I had an electrical situation with my car after having my amp, sub, and wires installed at another shop. The lights that are around the AC knobs were still on while the car was turned off and locked. Had no idea why it was doing this so I called and Carlos picked up. Gave me a couple of pointers to possibly figure out what the issue was. And one of them was that the amp has a RCA remote on and off switch. It keeps the electricity flowing through the amp, even if the car is off. I told him that the lights were not turning off, and after that suggestion turned off that switch on the amp and it finally shut everything off. I wanna thank you Carlos for giving me great advice and tips on what was possible. Had it figured out within minutes? Super happy that I called someone with good knowledge over amps! For some reason, this was never an issue with this app in my previous cars. If I have any more issues or want to do something new, I'm definitely coming back to stereo depot!! In less short: I originally called Stereo Depot because of a deal they had advertised on their website for a CarPlay head unit and backup camera bundle. I ended up speaking to the MVP of this review, the infamous Adrian who you'll read about all over this Yelp page and who has earned every single shoutout and then some. I was coordinating everything from my home in LA while my car was down in SD getting other work done, and Adrian went above and beyond in providing all of the info I needed to make all my decisions remotely, which was SO helpful and appreciated! When I started doubting whether or not I wanted to go with the unit on sale that had caught my eye, or maybe spring for a better one, Adrian took all the features I mentioned to him and tailored multiple options for me to choose from. I'm familiar with the upsell game when it comes to these kind of things, and I love that I never got that vibe here, and that instead of trying to convince me to go with one option over another, he gave me different model numbers and encouraged me to look them over myself and to make sure I was choosing what fit best for me. Ultimately, I ended up choosing a higher model head unit and I am so happy that I did. The install was quick and the stereo is absolutely amazing, exactly what I wanted. I called to get a quote for my Tesla model y for an amp and sub with installation. Talked to Adrian, he was super nice and polite to tell me and told me they have a bundle starting at $499 and should stop by so I did. He show me the $499 bundle and the price with installation. then ask me if I have a brand I would like to run. I told him Im old school and love JL Audio. He show me the first bundle which is 12w3 sub with a 500/1 amp. I agree to it but he surprise me with a better amp. A 600/1 and he will mount it behind the seat for me so I can show it off. The installation was doing great till his tech hit a wall...I mean the Tesla 12 volt battery keep getting drain for no reason even before we plug the amplifier in. He ask for permission if he can run the power from the fruck to the amp. I told him, "we going old school, I love it. Let do it" and BANG it work. Adrian told me I'll love the sound of the bass and he's right, I Love the sounds. We took over 5-6hrs for a 2 1/2 to 3hrs job because of that 12 volt battery problem. They stay open for me to finish the job which I appreciate it. Other place might have ask me to leave the car there and come back tomorrow. I would recommend Adrian and his team! Customer service was great. The people were very nice and helpful. Ultimately got the service I needed. However, time management can be improved. I was told I'd be notified when the part arrived, about 5 days. I gave them approximately 10 days (including weekend) and no call back. I called a couple of times, but nobody picked up. I suspect it might've been due to Easter Sunday? That's alright. I go in person, Monday, and was scheduled to come in the next week at 10am to get my car serviced. Here I am today. I arrive at 10am, expecting the service, aux replacement, to be done within in an hour. I was told it should be an easy installation, taking around 15 minutes. Around 11am, I was told my car would be done hopefully in the next hour (what!). I thought this was because there were people ahead of me to be serviced, but it turns out the person to install the piece wasn't even on site yet! He arrived at 12pm and said he'll get started right now. What was the purpose of scheduling a time to come in? It was 12:50pm (nearly 3 hours) until I had my car back. I'd have been ok if the entire 3 hours was contributed to the service, but service itself was a little under an hour. I can't help but feel very disappointed with the lack of time transparency. Fortunately, I had no concrete plans for the day, but I wish there was more respect to time. I appreciate the good customer service, but their time management can be improved with better communication. read more

Let me start by saying that if you are planning on upgrading your vehicle sound system, there is no better place than Stereo Depot, and no better crew than Adrian and Flavio. I own a 2019 Ford Ranger Supercab and have been upgrading it like crazy. The one change I had yet to make was to upgrade the sound system. Since I have experience with vehicle sound systems and wiring, I though perhaps I would do it myself. But just couldn't really find the time. It was a Sunday and I looked online for a good car audio place. Stereo Depot was open and close to me. So I thought I'd give it a shot. I walked in and was promptly greeted by Adrian. I was just looking around a bit checking out the stereos and thought I'd ask what he recommends. I am an extroverted person, so when I started talking with Adrian who is also super extroverted we got along like peas in a pod. Before long we talking about car mods, audio systems, sharing other hobbies and other fun stuff. I have been in sales for a long time and building a rapport with your customer is important. Well, we had that going in spades. All the while he was able to answer all my questions and make other suggestions. He was able to take what I was imagining and make it a reality, plus some. Adrian even took the time to take me to his personal vehicle and share with me what a really good audio system sounds like. "I WANT THAT" is what I said, haha. And that is exactly what he did. Next, Adrian introduced me to Flavio, who is a visionary when it comes to actually building it all. He built a special custom box that fit perfectly into the area I had designated. I build computers and wire management is super important to me. Flavio routed all the wires so perfectly that a computer server tech would be proud. Everything meticulously done. On top of it all they added a few odds and ends here and there to make it all that much better. Lastly, during the entire build process, Adrian kept me up to date with photos, videos and video calls. So again, if you a looking for a crew that is knowledgeable, friendly, willing to work with you and that will go above and beyond to give you that old school customer service that seems to be lacking in our modern world, this is the place to go!
