With El Nino supposedly coming this winter, we needed to have our gutters looked at. We called Nor Cal Maintenance to come out and take a look at thew. We made an appt for the very next week (9/4/15), David and his assistant showed up to our home on time and ready to go. We have a set of gutters along the side of the house that is on a zero-lot line. They couldn't go onto our neighbor's property to clean them out but they were able to accommodate us by cleaning those gutters by scooping the debris out by hand! Those particular gutter were pretty full so we understand how much work that was for them! They recommended crowns be installed in the downspouts which will really help keep leaves and sticky balls, of the tree next door, out of our gutters. They also recommended a few things they could do for a problem "waterfall" gutter we have near the front door which we truly appreciated as well. They were prompt, friendly, great communication & took less than an hour (we have a 1250 sq ft house, single story with gutters on all 4 sides) Very reasonable pricing & they also cleaned up from the mess the gutter cleaning left behind. We plan on having our gutters maintained annually from now on and will definitely be calling Nor Cal Maintenance again next fall! read more

Hired Nor-Cal Maintenance for gutter cleaning and roof moss removal in May 2026 for $2,437. A few things worth being aware of before hiring: The initial invoice charged for two seam repairs the technician on site confirmed weren't performed. It took several written exchanges to get the billing corrected. Their marketing text mentioned "before, progress, and after photos for complete transparency." I received 8 partial photos and was told in writing those were the complete set. The moss removal was a $1,479 line item on a roof I couldn't inspect from the ground. If you hire them, get a signed contract with clear scope, verify the invoice matches actual work performed, and confirm what documentation you'll receive during the work. I'd take the time to get multiple estimates and research other options before committing. read more

I was referred by Superior Seamless Gutters to use Norcal for an estimate for my gutter replacement and some issues with my roof (moss). NorCal Dave made appt with me and had to cancel because he will ill on our first scheduled appointment; which is understandable. We rescheduled and then the evening before appointment he asked to cancel because he needed a haircut and his appointment was at 9AM and wanted to come later. I could not believe NorCal Dave would evening ask to change appointment for his haircut...WOW! Obviously, NorCal Dave did not want the job. Maybe when he looked that it was in Roseland he felt was not worth it or does not like the Roseland area. Just a story I told myself in my true disappointment with the unprofessional way this situation was treated. I see many 5 Stars for NorCal and sad to say not my experience and that just was only trying to make an appointment. read more

Unfortunately, due to our budget, we weren't able to hire them, but I wanted to leave a positive review. The owner, Dave, showed up at the promised time for the estimate and also let us know in advance when to expect him. He was very professional and friendly. The estimate was detailed, and he offered a few options to lower the cost. Based on his approach, I can imagine his team is also fantastic. If you're considering exterior cleaning, I highly recommend making an appointment with Dave. read more

Had a relatives house in dire need of gutters clear-out and repair. Coordinated with them over text and email to make it happen. The price was reasonable for the extent of the work. Quoted and approved, they came out and knocked everything out. Gutters look great now and they did a wonderful job. read more

Nor-Cal Maintenance provided the kind of customer service that other service companies should aim for. They did an excellent job fixing a gutter leak for me when some other companies weren't interested in "a small job", would only consider replacing my entire gutter, or didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my inquiries. Dave was very prompt in answering questions and the two=person team who did the work (Jesus and partner) were professional and very efficient, but also friendly and happy to explain what they were doing. And they even adjusted the final invoice because the job was not as complex as originally anticipated. I won't hesitate to use Nor-Cal Maintenance for my next job and will definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors. read more

Nor-Cal Maintenance changed my gutter covers and cleaned the roof for me after birds had pecked and damaged the old ones. The workers were quick, efficient, competent, and polite. They even checked my mailbox at my request. Dave, the owner, inspires confidence. read more

Dave checked out our downspouts and gutters and explained what work was needed. He also provided an estimate on cleaning our solar panels. He demonstrated integrity and did not try to sell us more than what we needed. Within a few days, Dave was able to schedule the work and sent us photos of the areas that were plugged and the clean gutters. I would highly recommend their service. read more

Update to the window and dry rot repairs that were previously done, Dave gave us a fair estimate to prime and top coat the wood trim that they repaired, two workers came out to perform the work on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately it was just as the Healdsberg fires were flaring up, the work was going along well when one of the painters got a call from his family that they had gotten the word to evacuate there home. Neither of these gentlemen would leave the job before it was completed, they both stayed until everything was done and done very well. In my book that's going above and beyond. A BIG thank you to Dave's crew. Marty C. read more

