This has been a long time coming... I started going to this shop because I linked up with @dyno_mike415 on Instagram to get my bike tuned. What I liked about Mike was he advised me that he can tune for performance but he much better prefers to tune for efficiency (as of course we aren't at WOT all the time). I'm running a 2016 FXDLS with a few modifications so I wanted some better performance that wasn't going to leave me super hungry for gas or running too rich or lean. Mike got me squared away and after my first ride, I found some areas (based on my style of riding) where I wanted some corrections. Mike got me in the next week (based on my schedule) and got it all set-up for me. This guy is solid! He takes pride in his work and definitely happy to make corrections because at the end of the day, he wants you, the customer to be happy! It's been a while since I visited a shop in general as of course I've cultivated great relations with my old local shop that I haven't frequented much as of late. Anyhow, as for Norcal this shop brings back my 2011 memories. My first experience with Dudley Perkins was great and welcoming and this is what I get from the folks here. Everyone seems happy to be at work, knowledgeable and quite frankly, they aren't worried about the arbitrary numbers. This team or family rather, cares about the community before the customer acquisition, etc. because they treat everyone like family! This is what it is all about. A community. Motorcycles is a different breed of people and we need more companies like Norcal that understand the community unlike some shops that are all about the bottom line (you know, those are the shops that treat people like machines, dont care for their staff and make comments like "you're on my time here" or "this space belongs to Richard Simmons" (name change for privacy purposes) But I digress! This company truly stands out because they take care of all types of bikes, not just one specific model. As an owner of an Indian Scout Bobber, I found it challenging to find someone who could properly service my bike. Fortunately, NorCal Cycles came through with flying colors. Their team provided me with a wealth of knowledge and recommendations, ensuring my bike was in the best possible condition. Alfie, in particular, was incredibly helpful. I initially went in for a regular maintenance check up, but glad I did so and met these guys because of my bikes lifespan he suggested that I replace my tires, and I'm so glad I did because they discovered a screw lodged in one of them. Thanks to their diligence, my bike is now safer and more reliable. The prices quoted for both service and parts were very fair and competitive. Freddie and the crew at Nor Cal Cycles are fantastic! We have a '24 Trident 600 and a '24 Kawasaki Z125 that NCC's performed Dyno Tuning on a few months back. Right away we noticed increased horse power, particularly on the Z125, but also much better power throughout the entire spectrum of the rev range and across the gearing for both motorcycles. The Z125 went from a top speed of 52-54 mph to being able to hit 60-62 mph now. More importantly, with the Z125, the power through all the gears and across the rev range allows for the bike to perform much better on the hills and twisty roads through the Bay area. For the Trident, the opening up of full power across all the gears and rev range has allowed for the bike's fueling to smooth out, for the quick shifter to be smoother at varied revs, and for bikes ability to move through the gears/rev with real clarity and power - the Dyno really brings out the best properties of that truple engine! Highly recommend, in every way - Nor Cal Cycles did a phenomenal job! read more

Was impressed with their willingness to work around the fact that my tires were coming in at two different times. The service itself was exceptional as well. They took great care in replacing my tire, and taking the time to explain how to properly break in my tires safely. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the level of service I received. I went searching for a bike shortly after moving to the area and couldn't be more pleased with the service i received here. The prices were barely above private party sales and included more maintenance/prep work than most places offer. Freddy was a genuinely nice salesman. He was respectful of what I was interested in and didn't try to sell me up on anything more expensive. After someone bought the original bike I was interested in, he actually pointed me to a cheaper bike that ended up being perfect for what I wanted. Finally doing a short review on this incredible establishment. I've been going here off and on for the past few years and it's my main spot for maintenance and to buy parts. If I listed everything they did right, this review would be a mile long. I was hesitant to sell my bike to a company from out of town since my bike had a loan on it, but trusted all of the other great reviews. They made sure I had all the information I needed to feel comfortable, and took the time to keep updating me even after they had the bike and paperwork. NorCal Cycles has an AMAZING assortment of bikes to choose from... Originally, I had my eyes on this BEAUTIFUL Triumph Bonneville.. but it was too flashy for me. Alfred and his crew get the job done right. I have a 95 Harley FLSTN, with a 96" S&S that had been sitting for a while and needed some attention. They rebuilt the carb and replaced the clutch basket. I had them up grade the headlights to TrueBEAM LEDs. Now is runs great and the headlights are bright as day. They got the work done and in a timely fashion. The pricing was fair. Its been a while since I've yelp'd about this place so figured I'd give a little update. This place is still awsome and they have expanded and now have a separate parts and service dept, and still have the awsome dyno in the backshop for custom tuning. If you walk into the service side, you will notice a bunch of RC cars and accessories too. Yes you guessed it. They sell nitro and electric RC stuff, low inventory but they can get what you want at a good price. read more

Brilliant service from Nino and the team at Nor Cal Cycles. Bike was in great condition and ready to go as soon as I arrived. Good suggestions as to where I might want to visit and clearly led me through paying the tolls. They even opened up on a Sunday just to let me return the bike. Sportster was down with an unknown sputter issue after another shop did intake seals. Other shop said it was fine and just to tune. I tried to auto tune on fp3 and issue would not resolve. After a week, gave up and went to norcal. They figured it out and got it back to me in running condition. Thanks Alfie and Norcal family. read more
