The prices are overpriced and the opening hours are disappointing. As someone who went to High School in Gladwin and often stayed after school to finish projects - and then after work wanting to grab a tea or coffee, closing at 4:30 seems... odd, for a coffee shop. The customer service is also not the best. I've heard multiple employees - from new ownership and last - talking in the back room about customers. On top of that, the service itself is okay. As a teenager desperate for a caffeine fix (and with a mom who loved instant coffee), I once grimaced and choked down that very same mix. I've also enjoyed espresso abroad and at major coffee chains. There was no working restroom, and the menu options were pretty average for a typical coffee shop. The space could seat about 20 if packed, with only 6-8 patrons there during my visit. I did appreciate that the staff were friendly and allowed our dog to the threshold while we placed our order -- even with a posted no-pets policy. They also replaced my burnt-tasting espresso upon request, which was a nice gesture. The cinnamon twist danish was offered only cold, which was disappointing, but my wife's fall-themed maple latte was the highlight -- she said it was good. We've had our cottage up in Gladwin for almost 3 years and today was the first day I stopped in this cute little coffee shop. Their menu had so many great flavor combinations, but I chose to try their cold brew with toffee flavoring! Their baked goods selection looked amazing but we had just come from breakfast, so next time I will be sure to try some of those. I love that they offer coffee flights and also the "pay it forward" board. Will definitely be frequenting this place anytime we come up north! read more

Cute coffee shop in downtown Gladwin. Fair pricing with a huge variety of menu items. Sometimes the staff isn't as engaged as I'm used to but the product is good so it's fine. My favorite are the lotus energy drinks that they sell they're good and have a large combination of flavors. The baristas were happy to make adjustments to the recipes so we all would love our drinks, and we did! The iced german chocolate latte with light syrup was my choice, and it did not disappoint. Stopped in here, like others, for the wifi. It's not really a commodity you find easily in Gladwin. I'm glad we did, since the coffee was decent, and the food was great. The chicken salad croissant was tasty, as was the dessert. It was fairly quiet in there, and the server was pleasant and accommodating. I'm not in Gladwin a lot when I'm in Michigan (mostly Midland and Clare), but I'd totally stop back in again. read more

The coffee is decent, the staff is starting to learn a bit more about how to run a coffeeshop. But, please, could someone tune-up the fricking espresso machine? The shots have ZERO crema, which is the first sign of a machine pulling shots at the wrong pressure. Also, could you please learn how to make foam. A latte is not a large milk coffee. The god-rock still annoys me, but at least it's a little less loud. The McDonalds down the street has Wifi now. I'm gonna start splitting my time down there. We stop in here from time to time for coffee and a snack. The coffee is always good...if I'm feeling indulgent in the wintertime I'll order one of their big, creamy cinnamon rolls. I like the Italian sodas -- love making a "cream soda" with sugar-free vanilla syrup. I also enjoy seeing local artists' work on the walls. CLOSED! So very sad to see my favorite coffee shop closed in Gladwin. I stopped in every time I was in town. Nice people, free wifi but most importantly great coffee. I don't understand how the State of MI felt this was a good choice to axe funding. At the end of the day, and using simple math, this place had to break even. What people may not understand is that this coffee shop is run by Community Mental Health of Gladwin for training of some of their clients. If the service and quality of the espresso aren't up to Starbucks standards, it is understandable. I am a Gladwin resident and I've spent a lot of time here using the wi-fi and I enjoy the quiet atmosphere and the variety of coffee and food. I don't know about the radio station--maybe the next time I'm in there I'll ask. And if you know how to "tune-up" the espresso machine, or other ways they can improve, why not make a suggestion to the manager? I'm just thankful that we have a place like this in Gladwin. read more
