I needed a tool to remove bottom bracket. My usual go to bike shop was out of stock on this item. Called Norco cycle. He had a used tool, wanted to charge me $10 more than the tool costs new ($25)because he knew I needed it now. I informed him of this. I don't do business with people like this. Drove to Jenson distribution center and purchased the new tool at retail price. read more

Took my Grandmother's scooter which had a bicycle wheel to this shop to get the tire fixed and they flat out refused because it was a tubeless tire and didn't have equipment to the tubeless. Hello, What special tool so you have to use for the tubeless tired?? read more

I took my bike to Tony shortly after he opened shop a while back, and he did a good job tuning-up the bike and making some small adjustments. The price was fair and I was satisfied. Now that he has been in business for a while, I think he may have adjusted his outlook. I took my son's bike to him for the same service. He began at $55 for the tune-up. That seemed fair. Before I left the shop he told me that the bike needed a new chain, $15 (I don't know how he came to the conclusion that it needed a new chain just by visually looking at it, because you have to measure them to make that determination). I didn't feel like arguing, so I agreed. Should be $70 out-the-door, more than I wanted to pay, but still not worth disputing. Hold on, $10 labor on the $55 tune-up and $7 labor on the chain installation...with tax $88.16. My son is a poor, recent college grad, so he cant afford to have his bike worked on...what the heck, I agreed to the $88.16 and left the bike to be tuned-up and worked on. Tony called me a bit later, the brake cable is rusted, an additional $29. I told him no (having rust on a cable, and being rusted are two different things, so a wash of WD40 will cure the rust). Still later, Tony called again. The sprocket is worn, $35 plus labor to replace. By now I could see what was taking place. He was trying to nickel-and-dime me to death and squeeze as much out of me as he could. When I originally spoke with him, I told him that I had got the bike for free and was giving it to my son, but wanted to put about $50 into it to make sure that my son wouldn't have any troubles down the way. (Tony estimated that it was a $600 bike and mentioned that it was in well above average condition). I assume Tony's business is slow, maybe faltering, and he is trying to maximize his profits off of each customer. He does good work, but be careful of his business practices when it comes to the up-sale. read more

I visited Norco Cycle to price a commuter bicycle. I was impressed by the variety of bicycles they offered that were right in line with what I was looking for. I was also impressed by the low prices and sales they were offering. This store offered bikes with 16-23 speeds in price ranges under $1,100 dollars. Norco Cycle also offered accessorized bicycles that fit different situations, such as beach tires, water bottles, repair kits, etc. I found Tony to be a former professional cyclist, and still an enthusiast who is very knowledgeable about cycling, and what consumers and hobbyists want. Tony discussed cycling with me, and when I told him I was interested in commuting 10-15 miles a day he recommended a bicycle in my price range. Best of all, his shop offers a lat-a-way plan without interest. In addition, the bike shop is filled with bicycling accessories, including shows, jerseys, pants, water bottles, cycling computers, etc. all in different price ranges depending upon your skill level, or needs. I now plan to buy bicycles for the family at this shop, since we are all excited about going on weekend cycling trips together. read more

I was looking for a bike just so I could take my dog on longer walks. I was looking for a pawn shop and this shop caught my eye as I drove by it. The pawn shop didn't have bikes so I decided to turn around and stop by this shop. The gentleman inside, I'm assuming the owner, showed me a few bikes and told me he'd sell me the bike I was looking at for $280 out the door, tax included, which saved me $40 off the sticker price. I also bought a kickstand and lights which brought me up to $320. So the discount he gave me covered the cost of things I needed to get! He installed everything and showed me the how to's of the bike. Told me if anything feels wrong with the bike or if I ever need a tune-up the 1st visit is free! Long story but worth the read. Today I was heading out to donate two bicycles to a friend of mine who lost her house to a fire from a small plane crashing into it two weeks ago. As I'm taking the bikes to put it in my truck I realize at 5:45 PM today that one of the tires had a whole completely through it. My heart sank because I didn't want to give my friends little boys bicycles that we're not rideable so I'm driving down the street wondering where am I going to find a tire this quick. I happened to see Norco cycle sign on my left with the flashing open sign. When I went in TONY the owner was closing in 10 minutes but took the time to take my bicycle and not only sell me a tire but install it for me before he closed. Hats off to TONY the owner. Thank you TONY... The smiles on my friends twin boys faces were priceless and it made my heart skip to know that those little boys could jump right on those bikes because you helped me get them going in such a short notice ! read more
