Been here a few times now with friends and we've had a fun night each time! Belt your hearts out for like 2hrs and grab a drink. Heard the room rates now are like $200/12ppl an hour (biggest room) and it used to be discounted if you go during the week during happy hour which was much cheaper. If you split amongst the group it's not too bad though it does seem a little on the higher side imo plus the rooms are pretty damn small. You will be sitting shoulder to shoulder. Even in the biggest room we had people had to stand up. The whole place is cute and you can sing in a non private room if you're being brave! Good song selection and you can get ideas from their set lists like throwbacks. You can also get connected to youtube instead if you rather do that. Because i was disappointed that this place literally uses the korean word for karaoke but there are no/minimal korean songs on their list so if you want to sing in a different language ask to set up youtube. Drinks are about $12 they all sound super interesting. I was there recently for an event and it had edible glitter in it with ube oof it was strong but pretty good. My friends and I all disliked the WAP we don't know if it was the mezcal or what but something/some sort of spice burnnned and not in the good i'm buzzed way lol. Looks like they changed their drink menu which you can just use their QR code. Staff are all friendly. It took a while for them to attend to us sometimes when we pressed the button in the room but i assume they were busy with patrons outside.

    Let's get ready to karaoke!

OMG!!!! This is my new favorite place!!!!!!! A group of friends and I went last night and had SO much fun! Before I get started on the details, I'll note that this review is for a private room karaoke experience. (There is also a main bar/room with a karaoke stage, but it has not opened due to COVID.) First, you can book your experience online. I would imagine this place is going to get super popular, so I would suggest booking a room as soon as your know you want to go! You can see time slots and room sizes all online and choose what is best for you. (Currently, rooms aren't at full capacity, due to COVID.) You will pay during your booking, and it is non-refundable, but I believe I did see you can transfer a booking if needed. They'll send you a confirmation email, and then you just wait until the day comes! There is plenty of street parking nearby. I am not sure if they have any parking of their own, but otherwise, it is pretty accessible on Market Street in NuLu. Upon entering, you'll check in at the front desk and be shown to your room. Each room has a TV and the walls are lined with benches. Your concierge (server) will show you the ropes, including the microphones, the iPad you use to control the karaoke system, the button to order drinks (yes, you never have to leave your room, so you don't have to miss a moment of action), and everything else you can need. I was also super impressed with their COVID and sanitary pre-cautions; they had all kinds of things, like microphone covers! You can order cocktails (the menu is awesome, as were both of the drinks I had), start looking up songs, and let the night get started!!! The iPad app has all sorts of great options, and they truly seemed endless. I even looked up a 90s country music start and got at least 20 songs as results. From oldies to newbies, there are so many options. You can also queue them up and easily change between songs, skip a song (when you realize--oh, that isn't what I thought, or oh, that is harder to sing than I remember), and so on. My friends and I had a field day picking out fun songs, and while we took turns on the microphones, we overall picked jams that everyone could sing along to! I had not done this style of karaoke since college (when there was a place on Preston Highway that offered it), but dang... IT IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!! And NoraeBar just takes it to another level!!!!!!!!! Everything is so cute, the vibe is so much fun, and the employees are super cool. Big shout out to Morgan who took GREAT care of our group!! We never went thirsty and got all of our needs taken care of. Each room even has its own little air conditioning unit, and Morgan adjusted ours as needed. If I could afford it, I would be here every weekend! Sadly, I can't afford that, but if you fill a room and break it down amongst friends, you are absolutely going to get every bit of bang for your buck. I cannot wait to go back!!!! NoraeBar is SUCH a welcome addition to Louisville. Don't miss out on this awesome place!!!

I started coming here when the Lou Bar bingo started and this was one of the many places participating. I have come every week that the bingo was going and this place made the best tasting drinks of any other of the places I have been to. With that being said Norae knows how to make good drinks. I'm not very big on karaoke but I can tell this would be a good place to come and dance and I definitely want to bring some friends here for a girls night out. I do like the stage set up and they do have private rooms. I will definitely be back since they make excellent drinks. I want to come back here with my friends to dance or sing karaoke (in a private room).

