Went to NSAS earlier today for a hand wash which was separate from the automatic bay area that most people go to. There was a bit of a wait for them to get to my car but it was well worth it. They did a full rinse, hand wash, pressure cannon dry, and wax on the car along with a full interior cleaning. All in all they were done in 30 minutes and I was super impressed with the result! Having a black car, they were super attentive not to leave any water marks. Probably the most thorough hand wash I've gotten. The inside waiting area is very nice as well! read more

The service has degraded here. They changed how they're serving the car wash. No signage etc about the change. Lots of cars waiting and no service. 4-5 cars actually pulled away. I walk inside asking if someone's working. I got total attitude from the person behind the counter, who told me I'm welcome to leave when I told him cars had left. The cleaning was fast and decent until I realized that they scratched my car with the brush they use. It's a 2021, 6 months old with less than 2k miles and spends most of its life the garage. I watched on the monitor inside while one of the workers used the brush to scrub it. My car wasn't very dirty because again, it's always in the garage so the scrub brush wasn't needed. I get home and realize there's scrapes and scratches all over where he scrubbed. I'm very angry about this, will never be coming back and will tell everyone I know to stay away. Considering we get our cars serviced often and I leave a $20 tip for a $28 wash, you guys really screwed yourselves on a lot of business from my family. Guess the reviews can't be trusted.... or everyone doesn't realize the damage happening to their cars. My mats were also soaking wet and now look worse than when I took my car in. What happens when wet mats meet stuff from the bottom of your shoes? It isn't pretty. read more

I emailed the owner on Monday and never heard a responce, it is now Friday evening. Clearly there is little to no care when it comes to customer service. I've included the email I sent to the owner, I wanted to avoid leaving a bad Yelp review, but maybe this will get his attention instead. Good evening. I came in today and actually got 2 cars washed. The first one I brought in, I cleaned the car before I came to your business. I paid for the gold wash. The guys there moved all the stuff in the back of the car, as you can see in the pictures I've attached they left it in disarray which drew my attention to the fact that the back of the car didnt get vacuumed, in spite of the fact that they moved everything around, and didnt not vacuumed any of the back of the car. I specifically cleaned out my car so the back could get vacuumed without obstructions. This was my first time coming to your business and like I mentioned before, I brought 2 vehicles there today. I have not checked the other vehicle, but when I do, I will certainly let you know.  Needless to say I am not happy about the service I paid for. This is our second time having our cars detailed here and both experiences were fantastic. This is my go-to car wash place in the area. Even with a simple wash, their staff goes above and beyond what any other gas station type place does. The car wash is automatic but they have a staff to clean your windows and add extras to your wash. The detailing is apparently great but I've never done more than the wash where they vacuum your car, I believe it's called the deluxe wash. Inside, the staff is very nice and friendly. They have a place where you can sit down and relax while they're taking care of your car. The business also does things like remote start and paint work. Again I've never experienced this but judging by their staff I would assume they have a solid attention to detail. I'm a big fan of this place and their hard working staff. read more

We came here and got a mid-range priced wash. The Princessa (not me) was taking her nearly new car in for its first wash and wanted to splurge. I accompanied her. The car was run through the automatic wash, suds applied and waxed. At the end, the crew member wiped, polished and made sure it was perfect. Or nearly so. The Princessa noted that a pedal had not been cleaned of some salt residue. Not a problem, wiped more and all was good. So four stars, close to five. The reason I rate this car wash as a maybe and not a definitely is because the state of the area around it that is in desperate need of repaving. As a person with a lot of custom suspension work done to the car, it was harrowing driving in and out of the establishment. Aside from that definitely go here if you want a great car wash and after wash experience. It's affordable and high quality. I've been in newer car washes that weren't this high quality. The people after the wash to finish drying your car since the machine is woefully inadequate in doing so is the whipped icing on the cake. I only wish I had some cash on my when I went to give them a healthy tip since they definitely earned it. read more

