The other half of the building looked to be a workshop for building the furniture. Everything was fine until I asked the question, "I am looking for a butcher block top for my kitchen island." The answer was "Well. Do you need the island too?" I told her that I just needed the top. "No we don't have a top. Don't really know where to get one", she said. It seemed to me that they wanted to make the whole island and would have gladly found a butcher block top for it. I went into the store because it's not a chain store and they made furniture. I would not have minded paying a little more to support a local business. Well, off to the next store.

While most jewelry is focused towards women, there are a few pieces of men's gear. It has the feel of a gift shop, and indeed there are greeting cards, and wrapping available for purchases. It's a very wide variety of handmade art, and it's all well-presented. I'm embarrassed how much I've purchased here; the values are pretty good for what I look for. If you enjoy looking at hand crafted items like wall hangings, ceramics, and small items that can be gifts for either your friends or for yourself. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed any assistance. Even when I explained that I only stopped in to pass time while my wife shopped next door, he said he understood and to feel free to browse and ask questions. I was feeling welcomed, not watched or like I was wasting his time. That's good business. I really enjoyed looking over the items. You pays your money, you takes your chances. Maybe then I'd feel better about the non working items or kits that are missing pieces. If it's battery operated and/or requires assembly, it may or may not all be there. Clothing selection is always good, and the new location is a vast improvement over the old. I like their mission and what they're about, but so help me, I just want to buy things without coming home and finding out half of them are unusable.
