Noe and Maria arrived on time and did a beautiful job on the shower regrout and Noe even accommodated some last minute requests to add caulking in the kitchen and quarter round. Unfortunately, we had different ideas about what grout 'touch-ups' meant for the floors - I wanted a few spots regrouted to match the rest of the flooring's grout color - but it really lacked a professional touch and didn't look good at all. I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars if the team wants to come back for a full regrout on the floors, but I'm not planning to pay any more than I already have. I'll attach some pictures of the beautiful shower and subpar floor grout job.

He did a seal and when the rain came and went the leak did not happen! Now we know where to address when we have more time and sunshine. Also had him check out my front steps that seem to need to be re-grouted - he pointed out white water marks coming out from the tiles is a sign of water getting in behind so he went tile by tile to figure out how many are loose. I look forward to his bid for service for spring project as he does great work so I feel like I will get a good deal and a great job well done.

Our shower needed the floor replaced and rows of tile replaced due to a pipe repair. I found James Custom tile on Yelp and saw a mention in a group on Facebook. I spoke with him and sent pictures. He sent me a bid and we set up a time to get going. He is very professional in all facets. As great as that is, his work is even better. He was very familiar with the Schluter that was used to install. He got the waterproofing done the first day, had the leak test overnight and tiled the next day. Today he did the grout and it is amazing! I was jealous of all the tools he has! We also appreciate that he was very neat and cleaned everything up. His price was very fair. They came out and did amazing job that time on short notice. We have used them twice since. This time he charged as much as first big cleaning and didn't even clean every room. Stains came back not more than a couple days later and one stain that was visible was a new stain I just made after dropping some sauce on carpet so can't be blamed on set in stain. I will not be using this service again, very unhappy with results after spending $550! I now have to get them cleaned again and find a different service.

They were quick, provided a reasonable quote compared to others I got in the area, and the work was good. I specifically waited a while to see if the grout or caulk would crack, and it's holding up well. I would give a five star review if not for a couple small things. Firstly, I was not informed up front when giving the quote that they only caulk areas where there is no paint. i.e. they can do the tub to floor, they can do sink to vanity, but they won't do vanity to drywall. I found out later that this is fairly common practice, so not a huge deal, but I did wish someone mentioned it back when I was getting the quote and not when the guy arrived on my door to do the job. So take note if you don't know much about caulking like me. Secondly - and this is the main reason I took off a star! I had a lot of items in my shower that I didn't have time to clear prior to the tech's arrival, and when I rushed to clear them, he kindly informed me that he could do so and I didn't have to. OK, great! Honestly the tech was nothing but kind to me but... I had a bin of clean laundry sitting near to the master bathroom door waiting to be folded. I returned a while later to discover that he had moved many shower items, most of which have a bit of soap stain or hair or other sticky shower nastiness on them... INTO my clean laundry bin and directly on the carpet! Needless to say I redid my laundry, moved the shower items onto a towel, and scrubbed the carpet after he left. I truly believe the tech had the best intentions, but I would advise removing your shower and tabletop things yourself if you hire The Grout Guys! Otherwise, the actual work itself was perfect :)

We had someone come out with carpet samples and to measure for a quote…read more -The quote provided indicated that the square footage was much higher than the other two companies we ended up getting quotes from and since the charge is per square foot it added a ton to the total. -I noticed that the quote included the cost to take out carpet in all rooms but there were two rooms that had no carpet to be taken out. -We asked for help picking a carpet to install and it turns out the one recommended does not meet any of our needs and would have been a big problem. -Then he said the carpet would be ordered and could be installed the next week since we were in a rush. 5 days later he hadn't ordered the carpet and we started shopping other companies. -The quote said that if we are talking to any companies let them know since they would beat or match reasonable competitive quotes but once I mentioned we were shopping around the guy stopped responding and I'm glad he did so we didn't get stuck overpaying for a carpet that isn't right for us

AVOID this company if you expect professionalism or basic respect…read more Chris gave me one of the most disrespectful service experiences I've ever had. The moment I explained that I smelled dog urine in the carpet, he immediately dismissed me, repeatedly telling me he'd "been doing this for 30 years" instead of actually listening to what I was saying. The most disturbing part of the visit was that he eventually stopped speaking to me entirely and directed his attention only to the man who was with me. He even walked away from me in the middle of our conversation. I left feeling belittled, ignored and treated as though my opinion didn't matter. Based on the way he interacted with me, I found his behavior toward me as a woman deeply disrespectful. He also wore his outside shoes throughout my home, insisted the issue was candle residue despite there being no candle wax, and then left before completing the job. The carpet issue was never resolved. If your first instinct when a customer raises a concern is to dismiss them, talk over them, ignore them and walk away without finishing the work, you have no business providing customer service. This was an appalling experience and I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere.
