Not only did Emad (owner) hook me up with great prices on equipment AND labor. He's very conforming to whatever you might need. Contrary to the name, they do everything in terms of car stuff. They're even switching out my muffler and bumper soon If you're looking for a humble, honest shop. I'd say this is pretty damn close to the gold standard. Will keep coming back! Definitely recommend read more

Best experience i've ever had with a car shop. Prior to coming here I paid somebody $300 to install a head unit I had purchased and they completely destroyed my entire system, broke all the plastic clips holding my car together, and this amazing car shop was able to fix every issue the prior mechanic caused. The owner EMAD was genuinely one of the kindest most generous person. After explaining to him my issue he was able to hook me up big time with an insane discount and even helped me get my money back from the previous mechanic. They did a wonderful job, repaired the clips in my car, made the system beautiful and flush and installed a backup camera for me as well, just generally an all around 10/10 experience and even came in the next day to install some speakers because the front speakers were fried (they've been out of service for the past 5 years on my car) and he replaced it and gave me a great deals! read more

Highly recommend. Emad is great and will do his best to take care of you. The value coming here is outstanding. I needed my speakers fixed because sound was only coming from the center speaker and rear door speakers. They fixed it. Then a week later I needed my dash speakers, front door speakers, and sub replaced and he did it for not only a great price, but replaced with quality and peace-of-mind. I almost got Kicker speakers installed but now I'm getting Audio Control instead -according to ai, it'll be a much better sound then the Kicker set up I almost went for. read more

If you are looking for the very best in car stereo, you can end your search here. This is a great shop. Fantastic customer service with great pricing. The owner, Emad, is trustworthy and very easy to deal with. His confidence and knowledge always brings me back. This time, my car needed full headlight restoration. They were very yellow and foggy. I could not see the road well at night. I contacted him and he gave me a quote right away and availability to choose from. I got there on a Saturday morning. While they worked on my car, I was able to relax on the comfy couches. In no time, they were done. I was amazed on how they were able to restore the dull, cloudy lenses to near-original condition. I cannot thank Emad and his team enough for always getting it right the first time. I love my car even more. I highly recommend stopping by and seeing what they have to offer. Definitely, a business you can trust. read more

Platinum Car Audio is the only "one-stop-shop" you need for your project. Emad is the most transparent service provider and will give you the best deal possible. Emad and team do quality focused work versus other shops that rush and will give up as soon the job is difficult. Highly recommend. read more

This is a fantastically run business with exceptional customer support. I called with questions about getting a new stereo for my Rav 4 and Emad called me back very quickly. I was able to get my car in the next day and it was beautifully installed within 2 hours. Emad even fixed a seperate fuse in my vehicle, all for a very fair price compared to other shops I contacted in the area. I could not recommend this place more or the experience I had there! read more