HAD THE BESTTIME 10/10 would recommend! The service was amazing and kind! I even lost my mask and they gave me a new one for free! I felt so safe and enjoyed the space provided for customers!! We had so more fun than we expected to!! The business was clean and beautiful!! The interior design choices were amazing! I loved the use of a tablet to order drinks and for selecting songs in our private room. We were a a few minutes late due to transportation but called ahead and let the bar know! They were so kind to us! Our server was very kind with great drink, and beer suggestions. They were attentive and had all around great energy + smile !! We are already planning our next trip back to NoraeBar!! This is a great place to go if you want to have space to let loose and have fun with people you love! I don't know the last time I had such a positive and energizing experience with a business.

Very fun vibe here! Love love love it!! Cheap drinks! Ladies bathroom was clean & had a great mirror for selfies . The crowd was late 20's to 30's with a few older thrown in the mix . Friendly bar staff! Great music selection.

Love this spot!! Great new bar that popped up during COVID. If you're looking for a safe spot to drink in NuLu - outdoors or in - look no further. Love that they have private rooms you can rent to feel even better about socially distancing from others. The cocktail program is AWESOME! The drinks are clever and delicious. They don't serve food but allow you to bring food in. Can't wait to see this place once things are back to 'normal' and can karaoke again! Tip: great spot to watch sports. Awesome projector screen.

How do you have a hell of a time during a bachelorette weekend amidst a global pandemic? NORAEBAR! I knew this would be a blast because I spent two summers in South Korea & we went to Noraebong spots all the time to do karaoke with just our group in private rooms. I always wished that was a thing in the States & now it's a thing in our city! The booking process was smooth, the staff were friendly on site, & our server was awesome & very attentive throughout our time in the room. The cocktail menu was so creative, inspired by both the Pacific Rim that the concept originated in as well as our own bluegrass bourbon. I tried the Suit & Tie which was a take on Thai Iced Tea with bourbon, sweetened condensed milk, tea, simple syrup, Thai basil & house made orange essence. It was a perfect cocktail, but definitely the kind of thing that could easily sneak up on you, so I stuck with the one. I'd like to try the Truth Hurts cocktail next time, which is mango sticky rice flavors in a cocktail. So that means I'll have to book another session soon for a safe, fun night out where you can feel a little bit normal in the middle of everything crazy going on in our world right now. Thank you Noraebar for making my sweet friend's bachelorette weekend dreams possible!

This was SO MUCH FUN! Me and my girls got a private room, which is perfect right now during COVID. Our room attendant, Jared, was awesome & helped us keep the party going!! They offer snacks and drinks, which were seriously the best-crafted drinks I've had in a while! The karaoke selection was extensive and they had great accommodations for COVID, including disposable mic covers, plenty of sanitizer, etc. There's also a cute outdoor area to just have a drink or two! Highly recommend!

NoraeBar gave us a sneak peak at their East Market Street location and what a hot nightspot this will be! NoraeBar has a large front room for public karaoke with a huge bar and stage that will host live bands. The private rooms are fabulous! NoraeBar has small and large rooms to fit most sized groups. In the private rooms you will have bar service at your fingertips just by pressing a button to alert your server. The private spaces are perfect for sharing with close friends if you prefer not to sing in a large group setting. NoraeBar has a beautiful front patio space and is located in the middle of the thriving NuLu neighborhood. Get ready! NoraeBar is going to turn karaoke as we know it up several notches.

Outstanding cocktails, with something for every taste. Bartenders are friendly and helpful (and funny, as noted!). Bottom line, well worth a visit!

