Was not expecting a great Indian meal in a small restaurant in Cooperstown, but it was the best meal we had during our stay. Everything was delicious and the service was terrific. Lots of vegetarian options and mix of lots of curries, tandoori, and other things. Price point was very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Make a reservation-it was packed in the off season.

The ambiance is very special - very romantic if that is your goal. When you enter, it looks quite small, but there is more seating behind the area where you enter. I expected the food to have much more flavor- more spice. It was tasty, but tasty from any ethnic cuisine. For the cost, I expected to be wowed and I was satisfied, but not wowed. I always order mango juice vs lassi when I go to an Indian restaurant - even in other countries, and this was not an option here. The service was pretty good.

Welcomed warmly to this cozy space which got increasingly filled with patrons. Hubby had shrimp saag, I had the Kerala fish curry. Rice came with. Really delicious! Server was helpful and attentive. A nice variety of dishes to choose from.

Yesss authentic delicious Nepalese & Indian Flavors! We got Kerala Fish curry-well seasoned spices herbs, shrimp clay oven grilled -good marinade, scallops nice-sear with umami flavors, and yay my fave rasmalai for dessert well made! So happy this place is here in one of our fave NY towns. Service is wonderful, attentive & friendly. Be back soon!

This was such an oasis while visiting the Hall of Fame. Walking distance from the Hall is some of the best Indian food Ive ever had. Im from NYC and this place would be making waves here easily as one of the best in the city! We had left over Biryani, and the chef was concerned, but it was because we ate and loved so much of the rest of our order. We ate the Biryani as soon as we got to our next hotel in Niagra on this road trip. My wife asked for it be mild and it was PERFECTLY seasoned. Still flavorful but not too hot for her. This was the best meal of our vacation. Id almost make the trip back from nyc just for Norbu. If im ever in the area again, itll be my first stop! Seating outside was perfect and service was very attentive and kind. Highly highly suggested in Cooperstown!

The chicken chili is great!!!

The food was Amazing!! We went to the National Baseball Museum and enjoyed having a delightful dinner here after.

Chicken Shahi Korma, Lamb Curry, Saag Paneer, Basmati, and Naan.

This is hands down the best Indian food I can remember eating. Each dish had a rich, full flavor that tasted like what I expected only more so. The portions are generous, with three dishes being more than two people could finish. The service was great, and very prompt. We dined outside on the street, which was a great experience because the environment is the Main Street USA feel of downtown Cooperstown. Can't recommend this place enough!

Very calming interior with nice decor. The food was excellent but so plentiful you really need to share. For example the tandoori chicken was 4 chicken breasts.

It says prawn is vegan. I know that prawns are similar to shrimp. Shrimp, prawns, crabs, fish are animals. That means that it is NOT vegan. You should NOT say vegan on your menu. Will you change that?

The owner eventually came around after a few minutes and offered me a glass of water while I waited. He was very pleasant. I ordered an entrée, chicken tikka saag (which included basmati rice), naan, aloo paratha, raitha (not included with breads; ordered separately) and gulab jamun. In about 10 minutes my order was ready. I was there slightly after dinner service hours. I did notice that there were a couple of tables that had not been cleaned, but it looked like there was only one server working the dining room. The food was good. I had ordered medium spicy for my entrée, and when I ate at home it was not spicy to me. I'm not sure if they accidentally made it mild or not. It looks like it is a popular spot for locals. They do offer beer and wine, and it does look like they may make some mixed drinks as I noted some bottles of mixer, which may be for the Lassi drinks. All in all, it was a good experience. The food was decent. I would go back again.

The waitress initially seemed friendly and came to take our drinks orders. I mentioned to her we are also ready to order food. She put on a stern face and started wagging her fingers in front of of my face and said " that is not how we do it here, you ordered drink first and I'll come back later to take your food orders. There are 7 people ahead of you and the chef has to cook for them first". I was stunned and shocked to hear such mean response! If I was alone, I'd march out of the restaurant immediately but my family was there so I stayed and tried to keep my cool. Every process took sooooo long from ordering drinks, drinks came, ordering food, food came then another big disappointed moment- the hyped up fish and chips with greasy battered, mushy fish and filled with ammonia scent as in spoiled fish. Overall, it was a very bad experience. On a good note, we can now say- never again The Tulip and Rose.

She was looking for advice from me, but I was very happy when the owner came by and said he could select our food and we trusted him.He asked us a few questions about spice level, proteins, etc. He said he would bring us an appetizer, a chicken entree and a vegetable entree. He also brought us 2 hot chai drinks. We agreed it was the best chai we've ever had....it was mildly sweet and the spices were perfect. We were brought as an appetizer...fried cauliflower with a Manchurian sauce which was sweet, mildly spicy and a touch sour..... perfect. We got 4 beautiful veggie balls..... finely minced veggies with paneer in a very creamy sauce. The taste was a little sweet and when eaten on the super hot and fresh naan it was delicious. Our last dish was chicken kebabs, I believe made in the tandoori oven with spices and served with a beautiful sweet, creamy tomato sauce. We didn't ask for dessert but we're brought a complementary rice pudding to share... heavenly! We were checked on several times and water glasses were kept filled. We are both big water drinkers. I was so impressed with both service and food. If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would do it!!

Flavor of India is tucked into a little corner of East Syracuse and you'd miss it if you weren't looking. Staff was friendly and sat us right in front of the fire place on a chilly 20 Degree night. The food took about 15 to 20 minutes and was hot, fresh and flavorful with requests to us on our spice level which I went spicy and didnt regret it (but my body might have) lol. The Biryani portion for $17 was definetly enough for 2 meals and I felt full from about half of it thought that might have been the capsacin. The garlic chili Nana was very interesting because in one bite it cut the heat from my biryani but then hit me with chili and the spice came back.
