I had the beef noodle soup and it was pretty good. Generally, I cannot tell the difference between freshly made and regular noodles most of the time, but not here. I would describe the noodles tasting (not texture) kind of doughy, but in a good way. The broth was rich and enjoyable too. My only complaint is that they could add more meat, as it was only a few thin slices of beef. So even from just a nutrition perspective I would hesitate getting it again just because it's not nearly enough protein for a full meal in my opinion. Overall I enjoyed it though, I do recommend trying if you are into noodles
Was here for lunch over 2 weeks ago to meet my friend that works in the area. We walked from her office near Paseo to old town and we ended up here. There's a menu outside of the place so you can browse so you can check it out before going in. Since this was a slow day (most offices were closed day before a holiday) we were seated right away. My friend ordered beef with rice and I of course wanted a noodle dish. The server suggested some noodle dishes but I felt too hot to go for soup so I ordered the eggs and tomatoes over knife cut noodles. So eggs were overwhelming TBH and I wished I ordered what the server suggested but I do love the noodles. You can tell they're freshly made. Will definitely return to try the popular dishes. The tables are close to each other so you can see what the next table ordered. The beef bone soup looks really good. Dining area is clean, casual and good space for friends and families. I see a lot of young kids with parents. I If you're into fresh noodles definitely try this place out.
I've been to Noodle St before, but not this location. I usually get dan dan noodles but today I decided to try the Korean beef. They had just opened and I was seated promptly. It was nice and cool inside. The see-through glass in the back allows you to see the cooks make the noodles by hand. So when I got my dish, after the first taste, I was underwhelmed. There was a large rice to meat ratio, but the meat, which I was hoping to be tender, was strangely falling apart in my mouth. My mom overcooks meat alot and it feels like it disintegrates in your mouth as you eat it. And this felt exactly like that. It was very feeble. For the price, I was hoping for a little more quality meat. I was surprised as this restaurant is known for high quality dishes. I think I'm going to stick with the noodle dishes from now on.
Quick service and really good broth. I got the knife cut noodles but next time I would try the thinner ones. The spicy version has a fun kick to it, and is very flavorful.
Popped into Noodle St. in Old Town Pasadena for an early lunch, and was thrilled to discover this small chain offering Asian fusion creations. It's a comfortable spot with padded banquettes or chairs at the tables, which feature chrome frames and (very good-looking) faux marble tops; along with white walls and light-colored wood accents, the owners have created a clean, simple, welcoming environment. The mood is jostled even further into a specific vibe of calmness with the carefully curated music being played: bossa nova covers of pop hits from bygone days (The Bee Gees' "More Than A Woman" and the Bee Gees'-written Streisand hit, "A Woman In Love" being examples), but it all works. The menu offers a varied selection of dishes from several Asian cultures, from Chinese Beef Rolls to Japanese noodles and soups to Korean Beef over rice. It's not a huge menu, but there's definitely enough there for everyone to find something interesting to eat. The food is all cooked in view of the customers by a staff of chefs working in a sparkling clean kitchen enclosed by windows, and the staff is uniformly friendly despite juggling a lunchtime crowd at the tables plus quite a lot of to-go orders. I tried 2 really enjoyable and satisfying dishes. Beef Rolls featured thinly sliced brisket rolled inside crispy fried crepes with scallion, cilantro and a touch of Hoisin sauce. The brisket had a mild but distinctive flavor that spoke of careful preparation, while the slightly astringent pop from the onions and herbs was a nice foil for the inherent fattiness of the fried crepes. The Hoisin sauce was very subtly deployed, lending tasty support without overwhelming everything else. I added some of the house chili oil for a little extra spice and peppery depth, but these well-made rolls were terrific all by themselves. It should also be noted that the portion is very generous, especially for the price ($12.80), and more than enough for 2 people (perhaps 4 people, if each has 1/2). My other dish was the Qinghai Clear Cold Noodle, a terrific-looking, and even better-tasting blend of thick, chewy noodles, fresh chopped garlic, veggies, tofu and chili sauce that's got a bit of heat but more so a pleasing depth of Chinese spices. This appetizer is packed with flavor and just happens to be Vegan (as are a number of menu items), so it can be enjoyed by anyone. All in all, this was a fantastic mid-week lunch that pleased the senses without breaking the bank, and I even brought some home for later. Do give this Noodle St. a try -- and if you're not in Pasadena, check their website, because they have 8 locations, with a 9th opening soon in Sherman Oaks.
As the name of this place would suggest, this restaurant has great noodles! I ordered the savory braised chicken noodle ($15.80) and scallion pancakes ($7.80). The noodles came with plenty of chicken, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and of course, knife-cut, hand-pulled noodles. The dish had quite a kick. They went heavy on the Szechuan peppercorn, and my mouth was tingling during all of dinner! The chicken was tender, and the noodles were fresh and perfectly chewy. But in my opinion, there were just too many onions! I felt like I had to dig through onions to find the noodles. The scallion pancakes were delicious. They came out hot and perfectly crispy. The service was also great. The staff was friendly and kept my glass of water full.
Solid place that I would absolutely go to again and try something new. The place is bright, open, clean, and a decent size inside. Service is fairly quick (have to be to keep up with the amount of people coming in and out) and friendly enough. The food (outside of mine) was very tasty and had a decent selection size. Great flavor and very fresh. Mine (seasonal veggie) was very underwhelming. The taste, compared to everything else, was mid. It needed salt or some other seasonings. I ended up adding chili to it, which helped, but not much, which made me think salt was the missing factor. Not sure how that happened because the other soup, and my friends braised chicken noodles, tasted absolutely perfect. If anything, the other dishes were super bold with their flavors. I love that you can pick different handmade noodles. They were so good. A little chewy and cooked well.
My friends and I decided to try this place out after reading the wonderful reviews & seeing the pictures of their dishes. I was also craving soup so this was the perfect option! We ordered their chicken wings, garlic string beans, spicy beef noodle soup, scallion pancakes, & beef scallion roll. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering, which I appreciated since I was starving. The soup was packed with so much flavor & had a generous amount of knife cut noodles. The beef rolls had a nice light flavor to it & wasn't dry at all. The garlic string beans were PACKED with garlic, which was delicious. The chicken wings were a bit dry but nonetheless still pretty good. My friends really liked their scallion pancakes & devoured them all. Overall, I would definitely come back if I was ever in the area again. It definitely satisfied my cravings for Chinese food.
First time here and we really liked it! Noodles are handmade and the soup broth was outstanding! Actually, the broth is the first thing I taste. Looking forward to coming back and trying the spicy beef noodle soup. The potato string shrimp was a great side dish. Love that you can see the chefs in the back, creating the noodles. Customer Service was excellent. Located in Pasadena on Colorado Boulevard, obviously had to park in a parking structure, this is the only bummer of eating in Pasadena, street parking is extremely limited. We will definitely be back!