It is a great place to introduce swirls and marring to your paint. Love, love, love the bristle brush that is dry being dunked once for an entire car to be scrubbed against paint. Awesome, and it turned out beautiful when I noticed long scratches in V patterns when it rolled out of the wash. On top of that, the kid gave the most half-ass dry I have ever seen. Rear doors, wheels, and front bumper were still soaking. I was defeated. A truly terrible service. read more

I just drove 30 minutes to get my car washed here as it says it's open now until 6pm- to show up to an empty and locked and CLOSED place. I would suggest as a buisiness you don't false advertise this information. I now wasted time of my one day off to get this sort of stuff done, was going to be a happy customer and was let down, and had my time and money wasted- I would appreciate being compensated for this. The money I would have spent to have my car cleaned is what I spent to waste my time driving there and back. To the opener of this business I would love to hear back on how you will compensate me and take care of me for your false advertising and information- I used to come here regularly and was always more than satisfied but this just wasted my time and money and is just flat out unprofessional and really disappointed me because I use this business a lot in the past and this just turned me off as a customer. read more

I discovered a patch of something gummy and sticky on the rear quarter of my car and knowing the care North Shore Auto Spa takes with a regular car wash and knowing they do detailing I brought it in for them to take a look. Manny quickly assessed the situation, had one of the guys use a solvent on it and voila, instead of a big bill my car was good as new. I trusted them to do it right and they did it; and because I am a regular customer the total cost was a thank you and a tip! My usual car wash was closed so i gave them a try and it was horrible. First off, i had to get out of my car and find someone to take the car. Then the guy at the desk was rude when i suggested they should be more considerate. Finally, the car wash itself was bad. The guys do a great job all around. You can print out coupons from their website and get a $5 discount on a full-service wash before 10 a.m. To get there, exit on Half Day Rd. from Rte. 41 and turn by the ACE Hardware store (west side of Rte 41). I'm ashamed to say I didn't realize how crummy my carpet must have been prior to bringing the car in, because they are now deep black again and look brand new. This was my first time here. I pulled up, I was given a "menu" of cleaning options to select from, and I chose the full service for $21. I didn't have a lot of time to review the options, so I just picked one and went for it. Great option, though I'm realizing I wish the upholstery could have been cleaned, but that's for the $80 detail option. OK, I'm writing a review on a car wash? Yup. This one is pretty unique. First of all it's in an obscure location--you gotta look for it. Can't access from Northbound US 41, has to be Southbound, and then exit as if you are going to McDonald's at Half Day Road (Rt 21). It's right next door. Drive in and it looks like the average car wash. The fellow comes up and presents a menu of different services--of course I go for the "Platinum" as it's been sometime since I had the car done. It seems to include most everything for $21 including wheel wash and tire dressing and rain x for the wipers and windshield. I usually don't go for this much, but it's summer! The interesting part is when you go inside. Every (and I mean every) car wash I have done business with on the Northshore has the average corridor that you walk down and watch you vehicle get the wash while peering through the windows . There seems to be something about watching your baby as it gets pampered. Walk in here and --boom-- a lobby, with comfortable chairs, flat screen TV and a monitor that shows four different places of the facility including the detail shop (they even have a dent removal service) the wash itself and the folks outside wiping down the cars. Free coffee. In a car wash? Huh. All this said, other washes ten to miss things. These folks are very attentive to details. Door jambs, rear hatch areas. I couldn't find anything to complain about. Very highly recommend this car wash and detailer! Usually, I'm skeptical and unhappy when I try most car washes or detailers. North Shore Auto Spa won me over. They know how to clean. It was pouring rain outside but my vehicle needed an interior cleaning. Everyone was chillin' inside - no business due to the rain - but I was greeted by a manager - Mariano or something - very professionally. My question was could they do a quick INTERIOR detail (clean, wash, quick shine) for a good price. They grabbed the keys, took it into a very ample garage area, and, when my curiosity peaked, I took a look into the garage to see how it was going. Whoa - three (3!)employees crawling in and around the inside of my SUV! My thought