CM Heating Review…read more We decided to go with CM Heating for several reasons. Their reviews online were very good. I talked to my neighbors to hear what their experience was and CM Heating name was brought up a couple times as a stand out company. The sales person Amber was very professional and gave us a ton of information. She was instantly responsive when I had questions. We got 3 bids for this job. I took all the information and used AI to compare the mountain of info to get its take in the bids. Cm Heating consistently had the edge over the others. The main reason was the warranty. If you are spending a fair amount of money, you need a good warranty. All said and done CM Heating was the winner Getting an install date was a breeze. All the detail work was handled by them. The office sent me the permits to print and post. Install Day I was notified of the time they would arrive and the guys were right on time Tim and Melvin sized up the job and jumped in at full speed. Melvin worked on the furnace Tim on the Heat Pump. These guys never stopped the entire time except when my wife brought them some home made chocolate chip cookies. I was very impressed with their performance. We had questions along the way and they provided answers immediately. Great trustworthy people. By the time they were done all the areas were spotless. When it stopped heating in Winter (thankfully, we have back-up propane), CM quoted us $3,200 for a thermal expansion valve (TXV) replacement. They explicitly said that while the parts were covered under warranty, the labor was not. We got a second opinion -- and while the part failed, the second company pointed out that we had a 10 year parts and labor warranty (he was easily able to get to this info, which means CM should have, too -- especially since they sold it to me). I've now called CM several times to inform them that they need to cover the repair, but I've been ghosted. I assume this is likely because they can charge a higher rate for labor on a customer-pay job than they can be paid by the warranty company and are hoping I'll go to another company, but I have no proof of that. As far as I'm concerned, they sold me the unit and the warranty -- and they can do the repair. Once the warranty is over? I'll never deal with CM again.

We are more than pleased with the result and have no regrets following Brad's suggestion. We had him come out in August '19 to install a ductless heat pump and he made short time of the whole process: Three days was all it took to install one outdoor unit and four Emura indoor units. Brad was unobtrusive to our daily routine and was careful not to make a mess wherever he worked. He was informative and thorough in telling us how to operate and maintain the indoor and outdoor units. Our monthly electric bill hasn't changed much, however, this past winter our house was 10-15 degrees warmer with this heat pump system than when we used portable heaters and electric wall heaters. Having a warm house was worth every penny that we spent. Thanks to Brad and his quick installation, we will be enjoying a warm house for many years to come.

Their pricing bid kept getting beat by their competitor and when I shared why the sales person did not understand and thought I didn't like him. Second experience was I got a bid from their plumbing project for an ejector pump relocation and heat pump water tank. They gave me a great bid so I accepted and put down a deposit. 2 weeks later on the day the plumber was suppose to install he calls and said he forgot to order the parts. I said okay no worries let's reschedule. Another 2 weeks pass by and the day of the appointment two new plumbers showed up that had no idea of the scope of the work nor did they have the parts for install. At this point I was frustrated as I paid a deposit and took time off work. They said the plumber who gave me the bid will come tomorrow. Well here comes tomorrow and nobody shows up. I call Seatown services and they kept saying plumber is on his way. He never shows up and I call asking for a refund. They don't call me back!! What a joke and extremely poor communication. Do not waste your time with Seatown services. Also when you call them you're talking to AI and not a real person.

Theirs was we expect no overages and will discuss with you any problems we find before we do any work. Definitely using them again if we ever have to move.
