I ordered patio furniture in mid January, great time of sale service and an 8week time frame for arrival. Then we learned the hard way that they are completely lacking in after sale service. I began calling the end of March for the status, each time I called I was given a different expected delivery date and those dates would go by with no follow up on their part. I understand that they had issues with the manufacturer but a follow up to your customers makes all the difference. Having to call 6+ times questioning the status was extremely frustrating and we didn't get our furniture until right before the 4th of July -- all spring with no furniture when I intentionally purchased in January to have it in time for spring was ridiculous. We do love the quality of the furniture but highly unlikely we'll return for any future business. read more

We got our couch repaired to the tune of almost $600. Everything seemed great, customer service seemed nice.... 8 weeks later the stitching rips open and has to be repaired again. Oh, well I'm sure it happens, I called them up and they said bring it in, we will fix it asap. I dropped off the cushion. To get it back I had to wait months, call a half dozen times, stop by. We have looked for a good outdoor product at a fair price for a year and today we stumbled across Jacobs custom living. They had a showroom full of options at many price points to our surprise. Darby helped us without a bit of pressure. He explained options, looked at our yard layout and proved multiple viable options. Slow and incredibly overpriced. The seamstress left a permanent crease in a VERY expensive coverlet. They offer to help with searching... but then don't. Extremely high priced pillows are constructed with very cheap inserts. I won't be working with Jacobs again. read more

We bought a couch at a consignment store, got a great deal on mid century furniture because it was broken. But we knew we could take it to Jacobs and they would do a great job and cost effective fix. We took in 2 barstool seats to be recovered- one of the owners, Donna, told us it would be a couple of weeks to complete the job. When I called after 5 weeks, we were told it'd take 8 weeks, and left a voicemail for Donna to return my call, but she never called me back. I guess since they already had my money, she just didn't care about good customer service. We have other furniture we want reupholstered but wanted to see how Jacob's did with the barstool seats to see how well they did. The quality is okay, but to wait nearly 8 weeks to get these seats back was Ridiculous-- We will never do business with them again. We'll go elsewhere for the other leather furniture pieces we want recovered . Apparently good customer service isn't important at Jacob's. They need to be honest about how long a job will take- and return phone calls to their customers. read more

I experienced amazing customer service from Jacobs. I ordered a fire table which was slightly delayed by the manufacturer. I expressed my disappointment to Corey as we were having company and that was why we ordered the table in the first place. Corey called me back 5 minutes later and said they felt bad about my situation and would it be okay of they delivered one of their floor models to use? Not only that, but when the delivered it it came with a full propane tank. Awesome. I also ordered outdoor furniture from there and they were more than helpful in getting me an additional piece the next year, even though my fabric had been discontinued. What a great store! Do not take your business here!! We read good reviews about this place and heard ads on the radio and since they were a good price we figured we would give them a try, especially being a family owed local business. Everything that could've gone wrong did. Let's start at the beginning. They forgot to schedule us in for our appointment they told us we had so it took then two months to finish a job that should have taken 2 weeks. When we went to pick up our boat the job was incomplete. The employee that gave us a quote in the beginning gave us the wrong quote for the whole job. We then had to schedule to take our boat back in to get the vinyl floors done. While we had it though we noticed they caused damage to the fiberglass of the boat, the seats weren't all bolted in and there were tears in the brand new upholstery job. They told us it would only take another week to get the floors done and that turned into two weeks. We just went to pick it up at the time they told us it would be done and while we cleaned our seats Clayton was bolting our seats in because we pointed out they weren't bolted in and he glued a tear that I pointed out wasn't fixed. Personally I don't really feel they did quality work with the upholstery or flooring after all was said and done. The arrogance in the owner when I expressed my feelings upset me even more. I am usually not one to be this hard on a business and I pride myself on being a positive person but this business left such a horrible taste in my mouth and I will be telling everyone I know to never use them. read more

Took my 2002 Jaguar XJ8 in to have the headboard replaced. I hadn't driven it for 2 weeks after having picked it up, then I noticed that a piece of the back door hand grab cover was missing. I called Cody who I dealt with and he told me "Oh yeah, one of the guys told me they noticed that it was missing." And he told me that the following day they were doing a big cleanup of the shop and that they would look for it. He told me he'd call back the following day. I waited a few days to hear from him then called and asked for him. Never received a call back after having called three times and being told he was busy and would call back. This Jag was in pristine condition when I brought it in. These hand grabs had to be removed to replace what they worked on. Why wasn't I told that they noticed this upon me picking up my vehicle? My calls are being avoided and that really pisses me off. I know they lost that piece and will say that it was missing when I brought it in. Replacement cost for that small piece because of the type of vehicle and the age will not be cheap. Poor, poor customer service and I will be reporting them to BBB tomorrow. Update: after searching the vehicle from hood to trunk, I finally found the missing piece tucked way down inside the passenger seat back pocket. It had to have been placed there by a worker and forgotten about. So, I found the piece BUT that does not excuse the poor customer service of not returning my calls. Prior to me having the work done, the person who I was trying to get ahold of answered his phone immediately every time I phoned him. My calls, because of the problem, I feel we're just being avoided. read more

If I could give them a negative rating, I would! Sadly enough, I have done business with them twice before, trying for a third time. This time was a complete JOKE! I had a small boat cushion to be covered. On May 14, I brought in my own shaped foam piece for them to use and an example cushion to make it easier for them. Ha! Cody quoted me 2 hours worth of labor and said it would take 4 to 6 weeks. Wow, really? Whatever, I wanted it done and wasn't really in a hurry since it wasn't quite summer time yet. I called to check on it 4 weeks later, not started. I waited 2 more weeks and stopped in to pick it up because now we were going boating. Not started! Cody gave me my example cushion back so that I would have something in its place along with lip service about how busy they were. I called a week later, nope, not ready. I finally went in on July 17 and nothing had been done. I took my foam piece back and got "I'm sorry" from Darby because Cody had gone home for the day. I called Cody the next day to get an explanation. He never returned my call. I was never pushy or rude and I'm a little sorry I wasn't. That was terrible customer service. The other projects they did for me were not done well or timely either. My teenage son would have done a better job sewing our bimini cover they did for us. We even gave them pictures of a bimini they did for another client which was exactly like ours. They took 4 weeks to start that for us too and then realized they didn't have the black netting required to do it. And my dining room chairs were re-covered after 2 months but the legs were about to fall off when I picked them up. I would never recommend Jacobs for anything. Terrible workmanship and terrible customer service. Don't take your projects to them or you'll be sorry too! read more

I took my boat seat and back portion of my boat top camper canvas in in November of 2015 thinking I didn't need them till April 2016, but I guess I didn't give them enough time to do the work. I called Darby the 2nd week of April they hadn't got to it yet and he would call me in a couple weeks, never heard from him, so I called him mid May, still not done but he told me they were working on it, I went there twice in June and finally got my seat back 2nd week of June but still no camper canvas. I went there the week before the fourth of July and Cody said he didn't like the way it turned out so he was going to fix it. I called him on July 5 and said I was going to pick it up Friday. so I went there on Fri and Cody told me his employee took it home to work on it and he hasn't been to work for a couple of days. I told Cody I wasn't leaving without my boat top so he called the employee at home, 10 minutes later he told me he was going to the guys house to pick it up, when he returned with the top, no one had worked on it at all, it was the same as when I took it there 8 months earlier.
