Last Christmas, my family gifted me cash for me to purchase a dash cam with installation labor for my car. If you haven't tried using Yelp to acquire quotes from businesses such as dash cam and installation retailers, it's pretty convenient and many service type businesses will reach out to you. After sending an inquiry about purchasing and installation of a dash cam, one of the first businesses that reached out to me was DV Audio and Customs. Besides DV Audio, several other businesses contacted me and I immediately decided on DV Audio because of the professionalism and thoroughness of Dennis and Paola. They answered several questions I posed to them and although I probably could have shopped around for a better deal, I decided to have DV Audio take care of my dash cam need solely based on the professionalism and customer service, but besides those much clamored for qualities, I got even more once the job was completed. DV Audio is located in Escondido specifically within a small business park where other service type businesses are located. I don't remember if there were other tenants, but as soon as you turn into Wineridge, you'll turn right into the first driveway and you'll see the DV Audio signage. The exact address for DV Audio is 2080 Wineridge Suite D. The shop can be found by taking 15 North or 15 South exiting off of Valley Parkway and heading west. There are two parts of Escondido where car dealers are located, which is the east side and west side of Escondido. DV Audio is located close to the west side of car dealers. I received great customer service from Paola from start to finish for my dash cam project. Prior to setting up an appointment with DV Audio to have them install a dash cam, I stopped by their shop to ask them questions. The primary thing I wanted to ask them was whether they price match because at the time, Amazon Prime Days were going on. My intent was to buy a dash cam on Amazon and then have DV Audio install it. When I asked about price matching, Paola informed me that they do price match on a specific Red Tiger dash cam, but not on the higher end Red Tiger dash cam. She also informed me that it would be better if I purchased the dash cam from her because then it would be under warranty, which was great information to have. Another reason to have work done by DV Audio is that their business is military veteran friendly and they do military discounts for Army Veterans like me. If you pay cash for the work they do, there is a cash discount and who doesn't like savings. Besides all of these positives, they are also efficient and respect people's time. I dropped off my car at my appointment time of 9:30am and I was notified that they were done at 10:44am. When their technician was installing my dash cam, they found rust build up on the inside side wall of my dash, which I would have never found if not for their technician letting me know. This information was invaluable because I'm going to have the car dealer check it out. Lastly, Paolo provided more quality customer service after the work was completed by spending time with me going over the features of the dash cam. If you're ever in the market for a dash cam and installation of that dash cam, before you purchase, I highly recommend you contact or visit DV Audio and Customs to purchase the dash cam and have them do the installation. Customer service, expediency, and thoroughness from start to finish is why they should be the only shop you visit for dash cam service. I requested a quote through Yelp (after seeing outstanding reviews). Paola responded to me right away.....two other places didn't act so fast....not that I would have even considered them....DV Audio has a straight 5 star rating...you can look at the work they do on Yelp and it's all custom with incredible attention to detail. I had bought a dashcam (front and rear) directly through the manufacturer, watched the install videos, and figured it was best to get it professionally installed. I reached out to several places and DV Audio was the one I went with. Paola was very helpful in discussing with me the best option for install for my specific car (hardwired vs not) and explaining everything. Since my rear window is tinted, she did mention the camera quality could be affected, which I appreciated. Install took a few hours. When I went to go pick up my car, Paola walked me through viewing the videos on the phone app. I'd definitely recommend this place for dash cam installs! Brought my new car here again to get a custom sub build. Dennis did an amazing job on my old car so I came back for my new one. Took out my spare tire and Dennis put a custom box in with two 12 subs and I still have all my trunk space and the sub absolutely slaps with the festival quality sound. I listen to very aggressive bass music and again told Dennis I wanted to have festival quality sound in my car. He 200% delivered. The sound is so crisp, it's all internal where my wheels are not going to fall off from hearing the sub outside the car. I couldn't have asked for a better job. I now have better quality sound than most if not all music venues in SD. Don't take your car anywhere else in San Diego for audio work. Dennis and Paola will be my go to for life. Went in to get a dash cam front and back. I got Wolfbox brand. The front rear view mirror is the front camera. With a rear mounted camera. I give the Wolfbox a 4 star review. The back up camera wasn't accurate. It was first mounted in place of my original camera. I didn't like it. They mounted it on my camper shell for free. And put back my original back up camera. This business is awesome! I'd give them 10 stars if I could. They guarantee the work. They also guarantee the products they sell. The price was great as well. Dennis was very knowledgeable. DV Audio installed a new stereo with Carplay and a rearview camera in my 12-year-old car that looks and feels seamless, like it was meant to be there, The instalaltion ws accomplished in even less time than quoted and the pricing was competitive. I originally went in for a backup camera system from Infotainment where I got my stereo head unit from. Dennis is listed as one of their verified installers so I went to him. They ordered the system and after they installed it with the OBDGenie to tell the car to recognize a back up camera, it didn't work. After that my XM radio and GPS stopped working. If I could, I would give them 100 stars! We have used DV Audio and Customs for two separate jobs and both times they have provided us excellent customer service and communication at reasonable prices. One time saving us many thousands of dollars that the dealer wanted to charge us!! The first time we used DV Audio and Customs was to install speakers in our 2014 Toyota Highlander after the factory speakers failed. Paola and Dennis went through our different options without any kind of pressure. I felt so confident when I met with them that they weren't trying to "sell" me that I didn't even go to another vendor to get another quote for the job. The second time, we reached out to them after the Honda Dealership wanted to charge us $9,000 to replace one cable in our infotainment system (FAKRA cable) claiming we had to replace the entire harness. Dennis was so knowledgeable about the systems that we was able to create a custom cable for us to fix the issue for a fraction of that cost and system is working perfectly! Even after our first experience, I was recommending them, and after our second experience they are our go-to for anything audio/cameras on our vehicles and they should be yours too!!!