"This was our first time not being able to clean the gutters ourselves. Dave and his son were great to work with on the estimate and scheduling. The work crew were on time, professional, polite, provided quality work, and considerate of our property. They all took the time to get to know our very excited dog and were great with her. We're very impressed and highly satisfied with the results of the cleaning, securing of the gutters and installation for the new gutter guards we will be hiring them again and highly recommend Nor-Cal Maintenance for gutter needs" read more

This guy came to our house. The agreed on rate was $300 to remove the moss from our roof & gutters. Ok, it's high but fine, the guy is American, fine we try to hire American workers. The work was for removal of moss on our roof. The guy finishes, tries to hard sell us this gutter thing for the gutters. Nope. VERY HARD SELL OF THIS GUTTER THING. Don't want it. So he does the "work". He wants the check. Fine. Husband comes in and says, he wants another $225 for the mossicide. What? We told him we wanted that on the phone & before he started the work! This was NOT the agreement. Fine. We pay it, we're pissed. I'm writing this review, and I'm keeping a copy of this review since I'll be posting it elsewhere on the internet in case Yelp removes it. BTW, this guy advertises on CRAIGSLIST in the Bay Area. BUYER BEWARE, BUYER BEWARE!!! Upshot is we paid $525 for this guy to clean our gutters on the roof & add mossicide that is it. FURTHERMORE, he did not clean one side of the roof gutter, it still had MOSS IN IT! My husband had to do it himself. I am SAVING THIS REVIEW for future references. EDIT: No David, you never contacted us after we paid you. I'm sorry that my review upsets you but it is the truth. You are a nice charming friendly person, but charging us something other than what was agreed upon, plus the hard sell, plus the moss is still on the house is not conducive to good business practices. I do wish you luck in your business and that this review helps you improve. Verbal agreements mean something. read more

Nor-Cal did a fine job. I set up an appointment a couple months back to have my gutters cleaned. They showed up a bit early, but that wouldn't have mattered much since they said I didn't need to be home for it. They cleaned out all the gutters fairly quickly and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Haven't had overflowing gutters since. read more

What a top notch company ! Great customer service and quality work ! Will definitely be using NorCal Maintenance for future projects . My patio looks great ! The young man who did the work was very polite and did an awesome job :) read more

I found David thoroughly professional. He's a good communicator and was on time and worked very efficiently. He was able to explain in fine detail everything I'd ever want to know about rain gutters, gutter covers, what's likely to happen to a rusted gutter under certain conditions, etc. He was upfront about his estimate and he and his small crew (one very agile young man) were about as professional as I could've hoped for. We had a second story with steep rooftops, which scared me: what if someone slips and falls? But no one did. And Dave's bonded and has his contractor's license. He knows his stuff. Contrary to the bad review I see here, there was absolutely no "hard-sell" on anything else, although he did explain there are rain gutter covers that are better than the ones we have, and he could install them if we wanted him to. But I said we can't afford that and he never pressed at all. All in all, we had a good experience with Dave of Nor-Cal Maintenance and would recommend him. read more

Dave's crew of one did a wonderful job on cleaning gutters. My job was scheduled for a day during the October fire evacuation so I had to cancel. As soon as our zone was open to return, Dave contacted me to reschedule the job. Because of the chaotic fire situation only one worker showed up, but he did a great job. He did the work at both my daughter's house and my house. I am so happy and will have them come back next year or sooner if I need more work. Thanks to Dave and crew. And the price was right. read more

Finally found reliable, on-time and affordable folks to help with home maintenance. A pleasure working with Dave and his crew.

Recently had maintenance and a gutter-guards installation. I have to say that all went very well -- the two workers were timely, extremely nice, quick, and clean with the work. They even helped out with a task involving a tall ladder that I couldn't do myself. Overall a great experience. At first I thought the cost was a bit on the high-side, but you get what you pay for with courteous service and good products. And believe me, these qualities can be rare these days! read more

I called Dave at Nor-Cal. He picked up the call right away and scheduled an appointment first thing the next Monday at 9:00. He showed up right on time and reviewed the work with me - a difficult two story Victorian house and separate apartment over the garage. We agreed on the reasonable price. His guys showed up right away and did a thorough gutter and downspout cleaning with a decent clean up after. He showed me some places that needed repair and suggested we could talk about it later. He suggested gutter guards and showed me some samples, but did not put on a "hard sell" when I said I was not interested. I was happy with his service and look forward to having back in the future. read more

We used NorCal Maintenance last year for our gutters and again this year. They did a super job again. They not only cleaned the gutters and downspouts, but they cleaned all the leaves off the roof so they wouldn't go back into or on top of the gutters.
