Not sure if owner changed , but I ate here few years ago, it was delicious. Today came here, service is terrible, the server doesn't speak English, and food is very oily, and greasy. The pho smells like curry, and they don't give all the little sides and sauces that other places offer. Definitely not coming again

Interesting spot to try some place different!

I actually give this place 3.5 stars. Coming upon it as a whim choice, without knowing anything about it, it proved to be just OK. On my way to am event, I found it on Google maps and thought I'd give it a try. This is the land of a multitude of medium to low-level chain restaurants. Sorry for being snobby, but KFC is predominant, and independent one-off restaurants are mainly Mexican and Southeast Asian. In an unassuming strip mall, this place is clean and pleasant enough, yet slightly dated too. You have to overlook the worn and damaged chair legs and storage boxes in the dining area, but, hey, it could be a lot worse. We came at an off time, 3pm, and were the only patrons. Another arrived sometime after. The kindly gentleman who waited on us, along with a woman, were the absolute best. Very cordial, helpful, and wanting to please, however possible. He kept apologizing about the lack of staff and yet did all he could to make the meal enjoyable. The menu is beyond extensive, and one wonders how they can manage to keep so many items in a small restaurant. It is basically a Vietnamese establishment, but the menu broadly covers a lot of ground beyond it. I ordered the crispy (deep-fried) noodles with tofu as the 'protein' option. My better half got the chow fun noodle dish and had an iced tea. I had the Thai Tea (I was politely corrected that it is NOT Thai Iced Tea! And, they did not have the bobo as described, which was just fine.) The service is indeed slow, and we were told that when getting seated. That was not an issue as we had a lot of time before our event anyway. The portions were ENORMOUS! They are platter sized and obviously intended for sharing with several. My dish was good, a bit bland, which I spiced up with the sauce provided, and it is considered a vegetarian option. There was nothing very unique or interesting about it, yet good. It had the usual onion, carrot, broccoli, baby corn and celery combination. I found the crispy noodles very difficult, both to break down or get softened some. I tasted the chow fun, and the noodles were excellent. Overall, it was an OK experience. I left thinking that I really want a place like it to succeed. We need these mom and pop one-off restaurants, and the more we patronize, the better they can become.

Idk how this place has 4 stars. It's probably from ppl who have never had REAL Viet pho. I ordered a small pho plate & honestly I think they gave me a fuckkn kids plate. The veggies for the pho was cilantro! Who the fukkn eats authentic pho w cilantro!!?? Everyone knows it's supposed to b BASIL. . . .they could of given me more cilantro at least 3 bitchy hairs of cilantro. I have more hairs on my waxed vagina than what they gave me. Servers we nice but how nice can you b when there fuckkn ripping ppl off. My husband ordered a regular rice noodles w meat. Big ass plate only filled a quarter of the way. Ppl that come here like white washed pho. U want real pho go to the ghetto.

Mostly rice noodles...good broth, but needs more substance

My sister was visiting froM Los Angeles, and after a day of snacking on a lot of food throughout the day, she said she wanted "soup." She has only had Pho once before (she lives near Sawtelle BLVD, in So. Cal, which has a. lot of Japanese food influence) so this seemed like a good choice. We each ordered the chicken, broccoli, and tofu pho, small size. I have a 3 to 3.5 rating, as though a small, this was like the equivalent of a kid's size, in terms of food. While the broth was flavorful, I had two pieces of broccoli, three pieces of chicken, and a big bowl of rice noodles. Had there been more broccoli and/or chicken in the soup, the rating may be higher. My sister said, for a second time at pho, was just perfect for her. They were near closing, and they were very polite, so good service. I am not really living in Citrus Heights at the moment, so I don't know if I'll ever return, but this may be in the "if a friend suggests it, I'll happily go, but not sure I'd recommend it."

My first time here supporting the business. I see these folks here are trying really hard but what they are serving-bad ingredients. Server brought my order without utensils. I ordered the crab noodle soup(bun rieu). Please folks, if you see the ingredients looking bad-don't serve your customers. One thing about business owners is that if you are trying to save every penny and taking the chance to make money off customers. The chances are you will be closing down your business. This is an example, I'm not coming back bc my order was nothing good but a bowl of spoiled, bad ingredients.

