Tonight I finished my holiday shopping for my niece and picked up a couple of beautiful gifts. The kids section contains high-quality merchandise. My hubby was literally double-parked outside, and I thought I could just run in and out, but no way. I wanted to buy the entire collection! From adorable natural cotton baby clothes to books, to stuffed animals, to toys, you will not leave empty-handed. They have something for every budget, and I think the prices are spot on for the quality. I truly admit to being completely obsessed with an adorable owl stuffed animal. Sooooo cute! Now, the best part about this store? Well, aside from the well-curated merchandise, is the owner. She's a total sweetheart and helped me pick out the perfect gift. She also gift-wrapped it in a super cute burlap bag with my choice of tissue color and a tie. Thank you...thank you. I'm so happy to see that this store is around. I need to stop in more often. I haven't done much shopping in town since Shirise closed their doors earlier this year (RIP), but it's fabulous to have a store where you can quickly pop in for a housewarming gift or just a little something for visiting a new baby. In the few weeks BlackSheep has been open I've stopped in twice to purchase: a) a lovely candle for the host of dinner during the jewish holidays b) a lovey for a new baby visit (the "real" gift wasn't ready quite yet) And of course I can't forget the few times my pre-schooler has dragged me in there for "just a few pieces of candy." And then, it happens again and again, until one day. That special day you make time and go in, and then kick yourself for not going in sooner - LOL! What an adorable shop with the sweetest business owners. A shop full of gifts and accessories made by local artisans. And, I might add, I'm obsessed with the Jade & Renee line as well. Do you see those sweet dish towels in my photos? Here's why you want to stop in. Because it's a shop where you'll find a little something for everyone on your list. They have baby gifts, toys, lotions, candles, super fun cards, socks with funny sayings and images, dishes, fun kitchen towels, and I know I'm forgetting a million things. Did I mention a few fun books and journals? Best of all, and what makes them super unique is the fact they do embroidery and t-shirt printing on site. Talk about a one stop shop! The owner, Leslie, was incredibly sweet and showed me several different options for my occasion. She even called another business owner to see if she could dig up extra tote bags on such a fast notice (I wanted tote bags, embroidered by the next day). I really appreciated her willingness to work with me, as well as showing me around after I showed up unexpectedly. I decided to wait on buying the gifts I wanted, but will be coming here first for my gift needs!!

After a few minutes of frantic searching every nook and cranny of my car, I remembered that there is a gift shop inside the park. I asked the clerk if they had sunscreen because I didn't see it on display. It was behind the counter. The Garden Shop saved me from getting burned today. Thank you!!!