On July 23, My family decided to eat here for dinner. As we entered we noticed how super clean it was & so were their restrooms. The restaurant is very organized & attention to details. As we were seated we saw the chef actually cooking in front of us, this place is known for their handmade noodles. Leung was our waiter he asked we had any questions, we did & he answered them beautifully! Great quick service. It was a chilly day so we wanted something soupy. You get options from appetizers, noodle soup, and rice dishes. There's an option to choose what type of noodle you want: round, flat, triangle, or knife cut. No matter the type, the noodles were very fresh, you can even see them making it through the large clear room in the back. I ordered the signature beef noodle with triangle noodles. The soup needed a tad bit more seasoning but it was good, especially the noodles. Temperature was perfect. Great quick place to drop by if you're shopping in Pasadena. I would probably come back and try the other items in the menu.
Is the best noodle I've ever had. Nd I'm a noodle fanatic. Thy serve northern part of China style noodle , specifically lanzhou (兰州拉面）and it comes with ur choice if variety of hand pulled noodles. And knife sliced (刀削） noodles The noodles are well made nd it's extremely tangy with amazing texture The broth is also well seasoned The dinning area is also clean and spacious Service was fast and thy will take the time to explain what each item comes with and the spicy levels of it Over all, 10 outta 10 mandatory to try when in the area
I grew up going to the Noodle Street in Monrovia, and it's always been one of my favorite restaurants. When you order a noodle dish, you can choose your noodle type, and I always go for the knife-cut noodles since I love chewy foods. You can see the chefs in the kitchen stretching and cutting the noodles, so you know you're getting fresh ingredients. The spicy beef noodle soup is solid, but the real star is the stir-fry noodles. Everything about it is perfect, from the toppings to the sauce. The interior is modern, and the staff is warm and friendly. The only downside is that the portions have gotten smaller over the years. read more
One of the coolest things that I like about this place that they cook in front of you so if you really wanna watch them do it it's behind a glass window so nothing is to be ashamed of or anything like that at all so they definitely have a clean facility that presents very well. Customer service is really nice and responsive and definitely does a great job overall. Now let's talk about the food.... I got the braised beef. I believe it's called but I gotta tell you this is one of the best things on the menu that I feel no mind you I also am somebody that particularly likes all different types of food but this is the one that I get every single time so I imagine maybe there's even better. Overall, I would say that this place is outstanding. The pricing is reasonable. I wouldn't say it's the cheapest nor the most expensive but I will say that it's reasonable. I wish I could eat these noodles everyday... Noodles street is the perfect place for a warm bowl of beef noodles, but don't sleep on their other dishes! My favorite was actually the beef roll pancake! So crispy on the outside and super flavorful on the inside- filled with green onions, cilantro, hoisin and tender beef. We had the flat noodles in the beef noodle soup which I would recommend. They were chewy and super super long! Tried to slurp up a single noodle and it just didn't end! The wait was thirty minutes on a weekend night but once we were seated the food came out fast. Service was very friendly. Delicious handmade noodles! You can see them make the noodles through the window in the kitchen. I had the knife cut beef noodle stir-fry. The sauce was very flavorful. I also had the lamb skewers and spicy wontons. The lamb was seasoned well. The wontons were pretty big and meaty. The sauce was not as spicy as I expected and was a little sweet. My group enjoyed their noodles as well. It seems to be a popular place. Plenty of people were standing outside when we arrived. The food comes out pretty fast so the wait for a table didn't take long. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. read more

