This is an update to my previous review of Feb. 28th 2025 After a negative experience last February, we nonetheless decided to give Noodle Express another try last night. It seems that there were some significant changes made since our last visit. Oddly, just as on our previous visit, we came in about 40 minutes before closing, ordering a single bowl to share. The only real difference on our end on this occasion being that this time we asked for it to go, though we did sit down to eat for a bit. The dining experience this time was like a night and day difference compared to the last visit. The young lady taking orders at the counter, Kaylea I believe her name was, couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Once again, we noticed that there were no longer lemon wedges available by the water and asked if there were any available in the back. She said that she could go back and cut some for us and had no problem doing so, handing some wedges to us quickly and efficiently. She was also happy to provide us with an second bowl since we were sharing, and some extra Osaka sauce when we requested some. She was very polite and took the time to make nice conversation with us. At one point, a member of the kitchen staff came out to take away the tea dispensers on the counter, but took the time to ask us first if we were having tea and if we would like any more before he had to take them away. That was very considerate and we felt seen. There was lobby music as expected, but this time it was low enough that it wasn't intrusive on conversation, and thankfully there was only one station playing. As we were finishing up (we ate quickly because they were about to close, and we were trying to make a movie start time), this time no one came to our table to "remind" us that they will be closing in a few minutes. We were left in peace to enjoy our meal and conversation.... unlike last time. I don't know if it was simply because the overall experience was better, but the food itself seemed to have received an upgrade as well. Very, very tasty. Panda Express is better. I got the Thai Curry & it was almost there flavor wise but then also completely lacked all the great elements that make up good Thai food. The veggies weren't cooked enough and we're still raw and hard. Ate it to fill my hungry tummy but didn't enjoy it & left the leftovers. Not sure what has happened over the last six weeks, but my wife and I had been regulars for 4 years and always enjoyed the smiles and the food. Past two visits, the food has been nothing like the previous visits. I always order chicken yakisoba because it's always been tasty and prepared correctly. Last two orders had very little chicken, non-existent zucchini, a basic spaghetti noodle and cabbage entree. People working the counter and kitchen seem angry to even be there. Normally noodle express is one of my favorite food places there food is good but there employees absolutely suck at there job. The last 6 times I've come here they have gotten my order wrong. There jobs not that hard it's super irritating when I pay extra and they don't even get the order right. Their service sucks and they need better employee sadly this store has gone down hill bad. The employees are also rude & have horrible customer service. They mess up and don't even offer to fix there mistakes. I hadn't been to Noodle for about a year. The noodles were still really good. We always ordered pot stickers, which we did this time. They came deep fried to a very hard crunch and shriveled to half their size! Pot STICKERS?! They're supposed to be soft and sticky, not a hard crackly crunch. They are the reason for the low rating. I'm teetering between a 3 & a 3.5 To be fair we came right as the lunch rush was ending. Line was almost out the door. Tables more than two top were in need of attention. It took about 20 min from the time our order was put in to get our food. We didn't end up having time to eat but we thought that might happen so we requested To-Go. No plastic wear or napkins were put in our bags nor were we told that. Fortunately we asked ...so that would of been a big fat negative. writing this review after having tried this location on three separate occasions. I got the beef twice and the chicken all three so overcooked and I couldn't finish my meal. Noodles were great but they always forgot my sauce on the side so those were dry pains me to write this review because every other location is far above average but this location in Hayden I would give them a two out of 10 not yummy. read more

I stopped by this location because I had other stores I visited in the shopping area and was hungry for lunch. I tried the shrimp yakisoba in the small size. The taste was very good and I wished I had a bit more teriyaki sauce for the dish. The veggie eggroll was not too greasy and tasted good also. When you come in you order at the counter and then take a number and sit down at a table. When ready, they bring your meal to your table. read more

I've gone to this restaurant 4 times and I always order the same thing and substitute the rice for grilled veggies. Every time I order the kid working the cashier has to get the manager to figure out how to put my order in. That's usually fine but tonight I ordered to go. Got my food home and instead of grilled veggies with chicken I had a bowl of cold coleslaw. What part of GRILLED VEGGIES says COLD COLESLAW?!!!! Most expensive bowl of garbage I've ever been given. I can't possibly be the only person in the area that doesn't eat a ton of carbs and would prefer to have veggies. Last night I went into Noodle Express with my son to grab food to go. I always know this is one of the restaurants I can come to and feel safe about getting food that is gluten-free because I have celiac disease. Lindsey has helped me numerous times and always takes great care of our family when we come in. She always goes above and beyond to cook my food separately so that I don't have an allergic reaction. The other thing I really love about this particular Noodle Express is that all of the produce is so fresh every single time and the quality of food is always consistent. Honestly, I tried to reach out privately through Facebook and also through the website (no "contact us" option), but never heard back. It is pretty aparent they don't care about the business as they used to. Used to be one of my favorites, but after 3 visits this summer while in town I am thoroughly disappointed and probably won't be back. From undercooked shrimp to very dry rice, dirty lobby and bathrooms, ginger sauce that is way too thick............just so disappointing. The kicker was when I was in yesterday they didn't have any soy sauce. An asian restaurant without soy sauce (ugh!!!). Walk your lazy but next door to Albertson's and buy some soy sauce for the tables. Eating all that dry rice without any soy sauce was awful. So sad that I had to write a negative review because I rarely do this and usually like to just reach out directly. You walk in and things are clean. Ambiance is good. Menu is easy to read. Food is quality and tastes good... But... For $10 I'm thinking more than a drink and a bowl of rice, veggies I won't eat, and a tiny portion of chicken. The price/food ratio isn't really worth it. If rather be at Panda for this. I'd really rather be at Pei Wei but there are none up here. Probably won't be back unless someone else is paying. Update: Changing from a 3 to a 4. It's actually a great place. Nice inside. We really wanted to love this place and tried it a 2nd time just to give it another chance. The food was way too salty both times and the little meat we did get was dry and inedible. We had absolutely nothing more than a sliver of pork in the pork fried rice Definitely not worth the $9.50 We also were not given the Asian slaw that was supposed to accompany our orders. How do you give a place more than 5-stars? HUGE fan of the place and their food. We live 300+ miles away and always stop here on the way through. We also beg family to buy bottled sauce... Just awesome food. Teriyaki chicken is good. Chicken Osaka is out of this world. I like to ask for less rice and more salad. ONLY downside - serving size gets smaller (but maybe it's cuz I'm greedy). I asked for teriyaki shrimp noodle bowl, I don't come here that often so idk the correct way to say it, but she looked at me like I was a pile of rocks making noise, then corrected me "so actually you have to say cooked in teriyaki" no I don't have so say anything I feel like you're a big girl and can figure out what I mean. I'm not the chef. And then I asked for orange chicken, again looked at me like I was speaking gibberish and then responded with "we don't have that" well what's the closest thing to it? She waves her hands up and behind her at the menu while staring at me like she shouldn't be working or helping a customer. She's being loud and rude to coworkers aswell. Either I'd put her in the back or fire her. She's the reason I'm leaving this review, I've never been treated so poorly at a food service place. As far as Asian or thai places go they're alright the thai curry noodles were good, however they dont compare to thai orchid in klamath falls OR. The noodles were nicely cooked but were a bit starchy (nitpick) and the plate was loaded with veggies and chicken. Noodles express is a great alternative for a quick meal. In fact, I'd rather go here instead of going to Wendys or any another fast food burger joint. I crave and the love the chicken Osaka, it is so delicious and I always want more of their cucumber salad.
