I've been coming to Mike's shops for 16 years now, and he's installed great sound systems for me in an Olds, a Mercury, and 3 BMWs, and all of them sounded better than anything my friends had in their cars. We did have some problems with one of them, a Sony unit with a factory defect in the USB plug. It was in my daughter's car, and between her not using it much, and my delays, we didn't get around to bringing it back to Mike until about 9 months after we bought it. Mike was on vacation that day, so one of his techs repaired it. Unfortunately, the same part broke again about 2 or 3 months later, so I brought the car back in to Mike to see about possibly replacing the unit with something cheaper, but functional, I suggested maybe a stock radio pulled from another vehicle. I was expecting to pay, because it was my fault that much time had passed since my initial purchase, and I thought it very unlikely that Mike could get warranty coverage from Sony, a year after purchase. But, much to my surprise, Mike set me up with a brand new Pioneer unit, much better than the Sony I'd initially bought, and he wouldn't take a dime for it!! Now that is fantastic customer service!! I've always lived paycheck to paycheck, but I've always prioritized my music, so value is very important to me, and Mike has always given me the most bang for my buck in sound systems. But, on the other end of the financial spectrum, while I was waiting for my daughter's last install, I saw a brand new $110,000 Mercedes being dropped off, via tow truck, for some work by Mike. That new owner preferred to wait to drive his new car, until Mike had finished installing his audio system!! When you hear what Mike can do to your car, you will understand. I wouldn't even think of bringing my car to any other shop, and even if I lived a few states away, I'd still return to Mike for my car audio needs! read more

Initially referred to me by a San Diego county Lexus salesman, North County Mobile Electronics has been installing audio, navigation and bluetooth systems in my cars for over 10 years. The store isn't fancy, but the quality of work is always excellent and the prices are very reasonable. They never try to sell you something you don't need and they back up their sales and installations without any questions asked. Their installers are seasoned professionals who know what they are doing, take pride in their work and do custom jobs as well as basic installations. Their work is always neat, and they tackle challenging problems with innovation and creativity. I would NOT recommend this place.They have very poor customer service and dont give a crap about having a repeat clientel.i was trying to talk to him on the phone about our receipt and he basically told me in so many words that he had other customers to deal with.He acted as if i wasn't important.He kept interrupting me and making excuses.He would not listen to my explanation and he would talk over me.therfore,i couldnt explain anything in full detail for him to understand where i was coming from.Sure they do good work but you better make sure your not going to need any customer service afterwards because after they get their money they dont give a crap about you.I spent 600 bucks at that place and they treated me like crap. read more

Mike and the gang are the best. I had my Pioneer Stereo installed and I naturally lost the remote, Mike says now Bob, look behind the seat. I made a 9am appointment to get my windows tinted with a Groupon. On the phone, they said it would take 3 hours. I dropped off the car at 8:30 and at 2:15 I finally called to see how much longer it would be. They said it would be another 45 minutes....not because there was anything unusual about my vehicle, they just decided to do 2 other cars before mine. What's the point in having an appointment if they're not going to honor it? There were several scratches in the tint....most notably in the immediate line of site of my side mirrors. Annoying and distracting. They also left extra material and miscellaneous crap in my vehicle. The owner seems to be flippant when not only dealing with me, but other customers when I was in the showroom. By the time I paid an extra $75 to have the front door windows tinted (wasn't covered by the Groupon), I had invested more than it would've cost to do everything I wanted at most other tinting places in Oceanside. My advice: shop around before you decide on NCME. There are better options out there. read more

well I went to this place just looking for installation on 4speakers and a DVD in dash I Bought my self on Ebay brand new I have the kit for the stereo the wires everything I just needed the labor so I Ask the owner how much was gonna cost me for the labor he came with a ridiculous price of $450 dollars to do that I was surprise because I know that labor doesn't cost that much I walk away thinking why so much he was trying to charge me please stay away for this company if you don't want get rip off by they ridiculous prices I usually don't like to write reviews but on this case i though was Necessary to do it read more

do not use this shop!! they screwed me!! gave me a bunk car alarm that goes off all the time & sucks. they had to install it twice wasting 2 work days which was rediculous. they ripped the ceiling upholstery on my new car and acted like douches like they didnt do it & i know 1000% they did!! now mike is dragging his feet to fix what they did & claims a bunch of personal crap is preventing him from making right how i was wronged. now the repair is delayed week after week while i drive around looking at his lemon technicians holes in my roof and it is a new car and i cant even enjoy it cause of them!!! do not give your car to them for anything, they will only waste your time and money and act like a holes in the process. go to audio zone in o side where things will get done right the first time. i have never been treated so badly so long by a business. totally irresponsible for not quickly correcting their wrongs. stay away if you love your car and do not want a bunch of new hassles and repairs for stuff you never ever wanted to happen. they have been nothing but a month long nightmare for me!!!!!!!! o stars for zero professionalism. crack pots! read more
