I love this place. I just moved to the neighborhood and this place will definitely be in my new home. Anyway I was working on my new house full of dust and dirt. What a wonderful experience it was spending time in this shop. The place is gorgeous, the owner is an awesome guy, and I got tons of cools clothes and a guitar out of the visit. Out of all the vintage shops I've been to lately, I've never had such a personal visit like this one. The owner took me and my girlfriend on a spree of trying on different items that he hand selected for us after discussing our styles and preferences. Then, he gave us free reign to dig through items in the back, ourselves. On top of this, we got two bags worth of clothes and a guitar I wasn't even expecting to be able to afford for a wonderful value. Thanks so much for the positive experience, Ken. I've been intrigued by the window displays at Nonu for some time but when I saw the beautiful array of red vintage clothing just in time for Valentines Day I had to double back and finally walk in. I'm so very glad I did. The shop is much larger than it appears from outside and us chock full of treasures at very reasonable prices. The owners helped me find the perfect Valentines gifts for both of my teenage kids, a gorgeous vintage hat and mud-century heart shaped jewelry for my daughter and an authentic Pan Am bag and model airplane for my plane obsessed son. They even attached an extender to the necklace while I waited free of charge. Nonu is my new favorite shop! read more

Finally, a vintage store that feels alive and it's in Dumont! This was the best experience I've ever had visiting an antique store. First of all, I have to applaud the owners in the quality of their merchandise. I've visited a few antique stores in Jersey and have been to the large-scale ones in Florida but these guys have set the bar. Almost everything looks brand new, which I've never seen before in an antique store. On top of that, their prices are definitely more than reasonable so if you do decide to take a stroll in to see their wares, don't be surprised if you walk out with a few things because you just couldn't help yourself. (Yes, I am speaking from experience) The owners were so nice and helpful and Ken really went above and beyond at making us feel welcome once we stepped inside the store. I loved his enthusiasm for much of the pieces in his shop. You can tell he really loves what he does. We spent over an hour in here because just when you think you've seen everything, there are all these great hidden finds scattered about the store. One of the items was a portrait of the Virgin Mary that was partially made out of butterfly wings. Others included a blow-dart gun resting on a set of bar stools, and an old Gothic style red velvet lamp that I could have pictured in an Old Western Brothel (just to name a few). They even had a corner dedicated to clothing and the sort which is where I quickly fell in love with their collection of pristine handkerchiefs (who sells those anymore?!). I will definitely be back to see what is new in stock. From what I've seen with my first visit, I definitely won't be disappointed. read more

This store is the greatest. I grew up in Bergen County and live in New York now, and I was amazed to find a store like this in north jersey. The store reminds me of a Williamsburg vintage shop, but with none of the pretension, snobbiness, or insane prices, but all of the quality and hipness. The owners are incredibly sweet and helpful; I spent over an hour in the store, because I was having such a delightful time. I walked out with a few beautiful vintage shirts, and am sure that I will do the same next time I am visiting the area. Maybe if I find myself with a more substantial tax return than I am expecting, I will leave with the magnificent floral couch as well! This is the only store in Bergen County that I have ever raved about. Don't spend your time reading any more reviews, just go there already! read more

So I bought a vintage table cloth to recover a club chair. Quite a bit of linens and reasonably priced as most are best used as cutters but also has pristine barkcloth panels. Has significantly upped the number of furniture, lighting, and objects in the store since my original review . Also opened up a back room with more vintage clothes. His prices are less than NYC but not by much but most of the time he's going to get his price as it"s one of the only mid century modern shops in Bergen County. Vintage isn't my thing (decor wise) but I do like looking at nostalgic stuff. I've found myself pulled into Nonu three times now just to look (who ever sets up the window display and mannequins outsides knows what they're doing). They have furniture, jewlery, dishes, drinkware, knickknacks, vinyl, etc. etc. Pretty much anything you could want if you want well kept old stuff you can find here. Dispite not thinking I'll need anything here I will be back. The place provides a treasure hunt atmosphere where you never know what you might find. Was driving by and saw their awesome window display so I decided to stop in. Was met right away by one of the owners. He was so pleasant and extremely helpful. Showed me lots of very cool vintage dresses. They have a varied selection of day and formal wear. Lots of name brands. (Fendi, Escada, etc) Prices are perfect. They have a fitting room so you can try items on which is a major plus! Great accessories to choose from. They also have a lot of home items as well. Some furniture, glassware, decorative pieces. Everything is clean. This is not a dusty thrift shop. When you are in there you feel like you're in a SoHo boutique. It would be definitely be worth the drive from wherever you are. read more

Finally got a chance to check out Nonu and I was blown away by the quantity and quality of all the merchandise. Everything in here looks brand new, the prices are very reasonable, and Ken is a great guy and will help you find exactly what you're looking for. I spent most of my time looking through the clothing section, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of styles available. I went in looking for a long sleeve button down but walked out with a light sweater instead, and I had some laughs with Ken while I tried on some other sweaters and jackets in between. I wish I had more time to check out the rest of the accessories, furniture, and wall decor, but I plan on coming back sometime soon. read more

This place is AMAZING! Clothing, accessories, kitchenware, furniture, TVs, art- you name it, they have it! Ken has an incredible eye for vintage and the selection is fantastic. You can find things from every decade of the last hundred years. I'm partial to the 40's/50's style and there is never a shortage of fabulous things! I have not found a better place in Bergen County to shop for vintage everything. The selection of gorgeous little hats is amazing. Usually vintage clothes are tiny on me (I wear an 8), but at Nonu I always find something in my size that is beautiful and in great condition. Ken is great at feeling out your personal style and will pull out endless on-point suggestions for you. It's like having your own stylist! The prices are great too. This place is amazingly fun to stop in, even if you're not looking for anything in particular. I bet you can't walk out empty-handed! read more

This charming little shop is a pleasure to browse- the owners- Ken and Jon are so helpful. I have bought jewelry, clothing, furniture, and recently a stunning faux fireplace circa 1930s. Ken and Jon delivered the piece, reassembled it and made sure it was placed just as I liked. While they were here they gave me some valuable ideas about decorating and making the most of a small space. They even search for pieces for me and have an eye for exactly what I may like. Also- they are a good source for finding places/ people in the area that have items/ services you need. They are just really fine people and run a spectacular business. Not only is NONU Vintage chock full of beautiful items, EVERYTHING is in pristine condition!
