I contemplated whether or not to give one star or two. Truth is, I decided on one because the bait and switch tactic is out outrageously annoying. I asked for a tint quote online and was excited about the fair price plus great reviews. I took it in for tent and a stereo install. He pretended he knew everything about my car and had to charge me $500 to install the stereo. He said he needed to cut the wood around the stereo and that's why it cost so much. I told him that's the wood has already been cut but yet he wanted to keep the price at $500. When we began talking about the tint, he also said now that he sees the car in person he has to charge $1300. That is $500 more than what he quoted online. But somehow, now he didn't know anything about the number of windows or my car... he did when we were talking about the stereo. I was excited to drop off my car and he knew it. There are some crazy drivers out there. I was driving down the middle lane of a 3 lane road and was side swiped. The guy claimed I side swiped him. So it was my word against his and the insurance company was unable to determine fault. After that incident I started researching dash cams. I liked the ones that attach to the rear view mirror and the 4k cameras as that is good enough resolution to record a legible license plate. I picked the WOLFBOX G930 and bought it from amazon. After going through the install instructions it appears the installation of the front camera would be easy while installing the rear camera would have been difficult. Looking on Yelp I found iTech Auto Customizing which was highly recommended. I talked to the owner and he sounded like he would do a great job so I agreed on his quote of $220 for installing both cameras and wiring the power directly rather than using the cigarette lighter. 3 hours later he was done. The cables were all hidden and the cameras were working great. He did a much better job than I could have. The rear camera was tricky as he had to remove the cover on the trunk lid and route the cables through the existing conduit. Also the cables had to be routed from the front windshield to the rear of my HR-V. The owner did a great job and I'll be back when I get my next car and dashcam. The WOLFBOX G930 is working well. It writes till the Micro SD card is full then it overwrites the oldest files. There are a few quality settings you can set. I used the highest quality settings with 4k for the front and 1080p for the rear. The front camera writes to a folder called channel 1 and the rear camera writes to a folder called channel 2. You will need a video editor to enlarge the frame to get a readable license plate. I am very happy with the installation and the dash cam. I contacted WolfBox support with questions about the dash cam and they were very helpful.  I was impressed they responded within 24 hours even on the weekend. read more

I recently purchased a used Fiat 500L that has been an absolute nightmare. The dealer I purchased it from promised to replace the non-working radio in the car as part of the deal. I assumed they would replace it with an OEM radio (my bad), and even offered to bring them an OEM radio pulled from a junkyard car when they had trouble installing the one they had ordered, but they said they had it handled. When the car was delivered, the radio the dealer installed was a cheap aftermarket radio and sounded terrible and muddy. It was also clearly not even connected to the car's antenna. One of the nice features about Fiats is the premium Beats sound system, so to say I was disappointed was an understatement. I pulled the OEM radio from the junkyard car and tried to replace it myself, but there was only sound coming from one speaker. At this point, I knew I was out of my depth, so I started looking for a professional audio place to fix this. I read the Yelp reviews for Kevin at iTech and drove 45 minutes south of my home to take my car to him. Kevin is the nicest guy you want to meet, and definitely wants to make sure your car audio experience is the best. His little helper, Hannah, is also the most adorable assistant on four legs! I explained what happened with the radio, and he said he could definitely take a look and let me know what could be done. The price was a little shocking at first, but he said he would keep it down to what I could afford, and he kept his word. He mentioned the dealer may have removed the amp, but it ended up they only bypassed it, which is why the OEM radio wasn't working properly. I was super grateful and very impressed that he was so honest and didn't try to use the opportunity to sell me additional equipment. He had the car ready to go in 24 hours, and when I got back in, the sound was perfect and exactly what I expected from a Fiat Beats sound system. What a relief! This is probably the only thing that has gone RIGHT with this car, and I'm so grateful to Kevin for his help making a bad experience have at least one happy outcome. I showed up and Kevin did not seem to remember the appointment and said he could not do it because his employees sometimes do not show up for work. He also said a another car got there before me and it was first come first served. He offered to give me $50 off if I brought my car back another day. Brought in my Mazda3 to install a new backup camera and new media display. The technician said only one kind of display was compatible with my car, and I had to suggest others from my previous research before he admitted those options existed. He tried to upsell me on random bullshit. After the job was done I noticed the engine had rough starts, and a week later my car wouldn't start at all. The Pioneer DMH 3000 he installed also had unreliable bluetooth connection, randomly cutting out while playing audio. Avoid these amateurs.
