I went for when it opened so I was the first one in and I had a great chat with one of the staff about dragonball z as I was wearing a shirt of it. Inside it looked immaculate, very trendy and a place I would love to go to, time and time again. It was a large space too and they had their own merchandise in there which I will buy one day and a full cabinet of delicious looking treats .. all handmade and not the usual manufactured items. I went for a donut and a flat white and they were both amazing. As I was on a coffee tour, I took it all out and had it whilst sat next to the canal ... perfect view for a perfect coffee. I couldn't recommend this place more and I count the days until I can return.

Go in through the main entrance, past reception and the cafe is on the far right. In side it's dimly lit but cosy with lots of exposed wood. Great coffee, great cakes and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Every time we've been here it's always pleasantly busy but not overcrowded. There's plenty of seating inside at tables and long benches, or you can head into the "outside" seating area, which is actually indoors but under glass and so protected from the weather. They also roast their own coffee so you can pick up a bag to go.

One Sunday I went up as I could get there for opening time and decided to cross it off my list. When I got there it was already open so that was a little confusing ... but it was RAMMED. Luckily, I was going on my own so could easily be sat at the window, which was a great view, and easily got served. So many people came in after me and couldn't be seated without a reservation. But the host was very lovely and gracious and people understood. Food wise I went for the shakshuka, it sounded nice, and it really was ... it was also EXTREMELY hot because it was served in cast iron and kept its heat. It was delicious. The toast was crispy, the tomatoes were tasty, chickpeas were crunchy and a nice addition, The added sausage was very delicious, the eggs were good although I would have preferred if they had some runny yolk but its almost impossible to get that with baked eggs. I went pretty early so was the only one in at the time and I was super happy with everything ... the layout was gorgeous ... the ambiance was amazing and I loved it all. There was sanitiser as I went in, mask mandate, and the NHS scan code. The food was exceptional and the coffee was one of the nicest I've had and the cutlery and crockery added a very nice touch. The service was quick and after ordering, my food came soon after. I enjoyed the gravy more than the barbecue sauce. It had a bit of a sweet taste to it which works well with the chicken (I did find it a bit salty). The portion size was good for the price. I'm not too much of a fan of sweet things but I saw that they had pancakes and would try that next time I check this place out!

(Side note: What an incredible place Royal Mills is as well by the way. There are so many unused units in there. I can totally see this place blossoming into a busy bazaar in the not so distant future) Anyway back to my latex hunt, a day before halloween and they'd sold out (Who knew how popular this stuff was near Halloween? Not me!) However this gave me a chance to have a quick snoop around this fabulous coffee shop. Admittedly my parking meter allowed me little time to enjoy the spacious surroundings. But the high ceiling and huge comfy sofas will get another visit soon enough, and with it an updated review. So watch this space. I've been to several now as my girlfriend drags me to cat…read morecafes around the world (Thai cat cafes remain #1 on the official girlfriend cat cafe ranking) - however this one was really solid both as a cat lounge and a cafe. The full cafe had (unlimited) nice drinks and fast wifi for £12/hour. We reserved and prepaid online a few days in advance (they reserve 50% capacity for reservations and 50% for walkins), and sat for an hour (it's £1/5 minutes to stay past the hour reservation (the same rate except in 5 minute increments)). We were wishing for a few more cats - but the 7 or so that were out were some nice, high quality cats. Top tip: buy cat treats from the cafe - the cats will love you for the rest of the hour.
