Uncharted grounds was so charming, with its nice patio, large selection of coffee and food options, and quick service. I got an oat milk latte with maple and it was very tasty. The service was also great. My sister in law didn't like her drink (chai was made with a powder) and they remade another drink for her, no questions asked. Would definitely visit again next time we're in the area. read more

The outdoor seating is perfect for soaking in the lake air, and the inside is just as inviting, with cute decor that feels like a warm hug. We ordered the mini pancakes, and they were absolutely dreamy--drizzled with Nutella and topped with fresh strawberries and bananas. Sweet, simple, and unforgettable. Wow! Love this addition to the Houghton lake area! I walked here with my mother in law as we are visiting them on vacation. It was so hard to choose, but I got the iced oatmeal cream pie with oat milk. It had cinnamon, chai and cold foam. It was to die for! It really was the perfect drink! I'm going to have to go back before we leave town. The owner and employee were both so friendly too and the shop is super cute! read more

A local destination, for sure. We stopped through on a road trip with our pup and had a five-star experience. They use delicious espresso and quality products but it's the joy and passion in the whole place that's contagious. Food selection was well-rounded and the pastries we tried were clearly made with love and butter (cranberry orange and caramel apple muffins). The Sightseer latte was the perfect balance of vanilla, white chocolate, and cinnamon. Chef's kiss. So many seasonal combos and cool creations going on, I wish I was a local! The service was top-notch and friendly. This cafe is like a lake-house home in the best ways: comfortable, chill, full of joy. Delicious espresso hand-crafted beverages with a view of Houghton Lake is hard to beat. Oh, and seasonally there's an ice cream shop also popping. Too good to be true. The only reason for a star deduction is there is no restroom. The staff is friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They have WiFi. The chai latte was made with a powder and very tasty. Prices are reasonable. They had a few bakery items. Easy parking in the front. read more

Uncharted grounds in Houghton Lake is definitely a must go if you love coffee! The atmosphere and coffee were truly worth the drive. If you do not like coffee there are lotus energy drinks as well. read more

My car is having a problem motoring by without stopping. I've decided to try something new each time. That's if I can remember what I've had on my last trips. Anyway I decided to have a frappe this time. Not one to have overly sweet stuff I chose Cotton Candy flavor (silly girl) which I keep calling Birthday Cake--Duh! It tasted like Birthday Cake. I was very surprised by the low sweetness and rich creaminess. Can you say Yummy?!!! I did get brain freeze a couple of the first sips. As always the staff is friendly and (being me I always have questions) they are always happy to answer them. This was a hot Michigan day so patrons were inside working on a laptop, talking on phone, or just having a conversation. Overall it was pretty quiet. read more

Would be great if they had an option for brewed DECAF coffee! Cute small place, super busy now but came to get a decaf coffee and they didn't have any. Need to have options. Could benefit from more healthy breakfast options as well...Wheat, bran, cinnamon, blueberry muffins etc. in addition to the non-healthy favourites too. This place is the only coffee shop near North Shore in Houghton Lake and it's off to a great start, just could use some tweaking on coffee & breakfast options. read more

This place has got it all! The vibe is so cozy and quaint. The owner is so sweet and friendly as well! The coffee recipes are absolutely divine, and the coffee brand used is excellent! There's a fantastic selection, with a variety of substitutions available. The prices were also very reasonable. So thankful I only live a few minutes away because I will be coming back over and over! read more

The inside of this shop is so cute! They have a good amount of seating too. Their drink menu has quite a few options. I tried the pumpkin latte off the fall menu and it was so tasty! This coffee shop is so cute inside AND has delicious coffee. A calm, quaint aesthetic with delicious coffee? Yes please! The menu is quite diverse with lots of delicious latte creations.
