The house is tired and looking a bit dated. Built in 1986, we had updated our kitchen, but the…read morerest of the house needed a lift. Our contractor recommended we go to Floor & Decor in Woodbridge. First thing you notice...it is HUGE! Too many choices, too big a space. Bring a compass and a bottle of water, maybe a walking stick and wear comfortable shoes. If they don't have it, it is possible that no one does. How many shades of "gray" are there? Wasn't a book written on this? (Hint: More than 50). On our first visit, the store's operations manager April saw us lost amongst the laminates and vinyls. She gave us a quick tour, offered some advice, and pulled over "G" (he goes by G) and left us to it. G listened to our desire to replace floors in the basement, main and second floors and all our concerns and likes. He focused in what we thought we wanted, and with his patience we eventually found the flooring we needed. Along with quarter-round, transition pieces, underlayment and etc. Our second visit was for the master and 2nd bathrooms. This time we met with a design specialist, Imee. She looked at our pictures and our measurements and drawings, and then walked us through our color choices. On line we had seen "spa glass blue" and a vanity we liked for the second bath. For the master, my wife said "I like green". From these simple starts we bought tile, flooring, a vanity, edging, grout. Imee brought it all together, working with us to visualize our projects. Such projects are stressful enough. But the people at Floor & Decor were great to work with, so that we were confident in our decisions. If I can, I will add photos at a later date so you can see the results. 5 stars, would definitely recommend and will definitely shop there again.

The selections were poor at best, every item except the flooring and shower tiles was either on back order or discontinued. Even the floor tile we did selected was discontinued, but we were able to secure enough for our project. The vanity we selected and ordered was delayed, so we had to look for another vendor. The new vendor vanity was delivered in less than a week. Eventually the vanity we originally ordered did come in, but not until our bathroom was complete. Lastly, the value was very reasonable, and the only complaint I had was availability of product. Next time we would wait until all my items were on site before beginning the renovation. That said, I would certainly use them again.

After selecting them through my designer, I first met with Adam for the measuring of the kitchen counters and backsplash and he took his time measuring, doing it the old school way (not the laser way). He was open to different ideas and explained what could work. Then, after measuring, he provided two different quotes when I couldn't make a decision regarding a component of the backsplash design. He was available outside of business hours to discuss the two options, willing to be flexible regarding when the payment was issued (because I was out of town at the time), and came back to remeasure after the final decision just to be safe. They ordered and fabricated the stone very quickly. I was not present for the installation but saw it right after, and it was executed very well! When it was time for the bathroom, Adam returned and took measurements again. This time during installation there was an issue with the fabrication of the quartz top for a slanted knee wall due to measuring, which Adam took full responsibility for (no one is perfect!) and he corrected it as quickly as possible. Finally, after getting it installed perfectly, we learned that the angle of that knee wall would not work for the shower glass installers and my contractor had to remove the stone to build out the wall angle slightly. At this point, Adam and the team at Premium Granite were so generous to correct that piece of quartz a third time and didn't even charge me for the materials to do it despite it not being their fault. That was incredible service. The counters in the kitchen and bathroom look great! Although there were a couple of hiccups here and there, which is perfectly reasonable for this type of job, Premium Granite did excellent work installing beautiful quartz in my home. On top of that, they were trustworthy, fast, responsive, and better priced than many others- I would definitely recommend them.

The staff were so incredibly helpful, professional and most importantly friendly! We were lucky enough that we caught the click vinyl flooring we liked on sale and Danny told us the sale was ending on the following Tuesday but he would honor the price if we called. We talked it over with our contractor and decided it would work for our condo and called Danny to place our order. When we went to pick up our flooring the price had dropped by 10 cents a sf so amazingly they gave us a refund for the difference without hesitation. We pulled around the back so they could load everything into the car for us and were friendly while doing it. They let us know about their refund policy (a month if the boxes weren't open) and sent us on our way. We ended up needing to buy a couple of transition strips which were in stock and we picked up easily. Our floors look spectacular!! We didn't have them do the install as they were about double what our contractor was (although their price was still lower than other quotes we rechecked); but the floors look great! We were concerned that the return process would be a nightmare but boy were we wrong. We walked in, gave them the phone number and they asked how many boxes; they went to the car; grabbed them all, carried them in and refunded the money right back to the card. Bottom line: I can't say enough great things about the customer service we experienced and their prices were lower than big box stores we had looked at!