    53. Rare Slices of Beef Steak Noodle Soup

I wanted something different and I didn't want to search the next morning. So I went on Grubhub and found Noodle House. I schedule my order first thing in the morning. My order was prepared and delivered to me via GrubHub in the time parameters I had set... I was truly disappointed in my order. The food arrived lukewarm at best. And the restaurant is only about 4 miles away or 15 minute drive. It should not have arrived at that temperature. I ordered Vietnamese style Mongolian beef, a Vietnamese sandwich, fresh shrimp rolls, and beef soup with rare beef. It is really not recommended to order beef soup or any soup from any Vietnamese restaurant to go or to have it delivered it is always a big process and many containers... my soup container arrived at best lukewarm. Plus it was a big hassle just trying to take the lid off of the container. And in this instance there was not a big serving for what they gave me. It was a poor value for what I spent on this item. My order of Mongolian beef was small plus they did not give me any rice to put it on top. My Vietnamese sandwich, as seen in the picture was more bread than filling... The bread was three times the amount as to the actual ingredients. I have had a much better sandwich in Florida than from this location... and this is probably the first time I have ever said anything possibly good in Florida. I I also got fresh shrimp rolls..I got four pieces of shrimp rolls with two shrimp per roll. Also one small container of peanut sauce. After dipping roll into the sauce of , I should've at lease received an additional container of sauce... Another note the containers were not properly secured. One container all of the juices from the entrée poured out and was collected into the plastic bag I had to actually unload it in the sink to try not to make a big mess but that was unsuccessful... Overall I was truly disappointed into the quantity the quality and the deliverance of my meal. I would not recommend getting a delivery from this restaurant..

    6B. Cream Cheese Wontons
    Krystopher H.

My wife and I came here to try this place finally and let me tell yall. We had the 6B (cream cheese wontons) and the 36 (beef and shrimp vermicelli noodle salad) and they were both delicious. The sauce that came with the wontons were fire! Like a sweet and sour plus spicy chili oil. The wontons themselves were very light and delightful crisp crunch. So good. My wife says "number 36 will change your life". The beef was cut nice and fine so you didn't have to chew up a bunch of beef. Plenty to go through each bite. They were very quick with serving us and getting our order in and out. Pretty slow on the Sunday evening we came out, but that won't stop us again from coming back out. It has decor you would imagine being there and the music wasn't too loud. Instrumental of a lot of known music.

Delicious food and fabulous service. The ambiance was nice and Christmasy. We ordered the number 34 and it was exactly what we were craving. Fresh, delicious, we finished every bite.

    3. Shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls

They had the worst rice paper spring roll I ever had. LIKE THE WORST. It's only rice noodle, HALF PIECE of veg, and 1 shrimp which cut in half. I never left any comment for any restaurant before but this is unacceptable. Not to mention it's $10 for the roll. It's like the most basic item for a Vietnamese restaurant. And they failed it. I'll never come again and if anyone want to try out this restaurant, I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T.

The woman at the front who took my order was very nice. I've dined in before and the tables are fully set up with all the necessary condiments, but today I just needed to get home and hope the food could do its thing. I ordered the pho gai, which is lighter and cleaner than the typical Vietnamese beef pho. The broth has a slightly fermented, deeply umami flavor, probably from fish sauce, along with lemongrass, chicken broth, chicken breast, and ginger. Perfect when you're stuck with a cold. It was packaged really well with chili oil, jalapeños, celery, lime, and the noodles on the side. There isn't a ton of chicken if you're looking for high protein, but I didn't care. It was so good and soothing. Nothing like sweating over a bowl of herbal soup while sick. I also ordered the Lao sausage, which has a great blend of aromatics, especially lemongrass. It comes with a sauce I'm not totally familiar with, but it's bright and limey, likely fish-sauce based, with something like charred pepper or tomato that almost reminds me of a Mexican salsa. So good. This place is awesome. I've only ever gotten soups here, but I definitely need to branch out and try more of the menu. Prices are very fair too. The soup alone was just under 1.5 liters so great bang for your buck.
