Love the decor, friendly and helpful staff when you walk in, great coffee!…read more I am from out of town and drove around trying to find a quality cup of coffee. Thankfully this place popped up on my map. I don't care for overly sweet coffee so the girl helping me suggested the raspberry white chocolate flavored latte half sweet, which is perfect. I actually gave 5 stars but edited my post and knocking off stars for my sad to go breakfast I got.. I ended up waiting a while for my croissant breakfast sandwich and after I got in my car and saw it knew why.. It sat there in the back a while. Everything was cold (potatoes and sandwich), sandwich was soggy.. .Had potential but was a fail. I needed to get on the road so didnt have time for a pic or to go back. I was excited about this place, but with a breakfast like that it ruins a perfect rating. The staff should never let that go out the door like that. Not for 21.60 for a sandwich, coffee and tip. *Editing my post again and adding back a star for the heartfelt response I received from Morgan concerning my meal, including some things on their end to improve my experience. It's unexpected and unsolicited responses from a business sometimes that show they truly care about their customers and that deserves recognition. I will definitely give this place another shot when I come back through the area and hope the coffee is as good as it was the other day :)

Despite its…read morepopularity and the amount of people that arrived when they opened at 4pm, the servers handled it well. The atmosphere is great with a large variety of choices to pick from. I got the salmon Alfredo and my friend got the Fettucini Bologonese. There was a little blip as my Alfredo came out with shrimp instead of the salmon I ordered but it was rectified quite easily. We picked our food from a tablet that showed pictures and prices. The salad with cranberries.walnuts and gorgonozola cheese was very good. We were both pleased and were so hungry that I didn't take pictures. We had left early in the morning due to the weather to attend our early afternoon show. The sangria was also very good and I liked how it came in ready to pour individual bottles. We were offered a shot of lemon cello for the road but had to decline due to the 2 1/2 hour ride home. It was a good thing also as we had a few slick spots on the freeway on the way home. Thanks Gratzi for the wonderful dinner and in a rare case there was absolutely no leftovers.

I dined at Gratzi on a Monday evening hosting a work dinner for 10 people. I chose Gratzi for the…read moredinner because it's one of the few premier restaurants in small town Midland as far as ambience and selection. The interior of the restaurant is nice and suitable for a date night, special occasion, or work event. This time I had the Parmigiano di Coregone. I appreciated the crust on the whitefish filet, but the flavor was underwhelming. It needed extra seasoning (salt and pepper) to bring it up to par with the lemon-caper butter. The Costolette Brasate was too cheesy to the point where it consumed the taste of the slow roasted beef short rib. The calamari was the highlight of the night. Cocktails selection was good, with average strength. Service was a bit slow and I didn't expect that for a party of 10 on a Monday night. Overall 6/10.

The homey decor paired with the friendly service made it feel like you were visiting a friend who also happens to be a baker extraordinaire! The staff here goes above and beyond with the drink attentiveness--our waitress kept the refills coming and even offered us a coffee to go as the place was winding down. Now that's hospitality! Located conveniently across from the Tesla superchargers, it's the perfect pit stop for some recharge-yourself-while-you-recharge-the-car vibes. And don't leave without trying a slice of their famous pie. We were tipped off by the waitress that the buttermilk and berry pies are the crowd favorites, and I can see why! If you're a pie person, don't miss. Food-wise, it's classic Michigan fare. The chicken and rice soup of the day was exactly what you'd expect--simple, no-frills, but satisfying. I also tried the quiche of the day, which came with a fruit cup (not the freshest fruit ever, but no complaints here) and a homemade scone that was delicious! The pesto chicken sandwich hit the spot, too. Whether you're here for the pies, the quiche, or just to soak up the local charm, Mulberry Cafe has you covered. And with an attached gift shop, you might just find a cute souvenir to remember your visit.

Have traveled up north Michigan many times and always seen the billboard advertising Cops &…read moreDoughnuts in Clare. Made it a point to make this a stop on our travel route to Traverse City. So glad we did! It's in a small quaint downtown Clare. Street parking. Many different goodies to choose from, including donuts, cookies, mini cakes, and much more. They offer day "old" items as self serve in a separate area, so be sure to check it out for a great deal. They also have a storefront with jelly, salsa, cherries, honey and more. Also, tshirts and some other logo apparel and souvenirs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They were very patient when we told them it was our first time and spent time looking at all the options. Very reasonable prices. Probably the freshest baked goods I have ever had. The apple fritter is hands down the best! Pieces of cut apples baked into the donut. Delicious! The blueberry donut has fresh and moist literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate cookie with chocolate frosting is a real treat, very sweet and can be shared. The list goes on and on... every single thing we had was delicious - you can't go wrong with anything! It was so good we made a stop in route going home. This is a definite must try! You may even find yourself making a special trip just to get more of their delicious goodies. Stop in - you won't be disappointed!

I had been hearing about Cops & Doughnuts for years now. Our usual route up to Traverse City…read moredoesn't typically go through Clare but this year we did find ourselves going through on a detour and I thought that would a good time to try the place. I have to say, after the years of hype, I was disappointed. First off, the storefront isn't anything fancy. And it doesn't have to be! Most of my favorite donut shops are no frills with florescent lighting and the same cabinets and pans they've used for decades. But it's a weird vibe because it's also kind of touristy? Like they know they get a lot of tourists so they sell merch and stuff, and the two just don't really mesh? IDK. We got a dozen donuts to munch on during the drive and take with us up north and they were just ok. A little too dense for my liking (I like a melt in your mouth, pillowy yeasted donut) and very, very sweet. One of the donuts we got was the maple bacon "squealer" and the bacon was limp and chewy. I also got an apple turnover and had an odd aftertaste and left a bit of a film on my tongue. IDK, it all just didn't' seem fresh? Like the options had been sitting on the shelf for more than 24 hours. Maybe we got them on a bad day? IDK. The staff was really nice though, and I know they do a lot for the community so I don't begrudge them of any success, and they do seem to have a playful sense of humor which is fun for the brand but I just wasn't wowed. I can't see myself going out of my way to get here again. If we're detoured, maybe, but I think we'd be better off coming earlier in the day for the freshest offerings possible.
