My old tint was very old, and I wasn't sure anyone could remove it cleanly--but they did an amazing job. Belated review - sorry, David!! - but if I had a character cap on here, I'd say: "Do you want an auto tint that is good, cheap, and quick? THIS IS IT. GO HERE. STOP GOOGLING." Haha! Seriously though... /excellent/ communication, gave me my price quote up front, and the only reason it bumped up (in price) was because I chose a different tint choice of my own volition before he started. I won't get into the type I chose or list my price, because much like your mileage may vary, your price may also vary - due to the size of the vehicle you'll need done. But I will say these guys are honest and fun and kind. The shop is clean, they got done slightly before the time they estimated to be done, and I had the joy of sitting in an air-conditioned customer area for enough time to get some work done on my laptop! I'd post pictures of my Elantra (and their shop), but they're not on my phone where I thought they were saved, so you'll just have to trust my words on this. The place does look quite legit when you pull up, so have no worries on that. My first ever experience with auto tint, and worth a five-star review... throw in a sixth star because this biz deserves it! And now I get the joy of essentially driving in my batmobile: it feels like a cave of coolness when I get in, and I no longer get heatsick driving around (nor sunburn on my left side). David did an amazing job today on my tint for me. I was able to get ceramic tinting at 20% for the front and 10% for the back windows. David explained the current stock tints I had on already which indicated why it was going to be so much darker. I love how my car looks and he even hooked it up with the front visor! We called him at around 12:30 for pricing, he had the best pricing in east county with amazing reviews so by 12:50 my car was dropped off and in the shop getting tinted! It took 2 hours in total and came out amazing. Way sooner than any other body shop and the quality of the work truly shows. No bubbles and by the next day, any residue from the soap was completely gone. Unlike some experiences I've had where the bubbles linger for day. He also helped us decide what tint best suited our car. We didn't want something we couldn't see out of but we still wanted an aggressive look. He recommended Ceramic tint with 15% all around and 50% on the windshield (which I wanted). From the moment I reached out to them through Yelp till the moment I drove off with my newly tinted vehicle, I had a great experience with San Diego Auto Tint. Ayed was quick to reply to me once I sent him a message on Yelp. His price was very competitive and I had tint with the same brand and model he uses (Suntek CIR) previously on my M4, and it was great, so I was happy to use it again. I asked him a couple of questions and I also made sure he would get the tint to the edge of the window as that is my personal pet peeve after one shop left a large gap between the edge of the window and the tint. He assured me he would get it very close. We set up an appointment, and I met him on the following Saturday. He was very personable and friendly in person. He suggested we walk over to my car to figure out exactly what shades I wanted, and we even looked over my current car's tint to see what would work out best. I was torn initially between 20 and 30 percent for the side and back, but ended up going with 20 all around after review. Stuck with my original planned 70 percent for the windshield. Tip: If heat reduction is your goal, make sure to use a high quality ceramic tint, and make sure to do all windows including the windshield. You want to look at TSER (Total solar energy rejection) stats for the tint you choose to make sure that heat is going to be lowered sufficiently. Non ceramic tint is mainly for looks and UV blocking, but most automotive glass already blocks UV from the factory. Anyway, he messaged me several hours later to let me know it was done. I came back and we looked over the car, it looked fantastic! I was very pleased with the job. Over a week later and the job is flawless. He gave me the Suntek lifetime warranty card which allows me to get any issues with the material fixed if ever needed.
