It is a small neighborhood bar that has quite some years on it and you can tell. I was greeted by the hosts for the shuttle bus and got a complimentary beer for choosing Nachbar as my pick up location. I did get my complimentary beer and left a generous tip. They had Nords Donuts for food for this event. Beer and Donuts? Very odd combination, was hoping for The Post Pizza or something that was real food. It was free so no complaints other than it was an odd combo. Note: they don't serve food at Nachbar. The inside is kinda dated and there is good seating. Bathrooms are set up like Mag Bar and Kerns Korner. IFYKYK. The outside is more spacious than the inside. They do have a nice patio. As for the inside it looks cool and they have plenty of board games and plenty of local beer on taps that you don't see at most bars. I wouldn't come here on a regular basis but, the local beer selection is a hit with me.

When first entering I notice that it's filled with decor and just something to look at, at every corner. The service at the bar is quick & all the way to the back outdoors is where they had their event with the boil and chill people that would chat with anyone. I was apprehensive about going alone, but it was such great exposure therapy especially since everyone was so kind & talkative! When I went up to get my serving I didn't know seasoning it was even an option, but I got it each time!! They scooped a generous amount for me & tossed it in a Vietnamese chili sauce, it was phenomenal. I've never eaten it that way before, but glad to experience it! The servings were huge & they allowed me to get 3 helpings!!! When talking with the locals I was told they do free dinners numerous nights, and would love to visit again! Such a great time!

Free earplugs, strong drinks, and plenty of head banging. Genuinely the mosh pit here is always popping, and of course everyone remembers their mosh etiquette as people will help you up if you fall, and ask if you're okay if you seem hurt. I'm the friend that holds everyone's glasses and watches from the side though so if moshing isn't your thing, still come for the music and punk vibes. (I personally love watching people express themselves through moshing, I think it's such a beautiful raw expression of emotions!) The bar area has a few booths but is pretty small, but the back room where the shows are held is pretty spacious but fills up quickly. There's also a back patio! We mostly love coming here because it is 21 and up and we can be adults here. Other reasons: they have different flavored Margaritas of the week and every Tuesday was $5 Margs and they had a taco food truck here as well. Not sure if they still do that. We also love coming here for the pinball games (they switch out periodically) and the patio in the back we absolutely love. This place certainly faced its challenges during and after the pandemic. They have bounced back tremendously and with that came some changes. My biggest kicker, they haven't had updated Merch for sale for a very long time. Kinda noticed the change about maybe 2 years ago. For the past 2 years there have been no Derby stickers (something they started in 2020). They have done derby shirts for the past 2 years but, no stickers. I also collected their own stickers as well, there haven't been any new ones for a while. This is really my only kicker here. Idk what's changed or if it's not in their budget but, merch does bring in money. I also miss Potato the bar cat. I asked someone a long time ago what happened to Potato and a bartender told me the owners moved. I hope they can bring in new merch at some point and new stickers lol. They also used to post on Facebook what food trucks would be coming each night so, someone has dropped the ball on that. The staff here is very wonderful and my friend and I adore them. We are treated like we belong here and don't feel out of place. Even the patrons make us feel welcome. This is one of the few bars we go to where most everyone is laid back and is not too rowdy for us. Maybe late at night but, for the most part, we love it here. This is definitely a neighborhood bar worth visiting. Laid back, not rowdy and everyone is made to feel welcome. We love it for the most part but, hoping they can improve some things I have mentioned in this review.

When I saw they were hosting a Love Island season premiere party, I knew it was the perfect time to finally check it out. Parking was easy - we found street parking right across the street, and there's also a reasonably price parking lot directly across from the entrance for after hours parking. What surprised me the most was the size of this place. It's HUGE! There are so many outdoor seating areas that it never felt crowded, even during a special event. Inside, there were two rooms with large TVs showing Love Island, plus themed decorations and drink specials that made the watch party that much more special. There were 8 of us and it was not difficult to find a table of us all on a Tuesday night. The bartenders were friendly and efficient. I was told the quesadillas were good too! Great patio spaces, fun events, good food, and excellent service. I can't wait to go back!