Horrible experience with these guys and I'm definitely filing a consumer fraud against the establishment. I went there because my stereo deck didn't power on when I turned my car on. I was told by the supposed owner to bring my truck by. When I arrived he took my truck in the back and stated he would figure it out. He came back with my whole stereo unit implying the unit had burned out, even though the fuse hadn't. He then convinced me it would be better to get a new one, he pointed out a Kenwood touch screen he said he was all about saving the customer money he quoted me a price of $500 saying that it usually went for $599 he then added installation for a grand total of $760. When I didn't agree with working out $760, he told me he has a finance company that doesn't base it's decision on credit and I would be approved to pay it off over the next 90 days. I agreed and he put in application when it wasn't approved he offered progressive as a finance option. I declined the offer he then went and grabbed a old single deck that looked like it had already been used. He stated that he would install that one and when I got the balance for the Kenwood replace the unit with it. When I asked how much would that be he quoted me $250, I thought it over and once again decided that I would rather wait. It seemed as if he was eager to get money rather then assuring the customer of great service. I mean $250 for a used deck with the option of paying the balance to get the one I wanted didn't sound legitimate. When I told him no I wouldn't be interested he became frustrated so I asked him if he could put my unit back in my truck. He then stated that in order to do that I would need to pay a diagnostic fee of $150. I immediately told him what diagnostic fee and he claimed that just configure what was wrong cost $150, even though all he did was pull the deck out which is a simple process of removing the center dashboard display and unplugging the deck. When I didn't agree he said what did I think was fair, so I offered him $40 and he agreed. When he brought me my truck I realized my deck didn't look the same instead of it being flushed it was sitting back inside of the dashboard display. I told him and he showed me how easy it was for him to take of the little display and try to refit it inside. After a couple attempts he was able to get it set but it still didn't look right. I had to go so just pleased that it wasn't inside the dashboard I pulled off. I ended up going to beat buy and finding the same Kenwood touch screen deck for $100. So after getting it I called him and asked him if he could install it since I had already payed him $40 and I would pay the difference if he would apply it towards the installation. He became very argumentative with me like somehow I had shamed him or something, he began to get vulgar and I hung up. He immediately called back and when I answered I informed him the call was being recorded and he hung up. Later on I told my cousin about the ordeal and she came down to see the stereo and noticed the face of my stereo was missing and that was why it didn't look like it did before. I called him back the next morning and do you this guy had the nerves to act like he didn't know who I was and sent me a text saying I had no proof they had ever provided services on my vehicle. The fact that he tried to act like I was some estranged person calling him about a situation that never happened really points to the kind of business owner he is. The snap finance he had me apply for ran my credit two times with credit karma and Experian. So I would advice anyone looking for car audio to maybe try Car Audio One on Miramar road way more professional and not so money hungry that they try to swindle you out of money for services that don't amount to nothing but them removing the deck and placing it back, then act like they never seen you before and don't know what your talking about. Deranged is what I would say about this owners antics and definitely unprofessional. If I could give you any advice avoid this business at all cost, because hell definitely try to sham you out of money!! read more

Platinum Car Audio - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - San Diego, California

Emad at Platinum Car Audio is the real deal. I've been restoring my 1992 Bronco and I'm pretty tech-savvy, but no matter what I tried, I could never get the stereo and speakers sounding the way I wanted. I went to a few other shops and got the usual runaround -- everyone wanted to sell me a bunch of stuff and nobody could give me a straight answer. Then I went to Emad. Within minutes he knew exactly what the Bronco needed. He was honest right from the start and literally told me, "I don't want to charge you too much -- you only need a little tweak here and a little tweak there." That alone told me I was in the right place. He ended up adding a subwoofer in a spot I never would have thought would work, but it was exactly what the truck needed. The whole system sounds incredible now -- way cleaner, fuller, and better than I thought possible. He gave me a fair price, took the time to explain everything, and genuinely cared more about getting it right than selling me extra stuff. Emad is down to earth, easy to talk to, and clearly knows his stuff. If you want custom work, honest advice, and someone who will actually build the system you want within your budget, this is your guy. I'm sending all my friends here. Five stars all day. read more

If you are looking for a place for your audio needs and want to be treated fairly and honestly this is your place. Emad will work with your budget, timeline, and any questions or concerns you have. I took my Ford Explorer in for a new display and I am very happy with the end product. Also, if you need to stay and wait for your vehicle the showroom offers an above average waiting area with nice leather couches, that are clean, and coffee, water, snacks, etc. I am really pleased with the service I received at Platinum Car Audio. read more

Highly recommended for anyone needing electrical work or stereo upgrades! I recently noticed this shop on my way to work and called to ask if they handle wiring beyond car stereos. Emad, the guy on the phone, confirmed they do. I went in to have a wiring kit installed for a 4th brake light on my rear diffuser bumper. I also mentioned I was planning to upgrade my tweeters, and Emad offered me a great deal to do both jobs. He was very honest, clearly explaining the cost of equipment and labor, and whatever he quotes is exactly what you pay. I especially love that he set up my rear diffuser light to function as both a 4th brake light and a taillight. The team was also very efficient and finished the work quickly. Highly satisfied--thanks, Emad! read more

Absolutely the very best. Platinum Car Audio is exceptional in every way. I first came in to have a dash cam installed, and the work was done perfectly--clean, precise, and exactly as promised. Emad, the owner, is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in his shop. His mechanics are top-tier. I later returned to have my brakes done and had the same experience: clear communication, impeccable service, and excellent workmanship. At this point, I can confidently say I've found my forever mechanic. I cannot say enough good things about Emad or Platinum Car Audio. Highly recommended. read more

