Put in an RFQ to Tinting Chicago for PPF/Tinting services for my 2025 Lexus RX500, and received a…read morephone call a few minutes ago, despite clearly identifying email as my preferred method of contact. An unproductive conversation ensued. References made to current discounting adverts listed on the website were dismissed as 'former promotions' that were strangely lacking expiration dates. How could a promotion end without a website revision or an indication anywhere of an expiration date? I was then requested to send a photo of the website to the unsolicited caller to verify the advert I had and was currently seeing. I complied and was told that what was advertised wasn't currently on offer, yet no effort seemingly made to honor the promotion offered on the website that we both were, by then, seeing. Deciding to side with my lying eyes over the lying, duplicitous, prevaricating voice on the phone, I promptly ended the call mid-conversation and decided to phone another tinting installer. Hopefully, this review gives reason for others to do the same.

I have had black cars before and none had the deep gloss of my GV60 with Gtechniq Crystal Serum. The finish repels water and dirt. Super easy to clean and then dry with a leaf blower. Like RainX, the coating on the windows sheds water with little need for wipers. What I was very pleasantly surprised by is how effective the ceramic tinting of windows and windshield turned out. It is not just hype. This stuff really blocks the heat. If you hate getting into a hot car in the summer, this is your solution. I was suspicious of putting it on the windshield, but the ceramic tint does not impair visibility in any way and blocks the infrared as advertised. To comply with Chicago regulations I did 50% on the front windows. Once again blocks the heat but not the view along with sufficient privacy when viewed from the exterior. Not cheap, but a worthy investment on an expensive vehicle. I highly recommend.

The ceramic tints not only look great, but they make a huge difference in keeping the interior cooler, especially on sunny days. It's noticeable how much less heat builds up in the car now. I only spoke with Klaudia (the owner), who mentioned she was renting a space inside Pearl Auto Spa at 3049 W. Irving Park. Here's the kicker: Tim claimed, "When we first spoke, I pointed out specific scratches, paint chips, rust, and damaged body panels that would require bodywork, and you acknowledged that." In reality, it was the complete opposite--I was the one who brought up all the issues with my car, which is the whole reason I went there in the first place! I had scheduled the windshield tint on my tesla app which I paid for the service thru them and I told the person at the counter, which he tried to bill me additional to tesla. After the work is done which was 45 min. I received no warranty info on the work. He gave me my keys and no paperwork at all. I find that very odd. The work itself is great. The front office was a bit weird for me. Would I come back for other work. I am not sure.

That's not really a great thing to say to a customer where they will be worried if the work will be subpar or if the car will come out with an IED strapped under the carriage when you pick it up. I would encourage the business to not say things like that to customers and encourage their workers not to discriminate based on background. It's understandable that tensions are high in that regard, but business is business and we are all in the USA.
