Their tool selection is excellent, from yard maintenance to electrical, plumbing, boats, you name it, and also have a good selection of quality work clothes and accessories, mostly Carhartt and Dickies. It's the first place I've seen since childhood that sells nails and screws by the pound. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgable and not afraid to tell you whether your own hairbrained schemes are going to work. While I've left disappointed for not finding what I was looking for, they've spared me a good deal of heartache from finding out on my own that my notions weren't likely to succeed, most recently in trying to find a cap for the lower spout on my water hauling tank. They also routinely have some of the cheapest gas prices in town. I usually try to fill up down in CDA when I'm down there for work as it's often 20-40 cents cheaper than Sandpoint or Bonner's Ferry, but if I'm not heading down that way, this is where I go to fuel up. More than anything, I like that this place brings that small town Hardware store feel, but packs it with big box store level selection and service. It seems like a very happy marriage between two very opposite ideas. Highly recommended!

I will be telling as many people as possible to NOT use Ferrellgas, Spokane Valley Washington for…read moreobtaining propane service (for either own RV or residential home or business.) I have been a resident in north Idaho for over 45 years. I know a lot of people and will spread the word as often as I can. They have proven to me to be totally unreliable and not trust-worthy. The brief story is...I called and setup an account with a Spokane Customer Service Representative approximately 45 days ago. My service was to include a small propane tank (120 gallon) to be delivered, setup and filled that would service my 5th wheel located in the Tamarack RV Park in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The CSR setup an account, took my credit card information to cover the cost of the deposit, installation and initial fill. I advised the CSR that I was changing spaces within the park the end of October so I needed to wait until I had moved before I wanted service started. She told me to call a week before I was to move and they would schedule the delivery and installation of my service. I called approximately 10 days ago (around 10/15/21) to reconfirm the installation, and ended up talking with someone at their 800 service number. (Turns out the Spokane Valley office is only open half days.) The person answering my call said they would send an email or text to the Spokane Valley office and request that they call me back to provide the status for new upcoming service. I received NO RESPONSE back from the Spokane Valley office. I then called again early today, October 10/24/21 and was able to talk with a person in the Spokane office. The person answering the phone (a very nice new hire) was able to find my account information but unfortunately could not confirm that I was in the schedule to receive my new service. She said she would talk with her boss and get back to me. I received a call back (from the very same, nice, newby) telling me that she was told to explain to me that due to a man power shortage they won't be able to deliver and setup my service until February. For those who are not familiar with winter weather in north Idaho I will briefly explain that it can begin to snow as early as the end of October and temperatures can range from below zero to the mid 50's and given day or week. Living in a 5th wheel RV during the winter has many challenges, but most importantly keeping the heat (propane furnace) operating is key to preventing frozen pipes, not to mention a comfortable living environment. Due to Ferrellgas's total disregard to upholding their verbal commitment and agreement to provide service, I was forced to seek out and buy my own propane tank and will take it to be filled myself when needed. I was involved in operating and owning a family business for over 40 years. We were successful because we delivered what we promised or better. B. Randy Rolphe Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

I knew better, but I did not take the time to look up reviews before filling the tank. Huge mistake. Now, 9 months later, I called to have the dilapidated tank removed from our property. I was told it would cost $149.99 for early cancellation (less than a customer for 3 years), plus $419.98 pickup fee. You have to go to a special page to find, in small print, all the gotcha extra charges. This really needs to be illegal. I can only hope Amerigas Propane LP will pay attention to all their negative reviews; if not, they deserve to go out of business.

Ther are hundreds of customer complaints on Facebook, Reddit, Nextdoor. After discovering how bad AG was, I cancelled. They picked up tank, 30 days later tried to suck $587 out of my Chase account. I tried to view the 'invoices' they posted online, and they invoice was not there! Got an error message. Asked for invoice, they were charging me fees not authorized by our contract. I've been in heated battle with them for over a week. DON'T ASSUME A SELLERS OLD Amerigas ACCOUNT! You will regret it!
