He communicates well and did a bunch of extras for me for a very reasonable price. He doesn't believe in yelp ratings, so let's prove him wrong and endorse his business and let him know that yelp sent them as well as me I wanna show this guy some love from Yelpers because he deserves it. Initially visited North County Mobile Electronics to get some information about getting a dashcam…read moreon a new vehicle. The gentleman working there, I believe his name is Frank, provided all the details on the different dashcams they offered and what the total costs would be for installation. They also offer installation on dashcams you provide. I decided to go with the brand they offered because I figured they weren't going to offer and/or stand behind a junk one (fingers crossed). Plus I had no clue what to look for in one myself. I set up an appointment for the following week to have it installed. He gave me an estimated timeline on how long installation would take since I was leaving my vehicle there, and he met that estimated timeline. The dashcam has both front and rear cameras and they hid the wires/cables well. So far, I'm very pleased with the dashcam and the features it includes. I will definitely use North County Mobile Electronics again in the future if I need anything else installed and will recommend them to others without hesitation.

After a week with the same fuzziness I went back and was told the compression from the satellite was causing the scratchiness and a $700 amplifier MIGHT do the trick. Not so. After months I took my truck to Al & Ed's and the problem was diagnosed....the front speakers were wired wrong and I had NO mid-range! Problem solved, radio reception crystal clear. Irritating as it is and to avoid Frank's dismissive attitude I choose not to ask for a partial refund on the installation. I tend to not leave negative reviews but I feel this case warrants it.

I initially had a good experience with Michael…read more I was excited to find a nearby place that could install a stereo screen in my 2004 Honda CR-V. Michael assured me that if I ever had any issues or needed assistance after the installation, I could simply reach out to him and he would help. That gave me confidence in doing business with him. On April 15, I purchased the stereo and paid approximately $400-$470 for the unit and installation. Michael told me he had everything needed to complete the installation that same day. After about an hour to an hour and a half, he informed me that he did not have the trim piece (the border that surrounds the screen). He said he could order it for an additional $40. Since I didn't want my new stereo left unfinished, I paid the extra $40 with the understanding that he would contact me as soon as the part arrived. Unfortunately, that never happened. Over the following months, both my boyfriend and I repeatedly reached out by phone and message to ask about the missing trim piece. I have a history of phone calls and messages showing my repeated attempts to contact Michael and get this resolved. Each time, he would tell me he would "update me when it arrived" or "give me a call," but he never followed through. At times, it genuinely felt like I was being given excuse after excuse instead of seeing any real effort to resolve the issue. Not only was I still waiting on the trim piece I had already paid for, but after the installation, I also noticed that a wire had come loose underneath my driver's footwell. This was never an issue before the stereo was installed. I informed Michael and he gave me a date to come in. I was already on my way to his store when I texted him I was almost there. Only then did he respond, saying that "something snapped" in his back and that he couldn't make it. I completely understand that emergencies happen. However, if he knew he couldn't make the appointment, I would have appreciated a phone call or text as soon as possible instead of waiting until I had already started driving there. That lack of communication was extremely frustrating and showed little regard for my time. I strongly believe that if you make a promise to a customer, you should keep it. Reliability and communication are essential. When customers spend hundreds of dollars, they deserve honesty and follow-through. After months of trying to get this resolved, Michael finally gave me another date to come into his car stereo store. I arrived before our scheduled appointment, only to call and find out he was running late. I waited approximately 15-25 minutes past our agreed time before he arrived. Once he began working on my vehicle, about 20 minutes later he informed me that he had accidentally broken one of the plastic clips inside my dashboard. He told me he would have to order another replacement piece and, once again, assured me that he would let me know when it arrived. Just like before, I never heard from him. As you can see in the photo attached to this review, the missing trim piece is very noticeable. This isn't a minor cosmetic detail--it is an unfinished installation that I paid an additional $40 for and still have not received months later. I gave Michael multiple opportunities to make this right. Every time I reached out, I patiently waited a week, two weeks, and sometimes even an entire month hoping he would follow through with a call, text, or even a simple update. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly initiate contact while receiving false promises. My car is still missing the trim piece that I paid for, I still have concerns regarding the loose wire from the installation, and I have spent months trying to resolve a simple issue. What disappoints are the repeated promises that were never honored and the lack of communication after payment had already been made. Based on my experience, I don't recommend doing business with Michael. I sincerely hope he improves his customer service, communication, and follow-through so future customers don't have the same experience I did.