Lumbar Liquidator shoppers beware. My friend and I were both remodeling our houses at the same time…read moreand saw that Lumbar Liquidators was having a sale. First off, stay away from any odd lot stuff here...actually stay away from anything on sale here. My friend bought hardwood that was on sale and when the installers were putting her wood in, they stopped halfway to show her that practically all of the wood was warped and not installing correctly. She tried to return it to Lumbar Liquidators and they tried pulling the "as-is you can't return it" card on her but they finally let her return it. She not only had to pay the installers for their work with the warped wood, but also had to pay them to take the wood back up and she had to haul that heavy wood back to the store. I bought some more expensive wood there. $4.00 a foot hardwood and they installed fine so this place is hit or miss, but our problem is that we are still waiting for the stair nosing to come in (that rounded piece for the stairs) which we have already been waiting a month for. So now we have our living room dining room installed and our stairs look like crap because LL keeps telling me its on back order. The lesson here is that you can get good priced wood...if you are lucky. The problem with this place is that yes, it can be a good deal but all of the inconveniences you encounter may not be worth it. Also, get your own installers. We found installers for $1.50 a foot and they installed the floors perfectly. Other places and other independent contractors were quoting us 2.50 - 3.00 a foot for installation. Just do your homework, and you can save a lot of money. I would say to stay away from anything at lumber liquidators that is under $4.00 a foot. Its under $4.00 a foot for a reason.

So apparently I'm the only client who had a negative experience here. This will be a long review, my biggest takeaway is that if you are on a timeline, do not use them. We spent approximately $35,000 on goods and an additional $17,000 on kitchen cabinets which is a lot of money to us. We are a family who has been saving for a few years to build our forever home. I knew I was paying a premium on goods and that I was being charged more for the goods than other places but I did it because we were on a timeline with our move and thought that they would provide us great customer service. That did not happen. We also started the process from another state and were assured that once I picked everything, they would manage it. Before I get into the timeline issue, i was extremely frustrated by the all around poor customer service. I had to deal with a Mr. Joe Hunter on 2 occasions during this fiasco and he was rude and extremely condescending. I would never speak to someone the way Joe spoke to me on the phone. Additionally, our sub contractor was also treated pretty poorly on numerous occasions which I did not like. We purchased our house in February so that we could start renovations to move in June 1st. We hired a contractor who has also screwed up our timeline pretty badly but this isn't about him. Our contractor linked me in with Janelle who is the designer we used. I flew in on March 19th to start the process and again on April 6th to finish the process. We went over my timeline on both meetings. We are renovating 3 bathrooms, our kitchen, and purchased all new floors. None of our stuff was ordered until the first week in June. When I went in to speak to Joe and Janelle about it they completely blamed the contractor. I agree that again a lot of it was on him but Janelle regularly sent me emails and it would have been really nice as a customer if she had given me a heads up that none of my stuff had been ordered. We are still waiting on a bulk of our order and no updates at all. They were supposed to send someone over today to measure our vanity so that the counter top could be ordered. That did not happen. I have zero complete bathrooms, no kitchen and zero communication from Mosaic. Pictures of my unfinished bathrooms and kitchen. Premium pricing for a non-premium service. All the other stores in the area only stock 4"x36" or 6"x60" or 72" (Floor&Decor, The Tile Shop, Home Depot). I found a place that would go custom size, but they needed a week to do it. I literally needed "now," and couldn't wait without delaying the flooring installation. When I called Mosaic, the customer service representative listened and said they had just what I needed. Since I live just 2-3 miles away I went immediately. Upon my arrive I simply introduced myself and was presented the threshold I needed--4"x48". I was promptly on my way feeling very successful that I was able to find Mosaic, who saved the day. I'll certainly be giving Mosaic more opportunities in future projects

When I came in, another asked if the PTAC had electrical backup heating (through heated wire if it's too cold for the pump to operate). Apparently he was right; so did the replacement PTAC, only it was labeled more clearly. That made it all the more important to meet fire codes and not just slap any old thing in there. They couldn't help, and suggested a source. I was unable to buy this stuff anywhere in non-commercial quantity, but was happy for what they didn't sell me and why.
