So, I said in reasonable defense "I have not ever done this, this is only the first time I returned anything at big 5. Anyway, he said well, someone who looks like you keeps doing this. (By the way, I'm a black woman). So he reluctantly does the return and warned him not to judge anyone this way, but he just kept arguing with me. I visited Kid to Kid twice in one week and had an overall good experience. The first time I just stopped in to kill some time and picked up a couple of items for my kids. Most of the stuff they sell here is really great quality and is reasonably priced. For my youngest I got two pairs of pants and a long sleeve shirt, and for my middle I got a pair of jeans and brand new Halloween bow by the checkstand (they gottt me), all for $25. Definitely affordable! I stopped in later in the week to drop off a huge tote of clothes that I've been discarding as my youngest has grown out of them. The selling process is fairly easy - you drop off, they process the clothes, and then give you a call to let you know how much store credit or cash they'd like to offer. I decided to take the store credit offer because it was definitely decent and because I know I'll be back to shop again! It's also nice that whatever they decide they don't want/isn't in season, they'll donate to local non-profits so I don't have to handle picking it up and dropping it back off somewhere else. The store is organized nicely and they have a ton to look through for all ages. My only gripe is that each time I've gone in, the staff hasn't been the friendliest. Retail definitely can be hard work though, so it's possible they were just having overwhelming days. Looking forward to returning and shopping again!

So, last week my husband took some clothing items to VV along with a Rae Dunn item for Thanksgiving…read moreand a custom framed watercolor print. The print was cushioned by clothing items and he told the person who received the items that there were some fragile items. The worker said he would be careful, but couldn't guarantee how tge items would be handled by others. Sure enough, I saw the watercolor I donated up for sale. The frame and glass were broken by other workers. It is now in a cheap, paint peeled off, wooden frame. I know you all get alot of donations on a daily basis. Might I suggest you treat all items like they were your own? It's a shame that some don't seem to have respect for donated items. I wonder how many other items have ended up being destroyed? I would recommend only because they do have some good items and that's it.