was, wow, uh oh, what's this gonna cost me? Suffice it to say it was very affordable and very generous of them. I figured one employee would be doing it - not three. The waiting room is modern, has a nice TV and was clean as heck. Also, they did something else that's rare for me at these types of places - they reached my standards. They carefully cleaned and polished the radio and all dash areas without screwing up the settings and they even got deep into the seats to get out the crumbs (not sure how crumbs got there, must've been hungry gremlins). I didn't have to ask them to do it. They also dried the insides of the windows very well - these are all elements I've rarely found at other places. It's a very modern facility, yet the people looked, acted and dressed professionally. It's right off the highway at 41 and Route 22 so it's easy to get to and easy to leave. Avoid this place if you need a real full service clean. The service is terrible. They make you wait forever for your carwash. For instance if you are doing a full service wash and someone else comes in for just an exterior wash they take precedent over you no matter how close in line you are. What's funny is that they actually spend MORE time on doing an exterior wash. The only difference between the full service and the exterior is the vacuum. So I guess based on this you could save a lot of money by just doing the exterior! Just avoid the full package. They're just to damn slow, they don't care about their customers, and most importantly they don't even do a very good job cleaning the car. Oh yes, avoid the detailing as well. We've had a couple cars detailed here and it's not even worth the money for what you get. There were spots not taken care of, carpet was left almost soggy, and the glass had streaks on it. We were recommend NSAS by friends of ours & have been coming here for 2 years now. Sure we could choose to go to a car wash near us in skokie (there are plenty) but the quality of a car wash/detail is worth the drive. They are super careful with the cars and always make sure you're leaving their lot with your car shining as if you just bought it. When we go we usually get the platinum wash which literally is more like a mini detail job, every inch gets vacuumed & cleaned (INCLUDING car seats guys!!!), all surfaces get wiped down & mats brought back to life (if you have kids you know the messes we encounter...these guys are pros at getting even the most stubborn messes out...lets just say our 2 year old got hold of a lime green crayon and felt we needed his autograph on his door). Basically if you need a good deep clean get the platinum, if you need just a quick refresh on your car & a wash they have other packages as well that will fit any budget. They also offer coffee while you wait, plenty of seating inside, you can have your little helpers follow their cars while it goes through the touchless wash as well. The only thing I will say is that I hope their website is back up and running soon because they offered THE best coupons on there! It went wrong when we pulled in the lot. Rude & unorganized .... LAST Straw...they scraped my front rim. MBenz Rims are expensive to resurface!! Way to go North Shore! positive: my car was mostly clean. ..... I was in Lake Forest on Vacation. I called the dealers in town. No go on a wash not purchased from them. I then looked on the Internet for quality washes near by. When I came upon North Shore Auto spa I thought I would be okay. Great reveiws!!! NOT!!!!!! When I arrived, I pulled into the line and sat for a few minutes without any greeting, "we will be with you in a minute "," hold on" nothin. I then got out of the car and asked for help. I placed the order for an exterior wash with conditioner and wax treatment. Some how when I went to go pay. I was told I ordered a silver package (interior and exterior). After getting that straightened out... we waited outside for my car to get finished. My car was pulled out the wash and sat, while several cars that was behind us had already gone. I then get up to ask if my car was finished. We where told it was. When we get to the car I noticed the rims were dirty and the tires not done. So we sat in the car and waited. I like going here. Its a good car wash. Thats it. Its not a hand wash but its very fast and efficient. The car wash is decent and looks well maintained. The guys that do the cleaning (vacuuming/window washing) barely speak any english. If you try to talk to them they may not understand. Just an FYI. Also, If you tip, the tip box is outside so you don't have to feel like giving it to the guy/gal cleaning your car. They split it after their shift. Its an ok car wash. I will be bringing my vehicle back soon for window tinting! All windows, for $300. As for the wash and detail I received during this visit, it was nothing short of amazing. Outside shined, including the tires! And the interior was spotless. They take all your mate out and wash them by hand, vacuum the entire car, and clean the whole dashboard of dust and such.
