Nordstrom Outlet in Auburn Collection is convenient with entrances from both the parking lot and the mall. The store is spacious, but for its size, I was surprised there's no restroom (or at least none that I could find) in the store itself aside from what's available in the mall. The selection of clothes is solid, and there's even a small area with kids' toys, which is great when shopping with little ones. While the cashiers are quick and efficient, there's rarely anyone on the floor to help with questions. Maybe that's intentional, but it does stand out. The cashiers have always been wonderful at this location. They greet you with a warm smile and always ensure you put your rewards in (which I always forget). Staff around the store are eager to help customers. I am frequently asked if I need support finding items. Which some days I don't like because I want to be left alone. But, I understand that one of the key parts of their job is to ensure the customer has a smooth visit. So I appreciate the diligence. I will say as a plus sized woman their selection is very limited. And a lot of the brands they carry run small. I don't like a lot of the style they put out and find it hard to find good pieces because most of the clothing provided has intense patterns, big bright colors, etc. Which sometimes I am looking for, while most of the time most items in my wardrobe are neutral colors that are good to pair with one thing that stands out. So I don't like shopping here for just standard clothing for your closet but more one time outfits for events, holidays, or special occasion. Or that one fashion piece. Most of the store is pretty organized and the isles are pretty decently spaced. I've been to other racks where it is awful, so I do appreciate how much they take care of this location. Now pricing is in the middle. I wouldn't say you always get the best bang for your buck but these are supposed to be priced down high fashion items, but it doesn't always feel that way. Some brands just feel cheap but you pay $20 for a top that isn't the best and won't last you a lifetime. Nordstrom always gave me "lasts a lifetime" quality but I don't think the racks give off that quality. Maybe that's the point? This is an all rack thing though! I will say I only have one real negative thing to say, I feel like Nordstrom Rack doesn't really have a dress code. You don't need a company uniform to look good, and i definitely think that having short skirts that show your bottom (yes I saw a workers bottom when she turned around after bringing me an item) and wearing animal tails makes the rack seem more unprofessional. Those clothing items are definitely fine when you're out and about doing your own thing and when at a retail store that is supposed to be a reputable brand, it gives tacky. And don't get me wrong, I love myself a good mini skirt and I think it's so cute when people wear fun diverse items to express themselves in different ways (in this case animal tails). Let me say that this store looks pretty cramped with tons of stuff everywhere! All of the aisles are piled with clothes, shoes, accessories and other junk. Wish the organization of the store was much better. Looks pretty cluttered and messy. Prices are alright, reasonable for the most part and enough staff are available. Selection of inventory could be better, though. A lot of older brands, clothing styles, retro fashion seem back as the trend nowadays. read more

This location has recently changed their floor plan and it has made navigating through the store a whole lot easier. The selections are a little limited compared to the other locations such as Southcenter, Factoria or Bellevue but there are always treasures to be found. I also ordered my stuffs from Nordstrom and pick up from here. The line at the register could be long from time to time but everyone who works there are friendly and courteous. Icon member went in for an exchange and purchase and probably won't come back. Customer service is the reason for the 1 star review. Cashier Leilani S. was the worse! No hello, she was too busy conversing with her colleagues who were standing around talking about a previous night out. ( I shouldn't know this) I said thank you, she did not say you're welcome, have a good day or anything. Very rude with attitude, fixing her necklace instead of checking me out, so I may go about my day. Staff needs training or just to go! Contrary to earlier reviews, I found things well-organized in this store. Clothes were grouped by size as well as color. Department areas were well-marked. There were some good markdowns but some areas like hats were mostly full price. read more

I've been to this Nordstrom Rack a few times now and every single time I go, it's always a mess. Clothes are on the wrong size racks, makeup are out of their boxes and used/touched and makeup items are constantly bare, and shoes and other items are scattered about. I understand it's the Rack where items are on sale or there are deals, but that does not mean there are standard in terms of being tidy and having things organized. read more

