The NQ cafe is on the site of the former Sunshine Bistro and in terms of being a little sanctuary away from the madness of the hipster bars and funky always popular eateries, it does its job fairly well.
The cafe has great wifi, seating for about 30 and is a great little place for people watching as the windows stretch around from the High Street to the Arndale, with loads of chances to catch a few rays on a sunny day (in or outside).
The staff were friendly when I popped in and I found it nice and quiet to get on with my work which was the primary reason for popping by.
Their menu is definitely more on the side of toasties and snacks, but the soft drinks menu is quite exciting - myself being quite a fan of their fresh mint tea - for a couple of quid it was nice and refreshing and just what I was after to quench my thirst.
A lovely little spot, it'll be interesting to see where the new owners take it from here. read more
