I wanted a good dash camera so I checked with Soundiego to see if they had it in stock and can install it. He estimated it would take around 3-4 hrs to install like oem but it only took around an hr! I was impressed by the quick install and it was clean! I was going to do it myself but they did it in half the time and made it look the way I wanted. The price was also reasonable. I will be back for my future car audio/security needs! read more

I was really excited to get a new Kenwood interface installed in my car, but unfortunately, my experience here was pretty disappointing. I was quoted $140 for the installation, but when I arrived, I was told there would be an additional $50 charge for parts. I wish this had been communicated upfront to avoid any surprises. They told me my car would be ready by 1:30 PM, but when I hadn't heard anything by 3:30 PM, I called to check in. They said they'd been trying to reach me, but I confirmed that my number was written correctly on the paperwork--it just hadn't been read properly. When I picked up my car, I noticed a few issues: * The satellite antenna was placed on top of my dash with visible wires, which didn't look very clean or professional. * A hole had been drilled near the dash for a charging wire that I didn't request, even though my car already has multiple outlets. * The biggest issue was that several features like my rear camera and steering wheel controls weren't hooked up, despite my car having the capability for them. When I called to ask about the missing features, I was told I'd need to purchase additional parts. I understand that some systems require extra components, but I would've appreciated more clear communication before the install, so I could make an informed decision. In the end, I decided to dispute the charge and will be taking my car to another installer to have the job completed properly. I'm glad the Bluetooth works, which was my main reason for upgrading, but I was hoping for a more professional and transparent experience overall. read more

Soundiego - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - San Diego, California

Horrible place. Was told they would fix the steering wheel controls only after I would write a 5 star review on Yelp. The value and quality is crap. Warning: Don't come here! You get what you pay for. Not so cheap prices and horrible service and quality. Had to keep coming back several times for them to fix my issues. Spent $1,500 on CarPlay, dashcam and speakers when I could have gone elsewhere. Found a much better spot and I'm never going back to this dump. read more

Good deal and fast service. I had my mirror dash cam and my apple carplay device installed on our lexus. Best deal in town. Thanks

I contacted Soundiego via Yelp messaging to inquire about installing a dashcam that I had purchased. James responded promptly and quoted a great price and a reasonable amount of time (3 hours) expected for installation. I chose Soundiego specifically because of the great reviews I had seen, so I was looking forward to a great result. I blocked out some time, brought the car in, and went to get some things done. When I returned 3 hours later they hadn't even touched the car. They said they would get right on it. I came back over an hour later, and still nothing. So I said I was gonna just leave and forget it. They begged me to stay and offered a 50% discount. No thanks. Clearly they didn't have the time or interest in my business. I'm going somewhere else. read more

SOUNDIEGO HOOKED YA GIRL UP!!! I came in here an hour before closing time to shop around and buy myself and early birthday gift. As soon as I come in, Pete greeted me and walked out to my car to check out what my current subs were looking like. He made his suggestion, shopped online right in front of me and spat off some options of what to do. Even said if I went on ahead and paid for the service it could be done right then and there. Less than 45 minutes. HELL YEAH I GAVE THEM MY MONEY!!! The prices were extremely affordable and both Pete and James provided excellent customer service and a quick turnaround. I inquired about window tinting because I thought they did that here as well, but luckily my boy Pete also had a good referral for that as well! Literally got all of my needs taken care of with this one stop. If you're in this college area/city heights and looking for amazing car audio, check these folks out no hesitation. read more

Messaged Soundiego for a quote and James was very responsive, detailed and courteous. Asked for a quote on installing my Scar Audio EVL-10 Subwoofer and a Sundown Audio SFB-1000 amplifier along with a 2 Farad Capacitor and a Digital Volt Meter to monitor any voltage drops. James gave me an estimate within a few minutes and even offered to get me in the same day at 1pm. I rushed over and dropped my car off. I was told it would be ready by 4pm. They called me at 3:28pm to let me know my car was ready to be picked up. The install was clean and they put everything exactly where I wanted it as requested. Soundiego came in clutch and I'm glad to do business with them. Would definitely recommend this car audio shop. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! It's a shop that clearly knows what they are doing. I interacted with two staff members and the owner, all were incredibly helpful and kind. James was extremely timely in getting me a quote/appointment. Peter worked on my car and did an amazing job installing my speakers, rear view cam and new stereo! I also appreciated the accuracy of the quote and the fair price given. Top notch service, vale and results! Highly would recommend read more

Peter hooked it up. Sound system in check sounding amazing for a good price as well. Definitely gonna recommend this place to friends. An definitely coming back read more

The person was not in it to help you, it was just to make a sale. They failed to mention that the back up camera would not work, it doesn't lead you to turn it's just a cam. Also the clock on the dash no longer works. It won't let me access the settings to the clock on the steering wheel. Your best bet is to go to a wrecking yard and replace the factory stereo in order for your car to work like normal. This should be mentioned before making a purchase. If this was the case why make me purchase all the connections if they don't work. In it for the money. I would have just bought the speaker and kept the factory stereo. read more

I got a backup camera installed. They did a great job. Communication was excellent. Very straightforward pricing.

Great spot to get your car audio upgraded! They installed my camera systems very quickly. Thank you!

I was originally planning on purchasing JL Audio speakers for my 2017 Ford Explorer from Crutchfield and installing them myself using their installation instructions. I am not an installation expert and I did not want to take a chance of breaking something that would be expensive to fix so I decided to contact the professionals at Soundiego. They did a nice speaker set up in my old 2013 Ford Edge and since they are a "signature" JL Audio dealer, I called them yesterday and was told to come in first thing today. I got to the store just before they opened and was the first customer there today when they opened their doors. I already had the model numbers of the parts that I wanted and to my luck, they had them in stock! When I showed them the print out that I got from Crutchfield that included prices of the items that I wanted, I found out that they (Soundiego) sell the speakers for over $100 less per pair! I purchased the items that I wanted and Soundiego installed JL Audio front separates and rear coaxial speakers within 2 1/2 hours. When they were done, they had me test the sound system while my vehicle was still in the install bay and the new speakers sounded GREAT! The JL Audio speakers that I bought sound WAY better than the OEM speakers. Thanks Soundiego for the top notch job that you did today. I look forward to returning soon! read more

Needed my dashcam installed so I requested a quote online via Yelp and they responded quickly and were very accommodating and with good communication. I was looking for a stereo shop that was smaller and more service oriented than my experience with bigger organizations, read some reviews and decided to drop by this shop. The staff was cool and knowledgeable ( thanks Peter and James!) and everything was easy, with everything done exactly on time. I'd like to thank James & his staff for a great car audio installation experience. It's been about 20 years since I've installed a mobile sound system but do have experience working with various audio shops, and equipment installers so know what to look for. I visited one other shop in Clairmont Mesa who tried to oversell and overcharge me before going to Soundiego. While the shop isn't the fanciest and doesn't look like a "Best Buy" rest assured they are authorized dealers of great brands and have decades of experience installing mobile audio equipment. From my initial consultation to my decision to move forward, ordering a custom subwoofer box, and installation, James was communicative, transparent & honest though it all. My particular install was on a 2022 Ford Bronco and they tied everything into the stock radio as requested no problem. The installation was very clean, with no wires visible. Very clean & tight with no rattles. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and would highly recommend Soundiego for your car audio needs. read more
