There's loads of branches all across the country and they're pretty much all the same in offering the hot food, sandwiches, soft drinks and proper bean coffee. I have to say that in my mind the best thing they do is their breakfast meal deal which comes in at a pretty decent £2 for either a bacon or sausage map and espresso based drink (or tea) of your choice. This is fantastic value and served till 11am I think so really not to be missed if you're needing a quick first or second breakfast - this is definitely always a good call on a hangover day!

The meat pies are to die for one, definitely one of the best around. All their product are reasonably priced and all the foods are very tasty. There are quite a few staff working behind the counter so you don't normally have to wait long to be served. The staff are also very happy and friendly often giving away free pieces of cake with you order. It is a fantastic place to pop in to for your dinner on your lunch hour. Highly recommend.

I got chatting to the girl behind the counter who was very knowledgable of their product range and after myself umming, arrhing and probably over thinking it went for their pie of the week - the pulled chicken balti pie. At £3 for a pie that you'd definitely need to share it was super tasty from first to last bite (lots of meat, good range of veg and a lovely crusty pie case) and good value along with it. I can't wait to go back and try their standard range of pies, see what their next pie of the week is and even give the Stockport pie a go - basically posh meat and potato! Stockport needs more places like LOTP - here's hoping it's the first of many to arrive on the scene.

At the back of the store, there's a small deli counter that stocks fresh cheese, parma ham, pasta and other delicacies, a luxury wine and champagne counter, a tiny bakery section with freshly baked bread and a wee grocery section selling organic fruit and veg. If they extended these sections I'd probably visit more but as it is, the Foodmarket is too limited and too damn eXpensive.

Cheese & Tomato pizza is like half a 12 baguette covered in tomato and cheese and toasted for £1.10 and is great. Tuna Crunch sandwhiches are also great for £1.89 but sometimes the bread gets soggy. The prawn marie rose sandwhiches are the best for a sandwhich shop as they come with lettuce with a lot of sauce but not too much on either white or brown bread. The only problem really is queues can be quite lenghty.

I have family who live in the area, so Martin's always makes the list of "places to visit before we leave." Sausage rolls, pasties, iced fingers, lemon buns... you can't go wrong here.