This was our first time. We got a table right away, and the staff was attentive and helpful. I got thick cut noodles with a beef sauce. Amazing. My friend got Shrimp stir fry which she liked. As this was lunch, and we had no where else to be, we sat and ate and talked until every bit was gone. I also ordered an iced oolong milk tea with 50% of the sugar and it was perfect. So it's been a while since I've been to noodle street. Would usually go to the Monrovia location. Stopped going because they give so little beef in their beef noodle soup. Literally like 4-5 very small and thin slices of beef. For whatever reason my wife wanted to try it again since we were in old town Pasadena. Left feeling a huge regret. Beef noodle soup had nothing but noodles and again like 4 thinly sliced small pieces of beef. On top of that the deal breaker was when I went to use the restroom I saw 2 buckets of raw chicken just sitting near the restroom like it was no big deal to the employees. A bowl of soup always sounds good to me and I wish I lived closer to this restaurant! Went during the weekend and there were a few people waiting outside but the wait wasn't that long. The restaurant inside was clean and cute. The server was really nice and I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup. The bowl was pretty big when it arrived and I could've easily shared it with another person. The broth was super tasty and the noodles went well with it. There was a good amount of meat and I got full halfway through the bowl haha I took a little break and ended up finishing the whole thing :) it was delicious and I'll definitely visit again to try their other soups! read more

Although I'm sad that some of my old favorites have been taken off the menu, I keep discovering new amazing dishes. In particular the wontons and scallion pancakes are fabulous together and I highly recommend using the spicy and sweet wonton sauce as a dip! read more
My husband and I came on a brisk autumn night after the rains and the soup hit the spot! I ordered the Signature Beef Noodle Soup (plain, not spicy) with flat noodles. While the soup was flavorful and the beef was thinly sliced, the noodles came in a big clump that made it hard to eat. Hubs ordered the Bone in Rib Rice Noodle Soup. His broth was a little less flavorful but I loved the tenderness of the beef on the rib. Again, the noodles were a bit less than ideal as some of the noodles were unevenly cooked and al dente. We also ordered the beef rolls which were delicious. Maybe they were just having an off night with the noodles? Overall, good, but I was a little surprised by the noodles from Noodle Street. Service was mostly good. We ordered quickly and the food came out fast. However, the waiter never came back to take our check. After a significant wait, my husband just walked it up to the counter to pay. That part was a bit strange as they didn't seem that busy. read more