My boyfriend and I brought our cars in to get dash cams installed, and he also added a backup camera. My boyfriend usually does extensive research, gets multiple quotes, and is hard to impress, but this place stood out. As a bonus, Emad was incredibly communicative, respectful, and genuinely helpful. He even recommended a less expensive camera for my boyfriend because the higher-end one wouldn't have worked with his CarPlay. We brought our own dash cams, and the installation price was very reasonable. After we dropped off the car, Emad noticed that my boyfriend was missing some CarPlay wires my boyfriend had thrown away during a previous install, called to explain, and got approval before adding a small, very fair cost for the wires. We appreciated the communication. Since I was satisfied with the experience, I also asked for a CarPlay quote for my own car, and it was better than anything my boyfriend found during his research. I'm getting mine installed next week. The installation pricing for CarPlay was extremely competitive compared to the other quotes we received. Overall, excellent service, great communication, and truly fair pricing. Highly recommend. read more

Emad and team can't thank them enough for their professionalism and workmanship. Always there when I need them. I never have an issue and when I do Platinum Car Audio has the answer. I am a returning customer, and for good reason. Platinum Car Audio previously did a custom install of my NVX subwoofer in the spare tire well. When it was time for the next phase (Morel speakers + heavy sound deadening), I didn't look anywhere else. The experience was seamless. Jesus at the front desk was excellent--he greeted me right at the door, had my 9 AM appointment paperwork ready, and got me checked out quickly at the end. Emad (the owner) was upfront about the labor breakdown, so there were no surprises. But the real highlight was Chris, the technician. He knows I'm particular about my Mazda CX-5, and he respected that. He even invited me back to the bay to physically inspect the Kilmat sound deadening inside the door panels before closing them up. It's rare to find a shop with that level of transparency. Consistent, professional, and worth every penny. read more

Platinum Car Audio installed a full aftermarket head unit in my 2015 Silverado in about 2 hours at a very reasonable price. The owner at the front desk was professional, respectful, and kind, and Chris, the tech in the back, worked with serious care and attention to detail. The install came out so clean it looks factory. They specialize in audio, but they're really a Renaissance shop that can handle a little bit of everything, from tint to suspension. I usually don't write reviews, especially for car shops, because it's hard to find an honest one, but this place breaks the mold in the best way. Highly recommend you can take your car here and feel relieved you did. read more

I loved the quality of service that Platinum Car Audio provided when I brought in my radio to be installed by them! Emad was very down-to-earth, upfront, and honest with his quote for services. He also hooked me up with a rear view mirror dashcam, the Wolfbox G930. Emad was very attentive to what my needs were and answered my questions frankly, which I appreciated. The whole experience made me feel assured that I was leaving my car in capable hands. The radio and dashcam installs were done very well, there was virtually no trace of work having been done after the installs were completed. I will definitely be coming back to have them advise me on, and install for me, a custom sound system in my 370z, and definitely other work or mods that I plan on doing! Awesome service got me in that day to upgrade my stereo. They went above and beyond. Good people thank you!!

I am newer to the car scene in terms of external modifications and upgrades. I had an excellent first experience with Platinum Car Audio thanks to great customer service from Emad. I came in to get sound deadening done on my cars and was planning on upgrading my own car speakers myself. From the start, Emad was very welcoming and enlightened me with a lot of car knowledge. They walked me through the process and ended up price-matching the speakers I was going to get while installing them for free. The difference after the install was night and day, and the road noise was significantly quieter. The sound system itself was amazing and completely blew my stock speakers out of the park. Everything was installed cleanly and quickly. If you're serious about improving your car or car audio, I highly recommend Platinum Car Audio. I will definitely come back whenever I want to upgrade my car. read more

Inquired through yelp to Emad. He got back to me quickly and told me to bring my car in the following day so he could listen to my car's speaker problem. He was very transparent with what he thought would be best for my situation. We talked about pricing/speaker recommendations & Emad was very understanding of my budget for this project. Was priced perfect for me! He offered to get my car done same day, but since I had some obligations to take care of, I politely declined and scheduled for a few days later right at open. Showed up at 9am on the dot, handed the keys over to him, and my car was done less than 2 hours later! He also took a look at my front car emblem which was loose & gave me his best recommendation for it. I'd recommend this place to my friends & anyone else who's looking to get this type of work done on their car. Will hopefully be back when I'm ready to get some more work done.
