This is by far the best Lanzhou noodles in MoCo…read more We've been eating the owners noodles for 5 years since before the first location when he was selling it inside another restaurant. Happy to see his nood soup still killing it and winning awards. Order the #1. Add some chili oil. Try a side or two. That's all you need. I personally like noodles, my kid loves belt style, my wide loves knife cut. They do it all and don't miss on flavor.

We were invited to lunch with a friend who took us to Chopin Noodle House. Interesting concept,…read morebut forget about the piano and the music - the food is fantastic on its own. I got the Scallion Oil Noodles - chewy, hand pulled noodles in a smooth oil dressing. Pair it with the chili oil kimchi for a nice contrasting crunch. My favorite, however, was the Tofu with Century Egg Salad - a small bowl with cubes of soft tofu and quartered century egg and chili oil. Lots of textures and tastes thrown into a tiny little bowl. Be careful - as proof that this place is authentic, their "vegan" vegetable tofu noodle soup is served in beef broth. But once you hammer out the details of the ingredients, the taste is worthwhile. Plenty of others feel the same way - we arrived when they just opened for the day, so we got a seat, but by the time we left, there was a line out the door. If you haven't tried Chopin Noodle House yet, you're missing out!

Our waitress was lovely and very attentive throughout the meal, and the service was impressively fast. The food came out almost immediately. Everything we tried was delicious. The chili oil handmade noodles and the signature pork soup dumplings were definite standouts and absolutely worth ordering. The firecracker salmon spring rolls were a little different than the typical spring rolls we're used to seeing, thinner and more delicate, but still incredibly flavorful and delicious. Overall, a great experience with fast service, excellent food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I finally went here after passing it for years. I've actually been twice now. I've had their…read moredumplings, combination lo mein, and house basil chicken. The dumplings were delicious on both occasions. The basil chicken was flavorful, but the lomein was very bland. They did not include any sauce in the to go bag (you have to request it). Therefore, I had to eat dry lo mein. The customer service was lovely. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. I look forward to eating in on my next visit. There are many menu items that I would like to try. Overall, I think it's worth a visit. It's conveniently located and the prices are fairly reasonable.

I absolutely love this place! Everything we order always hits. From the cucumber salad, to the…read morenoodles, to the pancake. Everything is absolutely delicious. But I gotta say, my all time favorite dish is the cucumber salad. OMG I could eat it all day everyday. It is just so perfectly seasoned, spicy, refreshing, ugh I loveeee it. The hand pulled noodles are always so good. We've had the noodle soup which is also so good. Literally everything they make is good And besides Bobs Shanghai, I am certain these are the best xiaolongbao I've had in MOCO! They are BIG, juicy, soupy, meaty and so yummy. I don't like that they always forget to give us the vinegar sauce but we ask for it anyways. Highly recommend!!

The pork buns alone are worth the order…read more Got this delivered via Uber Eats and honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm glad I took the chance. Ordered the beef combo knife slice noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, pork wontons with homemade spicy sauce, and the pan fried pork buns. The pan fried pork buns were the clear MVP here, perfectly crispy on the outside with that satisfying crunch, but soft and fluffy inside. Super filling too, which is always a win in my book. The beef noodle soup was solid comfort food with good portions, and the dumplings hit the spot. Only minor thing - I wished the "spicy sauce" had more kick to it. Could've used some extra heat, but that's me being picky. For the price and portion sizes, this place delivers (pun intended). You're getting a solid amount of food that actually tastes good. Would definitely order again, and those pork buns are going to be a repeat item for sure.

Solid ramen spot in Gaithersburg. Perfect for a cold day or a comforting bowl of ramen…read more Ordered their tonkotsu ramen, chicken karage, and okonomiyaki- all delicious! They also have a really good sake selection - one of our favorites was on the menu and it was delicious. The service was decent and the vibes were chill. My partner and I came here for dinner on a whim and here are my thoughts. The food was really good,…read moreand the restaurant itself looked nice/cute but the service was... interesting. There were only 2 servers but they didn't really communicate or coordinate tables. It was a tad bit overwhelming to have ordered some appetizers to start, letting the first server know we still deciding over entrees, and then less than 1 minute later, the second server came up to us asking if we were ready to order. We let her know that someone had just taken our order and she responded by saying she saw that some appetizers had been put in but no entrees. A bit stunned, we politely let her know we weren't ready yet. It was only our first time here and sure, we vaguely glanced over the menu before coming in, but I didn't know what all I wanted to order as soon as I sat down.. Second server came back 2-3 minutes later after making a lap, asking again if we were ready now.. I wasn't, but now I felt a little pressured to just blurt out an order the next time she came back After that it became apparent that they didn't have sections or rotate tables, they just both served all of the tables. In total, we were probably only there for about 35 minutes, but we counted being checked in no less than 14 times between the 2 servers, which could've been nice if we needed anything in between bites, but it was a bit much. Also, the check was kind of pushed onto us as soon as we said we weren't interested in desserts, even though we hadn't finished our drinks yet! Safe to say this isn't exactly a sit down, relax and take your time kind of place. It felt much more fast paced than I was hoping for. That's not personally my vibe, but I would recommend this restaurant for people on their lunch break in the middle of a work day, in, out, done. Just know what you want to eat first ahaha.. For starters, we ordered the seaweed salad, gyoza and the chashu buns. The seaweed salad was pretty standard. The pork gyoza also pretty typical of Japanese places, nothing too special or unique about the filling (they were probably frozen/pre made) and despite the fact they were brought out pretty quickly, they were a bit lukewarm. I did appreciate the little hot peppers as a garnish though, that stood out from others. I put a few of them in the soy based sauce that came with it and it gave it a really nice kick. The buns were good as well but I wish they had a little more pork because that was the best part! For entrees I got the Tantanmen noodles with an add-on of chashu. I liked the chashu and the broth but I felt like there was hardly any ground pork in it. My partner got the katsu curry which was very tasty. We both enjoyed our meals but next time, I'd probably get what he got. Overall the place looked nice inside, there was free street parking available out front and a lot or garage if those filled up. I'd come back again though next time, I'll be prepared for a quicker paced meal.
