It was a Sunday morning, and I could only get there long after opening due to my transport arrangements so I was worried ... but thankfully I was easily able to get a table to sit down and eat .. I'm lucky most of the people of Manchester don't wake up early on a Sunday. So it was a little quiet but inside was almost full when I got there ... which was nice. It was a decent day and I was kinda close to the window so could see the marina and all the people exercising and walking their dogs and it's with sitting and just chill. So with sitting and eating, I wanted to get something good. it always looked amazing when I was waiting for my drink to take out, but I'm always one to have eggs Benedict whenever I can, so I figured I might as well try theirs ... and it did not disappoint. It came with ham hock, 2 eggs, brown butter, hollandaise, and crispy kale on their own sourdough. Im not usually one to have kale ... but they made it amazing. I finished every last bit and wanted more ... it was hands down, one of the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. To accompany the eggs benny, I also went for a coffee, as you do, and an orange juice, which was so nice. Hands down will always recommend people to go to pollen, if not for their sourdough and coffee and pastries to go, but also to sit and eat. Love this place

There is a homemade Yuzu drink that I'd love to try next time. Outside has a few more seats than inside. They can run out of food, so I'd make sure you get here on the early side if you want food. It's a pretty casual spot and loudness level depends on the crowd. The food tastes very good!

The stand its-self is quite small, but this is typical of stands of this nature. I called at here by chance to try some Lancashire Cheese, and I asked for a sample which they delivered, the quality was very good, much better than I've found on the market and for a long amount of time I have struggled to find a good Lancashire Cheese, since my regular one was discontinued by Tesco. The stock seemed slightly bare in what was displayed on the stall, there were a few kinds of cheese but there wasn't a large amount of them or even information about them in a clearer and easier way. The member of staff working was the same on most of my visits, she seemed friendly enough. The pricing is also reasonable. Cheese Quality 4/5 Cheese Selection 2/5 Overall feel of the stall 2/5 Overall selection 2/5 Other items sold 2.5/5 Pricing 3/5 - This averages around a 2 to a 3-star rating but due to the service and pricing being average/satisfactory and the quality being above average, despite multiple flaws I do feel this deli and bakery business, Handsford's deserves a three-star rating.

It's full of some great independent businesses that offer a great alternative to all the corporate blandness going on in the rest of the Arndale Centre. Hansfords is kind of half deli, half bakery, offering made-to-order sandwiches as well as a few cakes and pastries. To get a quick, simple and filling lunch, Hansfords have the whole thing covered.

Also the fellow handing out the free samples ignored me and my partner but it didn't stop us from getting that cinnamon roll.

For me, a perfect visit is to get a cinnamon sweet roll (warmed, with extra frosting!) and a nice big cup of tea, not only because it's so delicious that you groan when you take your first bite (*ahem*), but because it's such good value, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The venue itself is long and narrow, but has several tables and a stylish art piece on the wall showing people enjoying the sweet rolls! This place is a real gem, but because it's just at the top of the escalators near the entrance, people tend to miss it, despite the free samples often offered! Definitely give this place a try sometime, it's too delicious not to!

The coffee shop is in an old mill building next to the canal and it is SO PRETTY. I went for when it opened so I was the first one in and I had a great chat with one of the staff about dragonball z as I was wearing a shirt of it. Inside it looked immaculate, very trendy and a place I would love to go to, time and time again. It was a large space too and they had their own merchandise in there which I will buy one day and a full cabinet of delicious looking treats .. all handmade and not the usual manufactured items. I went for a donut and a flat white and they were both amazing. As I was on a coffee tour, I took it all out and had it whilst sat next to the canal ... perfect view for a perfect coffee. I couldn't recommend this place more and I count the days until I can return.

Go in through the main entrance, past reception and the cafe is on the far right. In side it's dimly lit but cosy with lots of exposed wood. Great coffee, great cakes and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Every time we've been here it's always pleasantly busy but not overcrowded. There's plenty of seating inside at tables and long benches, or you can head into the "outside" seating area, which is actually indoors but under glass and so protected from the weather. They also roast their own coffee so you can pick up a bag to go.