I was there shopping and everything was going well, and suddenly the alarm rang in the mall! It says there's a fire! This is the first time that I ran into a fire alarm in such a giant mall! Not nearly as good it's counterparts downtown Seattle or in Bellevue, but it's still a Nordstrom Rack, and that beats Ross ten times out of ten. I wasn't able to locate any real steals when I was here. Point of clarification: It needs to be a high end ITALIAN designer label for more then 50% off to be a real steal in my book. I understand that only happens once in a blue moon, or the item is so hideous Versace would roll over in his grave if he ever saw it on another human being. If stuff don't sell in regular Nordstroms they end up here and it shows. They mostly stock regular and at most slim straight styles so I had a really hard time finding skinny fit jeans. Of course they might be catering to the local demographic as well. I did spend a whole lot of time in the shoe isles trying different runners and all, but when it's only 20 - 30% off retail the incentive's not quite there. read more

Good selection, great prices! Employees are always very helpful. Yule was a superstar last night assisting me with a return. Just like all Racks, you'll need plenty of time to look through the merch. The check-out lines tend to be long, but luckily they move pretry quickly. Employees also take notice and will pull customers out of line to other depts to expedite check-out. It's a Rack. That means it looks a little sloppy half the time, and the shoe floor is a mess compared to a regular Nordstrom store. BUT if you're willing to hunt, and have the time to spend, you can find some great deals. My go-to place for jeans as I like the expensive brands (7 for all Mankind, True Religion, Joe's). Just don't bring a significant other who doesn't like shopping on a day when you want to look for shoes. There are so many racks to go through. Patience will wear thin. On their part. :) read more

This place is like a thrift store but with worse customer service. Their stuff is very overpriced for what it is, I never find anything I like. I got a $50 GC last year that I decided to try to use up today as I was in need of a new purse. I found a bag I liked for a reasonable price and was pleased, but my attitude changed when it came time to check out. The line was SUPER long. I looked around and found 4 "express checkout" counters with nobody working at them. I looked around and walked around the entire store looking for an associate in their uniform to ring me and my 1 item up. After several minutes I saw a girl scanning items for inventory. I asked her to help and she said someone would be right up. I said okay and waited at the counter. 8 minutes go by and still nobody. 3 other customers get in line behind me and begin commenting on the bad service. Finally after about 10 minutes someone comes up and I get to check out. Most difficult time consuming thing ever. Not really my thing. read more

I have never liked Nordstrom rack. The styles of clothing seem so unstylish and and geared for an older generation. Also, they seem to never have anything in my size. Perhaps not much XS's end up here for demographic reasons, or most everything in my size is bought up. Not sure. I don't really care. The prices are still very high. Even if the merchandise is name brand, it's name brand reject, so I'd think the point is to clearance the crap out. They play horrendous music, too. I have never been assisted by an employee at Nordstrom rack. Not once. However, the gal that rang me up in the shoe department was kind. Oh how the glory days of the "super" mall have fallen. Does anyone remember the store "Incredable Universe!" I miss that place, it was a bit Fry's and a bit Best Buy all rolled up into one place. Pre-Fry's and Best Buy.... Anywho.... This Rack is a bit lacking, the clothes are shrewn hither and yawn, small children run the isles somewhat reminds me of a daycare, minus the riding toys. When's snacktime served, I wonder.... Deals can be found, usually in someone else's arms, I had to follow this dude around until he freaked out and dropped that size 9.5 EE Keen boot he was carrying, that I was drooling at.... I left before the cops arrived.... Bargins galore, kids a plenty, sheesh, had I wanted to hear that much screaming going on, I would have stayed at home! They are not all created equally: Nordstrom Rack in Southcenter is by far the better way to go. First off, the layout is awkward, it was really odd that they only have one set of registers, only by the mall entrance doors, there are no registers by the parking lot doors, not only was it odd, but it also screams, "SHOPLIFTERS PARADISE", I just really didn't think that the layout was very well thought out, and odd. I was shopping for about an hour, until one person said something to me. Finally, as I'm about to leave, one employee asked the lady next to me if she needed help finding anything, she then turned and said hi to me, and I thought that she would ask me if I needed help finding anything, and she didn't, she just turned and walked away, before I could ask for help. I'd been in that area for almost and hour shopping with no one in the area, this lady comes to the isle, and within 5 minutes someone's asking her if she needs help, just another thing that I thought to be odd. On one hand the lady that rang my purchase up was very nice and friendly, but she kept going on about their cards programs after I said that I'd think about it, I didn't like that she kept telling me about the program, because I already said I'd think about it, and there was a long line, there is no need to take 5 minutes to ring 1 item up, even more oddness. I wasn't very impressed with their merchandise either, although the product was plenty, the selection seemed to target only a few styles, not a large variety as for styles. I think that Grandma's, teens, and strippers might like this place. And don't get me started on the pricing, it didn't really feel worth it, it didn't feel like a deal at all. Went day after Thanksgiving for the sales. I expected crowds and there wasn't any. Thought this was odd..... I specifically went to find Calvin Klein tops in my size. Found none. :( I then went to the make up area. Didn't bother to look for anything since it was a mess. After that, walked over to clothing racks and they were a mess too. Clothes on the floor and in wrong areas, etc. I gave up. I've been in thrift stores better organized than this store. This used to be a really nice store and not sure why it's now like this. I returned a pair of shoes that were given to me as a Christmas gift. They were purchased on the Nordstrom Rack's website. The lady at the return desk put the money back on the purchasers card instead of giving me a gift card to use in their store. I let her know that I just going to go buy another pair. She called someone who she said was her manager and asked what she should do to fix this. When she hung up with that person she told me that they can't do anything about it and then....get this....suggested I call that person and ask them to use Venmo or PayPal to pay me. LoL. Really? I called their coporate office and asked if that was their procedures. She said no. The returns lady was wrong. I then called the store itself and the manager I spoke to also said the return lady was wrong. read more