I normally dine at the Santa Anita mall location. It did not occur to me that they have more than one location. I was able to find street parking and stopped by for lunch. Great atmosphere. I wanted to try something different so I ordered Spring cold noodle and Chicken noodle/rice noodle soup. Depending on what you order, you can choose your noodles (standard round, flat, triangle or knife cut). I enjoyed the spice for the cold noodle. Not too spicy, just enough. Staffs are attentive and always checking up on you. I will stop by again if I can find parking nearby without a hassle. read more

Weirdly I wasn't in the mood for noodles but decided to try Noodles St anyway. The cucumber salad was good, still crunchy and refreshing, paired well with everything. The lamb skewers were tasty, good spice but a little dry for my taste. The scallion pancakes were great, crisp and not greasy at all. The star was the beef roll, very balanced in flavor, not overly dressed with hoisin and the beef itself was top notch. One of the best beef rolls I've had in a while. 5 stars. read more
My friend and I came here for dinner because the line at Boiling Point was insane. I ordered a spicy beef noodle soup with beef tendons. When my bowl arrived, I tried the soup, and it was actually quite spicy. I don't usually mind spicy food, but the soup itself was very strong. I went to try the beef but couldn't find any tendons. I reported this to the waiter, who also couldn't find any and took the bowl back. I watched as the chef took my bowl, removed some beef pieces, and added tendons. While I don't think there was anything wrong with that, I couldn't help but feel it was wasteful. Why remove the beef when it's just going to be thrown away? Couldn't they have simply brought me a small bowl with a few pieces of tendon instead? It seemed like they'd rather waste the beef than admit the mistake and make it right by adding the tendons. There wasn't much beef to begin with. Halfway through the meal, my stomach started to burn, and I didn't even finish the bowl. I ended up taking it home, planning to add water because the soup was just too strong. We also ordered the beef roll, and that wasn't bad. read more

Love, love, love Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup!!! And this place did it SO WELL! I brought my partner here to try taiwanese beef noodle soup for the first time for dinner! We came around 8pm on a work night and were greeted by kind staff and seated immediately. Everything we got, my partner and I loved! It felt like comfort food after a long day of work. FOOD: -Beef Stuffed Pancake (so many scallions and so crispy!!) -Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with Knife Cut Noodles (the spiciness was great for my taste and the broth was so flavorful!! I also love the fun shape of knife cut noodles and loved it) -Signature Beef Noodle Soup DRINKS: -Peach Black Tea -Passion Fruit Black Tea Definitely coming again for my fix for beef noodle soup!! read more

The food here is delicious. Beef roll pancake is so delicious. Beautiful snack. This is a nice casual lunch meal that is nicely light and filling too. Spicy beef noodles: The knife cut noodles have a nice soft texture paired with the beefy and slightly, slightly herbal soup. I would not characterize this as spicy at all but it is delicious and there is spice powder on the side if you want to kick it up a notch. read more

This place was exceptional! Love that you can pick the size of the noodles and portions are incredibly generous - we had leftovers for the next meal. The service was friendly, respectful and responsive. Loved the spicy beef soup and noodles with shrimp. I highly recommend either! We ordered the crispy tofu that was almost overwhelmingly seasoned. We kept munching on the bites to decide whether or not we liked the flavor. It was incredibly well done but not sure if the spice coating was our favorite. Some of the best service I've ever had in SGV! Super nice staff really elevated the experience. I like how you can also see into the kitchen making the noodles. I ordered the beef roll and the spicy beef noodle. Great meal for staring for 2 maybe even 3 people. Food match the service. Good quality and fresh ingredients. The beef was so tender. My mouth is watering just writing this review. Like how clean it was in here. There is a lot of paid street parking. You park and get a ticket at the box. I would come here again in a heart beat. Yes. They do use white sesame seeds in their chili oil condiment jar. The Veggie Noodle Soup does contain sesame oil, but it's removable. Also, the Korean Barbeque Beef with Rice does have white sesame seeds, but removable.