I walked in around 5:15pm on a monday night, with plans for a friend to join me around 5:30. The sign at the host station said to wait to be seated. So I waited. And waited. and waited... Folks walked in after me, waited for a bit and then sat themselves at the bar. But I did not want to sit at the bar, we wanted to sit at a table. The server seemed to be willfully ignoring me and avoiding my attempts at eye contact. The bartender was taking care of everyone at the bar as well as making drinks for the rest of the patrons too, he saw me eventually and was looking around for the server or (nonexistent?) host to help me out. The bartender ultimately told me that I could just seat myself wherever I wanted, so I did. There were maybe 3 table seated at this point, it was not that busy. Then it took yet another chunk of time (6 pages read in my book I never leave home without) before I got water and menus. I was frustrated but was looking forward to seeing my friend and was ready to make the most of it. All that said, I like the vibe of the space. The dark, cozy vibes. We came because we wanted cocktails and something to nosh on. And eventually we got that. We shared a flatebread and an Asian-inspired hushpuppy sort of situation. They were pretty tasty and nice to have with our cocktails. The cocktail list is longer than expected and with a lot of intriguing sounding offerings. The two I had were very tasty and delicious! I would maybe come back again and sit at the bar so a solo visit if I had a stretch of time and no rush. My overall memory of the visit is still about the over-long wait/being ignored for such a long time after entering.

I was able to score a visit recently on Derby Week, and that will be one of the highlights of Derby Week this year for me. We arrived shortly before our reservation time after hearing that our table was ready. I was seated at the bar, to be joined by my good friend a few minutes later. The cocktail menu sounded intriguing, and I started with an Oopsie Daisy and she sprung for Fighting Words. As we sipped our drinks, we perused the menu and decided on an array of mezze as our meal that night. Crispy cauliflower arrived first, followed shortly by tuna tartare, then whipped labneh and spring pea hummus. They even provided a gluten free pita option for the gluten sensitive in our party. Out of our choices, the cauliflower and the spring pea hummus were my favorites, although everything was very good. Throughout our meal, the staff was attentive and kept our waters full, cleared plates as appropriate, and made sure we didn't need anything else during our visit. From the second we walked in, it felt warm and welcoming, like being invited into someone's home for dinner. The space is intimate without feeling cramped, and we were lucky enough to grab a cozy window seat. It had that perfect hum of conversation where you feel the energy of the room but can still talk easily. Our waitstaff were incredible, thoughtful and genuinely kind in a way that made the whole night feel relaxed and personal. We started with an olive oil washed martini that was crisp, silky, and honestly just really good. A simple drink done beautifully. Then we decided to go all in and order the Shefa, Chef Noam's guided family style feast. You choose a main and then the kitchen takes you from there. Plates started arriving in waves and the table slowly filled with color and texture. The first taste included chamutzim pickles, fresh herbs and vegetables, matbucha, and labneh with za'atar. We added the tuna tartare, which was bright and fresh and such a nice contrast to the richness of the spreads. Everything invited you to tear into the warm pita and pass plates back and forth. The salatim followed with shawarma spiced chicken and crispy cauliflower, full of flavor but not heavy. It was the kind of food that makes you slow down because you don't want to miss anything. We shared a bottle of Chateau Musar Musar Jeune from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, and it paired so beautifully with the warmth and spice of the meal. The star of the night was the lamb merguez with cucumber yogurt, dill, and pistachios, served alongside jeweled rice with pepitas and cranberry chutney. It was deeply spiced, comforting, and somehow both bold and cozy at the same time. It honestly felt like being wrapped in a hug. You could taste the care behind it. Dessert sealed it. Warm chocolate babka and coconut malabi with seasonal preserves. Sweet but balanced and the perfect way to end the evening. More than anything, what stood out was how personal the whole experience felt. Nothing about it felt trendy or forced. It felt rooted, intentional, and full of heart. You can sense there's a story and a family behind this food. If you're in Louisville, MeeshMeesh is truly special. Perfect for a celebration, a date night, or just a night where you want to sit at a table, share plates, and feel taken care of.