So I'll preface this by saying, I'm probably used to the excellent service I get at a regular Nordstrom so my standards are probably way too high for this place. But let me say this, every time I set foot in one of these outlet type places, I'm reminded why I hate them...there are pushy people and rude workers. The bad: the woman in the fitting room. I won't get into details, she was just not helpful, unfriendly and even bossy. The good: if you have time, you can find some awesome deals here. Tips: Go earlier in the morning before it gets too busy. SOmetimes being there in the morning can be a pain because it seems like they are busy re-stocking shelves but it'll save you time in the long run. read more

Awful customer service waited on line for about 15 to 20 min before 6 pm ,only 2 cashiers open taking for ever long line not moving . At 6 we were the nex ones to pay when I saw them closing the mall entrance that's when finally manager brings 2 more cashiers and her self to open more registers but not until entrance is lock . I ask if we were able to exit through the door she said no even we were on line for so long it was so frustrating after standing so long in line we still had to walk out side and go around to go back to the mall . Manager needs more training it's a big store she should have more cashiers open 15 min before closing mall entrance not after . read more

Very well organized at this location, everything seems to be where it's supposed to be. Got some great Sam Edelman booties for $70 that were regular price $160! There were lots of boots and booties on sale I guess I came at the right time. The only downside to this particular location I would say is that there was a super super long line up - longer than other higher traffic locations (ie. downtown Seattle). They only had two cashiers working and finally someone pulled me aside to ring me up on the mobile till. This store had good sale racks that seemed less picked through than other stores but that's probably due to the slower traffic for this location. In terms of designer brand selection I would say there weren't as many as more central locations. I would probably visit this store again if I'm in the area and coming to check out the rest of the mall anyways. I'm always struggling with my Nordstrom Rack addiction..... read more

The shoe department is obviously set up and run by the lobotomized. Dozens of racks of thousands of unorganized shoes means huge lines at the shoe window. None of this is hard to get. Nordstrom was in the Supermall complex, easy to find on the car navigation. Parking was good Friday just after opening time. I found a really good deal on a pair of black Italian dress slacks at 90% off. It took a bit for the floor reps to open a fitting room, it was an average wait time, so I looked at the ties. I was impressed at the free and fast alteration service offered. The mobile phone credit card reader was a welcome alternative to waiting in a line at the register- just swipe on the spot from anywhere in the store. Nice deals and good customer service. The trousers on sale with new tie designs will definitely bring me back. read more

Sonya was great. I have a court appearance on Monday and a grand opening in a week and I needed to get clothes for both. She literally walked me through the entire process until I had the best looking most comfortable outfit I could have ever had. Then Q the tailor put just the right finishing alterations on my suit pants and jacket. I will absolutely be going back to see my good friends Sonya and Q in the very near future. read more

This place is a shadow of who they used to be. This used to be the place to go for closeout and limited quantity deals, now this is a place that is trying to be the "Costco" of retail apparel.
