I'm never surprised to read the awful comments people leave when it comes to consignment shops. People are attached to their items, urgently need money and sign away to contracts before reading them. Then get surprised when the items are donated after sitting on shelves for years or if they're items go on sale after many missed calls and unanswered emails. I've gone to every consignment shop in Northern Jersey the Upper East Side and even tried selling online but NOTHING compares to my fabulous experience with Simona at MINT. She's straight forward, and very knowledgeable, she lets me know what my items are worth and EXACTLY how much money I'll make, unlike other consignment shops who just advertise as " 40-50% of selling price". I trust Simona and her team with all my luxury pieces! Most of the times, she sells my bags so I can purchase new amazing bags she gets in. It's a great experience as a consignor and as a shopper! You'll always find something exquisite and rare. My advice to future consignors, is please be mindful that this is local boutique not a daycare. You HAVE to read contracts and be aware that if your items aren't selling there is an expiration date. CHECK UP, don't forget about your items, call the team and check on status, and ask for a date to pick up any unsold items. Call in before you arrive to pick up any items to avoid waiting. Unprofessional and I agree with other reviews. I was NEVER contacted once my item sold. I came in when the store was empty to pick up my other unsold items and she said I had to make an appointment. When I asked to make an appointment she said I had to call to do so. Why can't I do it when I'm in the store? I also left my merchandise with dust bags that she never returned to me. Use the real real if you want to sell your stuff or buy used. They actually authenticate their stuff and let you know when stuff sells. This place never seemed to do any process to authenticate my merchandise I tried to sell (even though it was real - im sure some people do being in fake stuff). PLUS she gave me my items back in a shop rite bag... why are you running a "luxury" business and giving people stuff in grocery bags??? These are just common business practices and etiquettes that she doesn't seem to follow which is unfortunate. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. I have known the owner for some time, and have both purchased and sold via Mint. My mother is also a frequent customer. There are a great variety of vintage Chanel, Hermes, Louis, Gucci etc. I've bought a really great Dior wallet here before, as well as some other designer pieces of jewelry. Many of her items are classic pieces as well as some limited edition and rare pieces, exotics and furs. I agree with the reviews below on fraud. i brought in a 40cm Birken bag for resale and she kept measuring it at the narrowest point of the bag telling me its not worth as much as i see it on ebay as mine was a 25cm Birkin bag. The owner is a liar and horrible business woman. She sold some of my items and wouldn't pay me or give me back my old items. She said they were past due but they were supposed to be extended by someone in her store. She's a liar, a crook and horrible person. Stay away from this place . The proprietor will take your merchandise , offer you almost nothing for it , and tell you she donated it when you come to pick it up. I tried to collect my merchandise , but when I called or stopped in ,the proprietor was never available or was " with a customer" Finally when I succeeded in getting her on the line , I was told she had already donated the mink sole, vintage jewelry and designer gowns I left with her. If you cannot find a reputable consignment shop ( there is one in Englewood on Palisades Ave. ) and decide to leave your things at Mint, compare the low prices she offers you with the prices of things she has on display. So- our experience- The WORST EVER!! This woman should be closed down by the BBB SHE IS A THIEF- ZERO CREDIBILITY ARROGANT- JUST STAY AWAY My wife was lucky to pick most of her items left on consignment- minus a brand new Chanel case for new glasses, when my wife asked for her case back, the she was yelling at her, saying" oh its just a case, I dont know where it is" The brand new Christian Dior new with tags was left with plastic scratch resistant covering was removed for no reason My wife brought a Chanel bracelet- value $2,500.00- the owner- Simona- was trying to belittle the value and the style of the CC bracelet- so she found the compulsion to put it on her wrist and bang it hard on her counter to make her rediculous point that it is not comfortable- and she broke one of the( irreplaceble) stones- on CC ORNAMENT- therefore devalueing the bracelet considerably- STAY AWAY She will lie to you about evaluating your couture items and charge 4 times the amount- you only get paid on her firesale prices she gives to you on your receipt The only positive reveiw that she has is from her own daughter!! I purchased a vintage Louis at the store last week. Everyone was so nice and the owner told me that I had two weeks to bring it back. Well...when I got the bag home I realized that it smelled like cigarette smoke. I tried to clean it, and the smell did not go away. I called today, 6 days after purchase, to advise that I was bringing it back. I explained that the bag smell gave me a headache and I could not get the smell out. It was like I was speaking to a different person. She was rude, nasty and not willing to hear what I said. She kept repeating "final sale". Just went in to pick up payment for a Louis Vuitton bag that Simone sold for me at this store. I dropped it off 2 weeks ago and she told me she could get at least $2,000 for it. I was a little nervous after reading some of the older reviews but figured it was worth a shot considering I live 2 minutes away from the store and one of my friends just bought from here last week and was so happy. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from her this morning that the bag had sold for exactly the amount she said. When I went in to pick up my money I saw they had the most amazing vintage Chanel dress on a mannequin. I tried it on, fell in love and bought it on the spot. Simone was so helpful suggesting different pieces of matching jewelry and a pair of gorgeous Prada shoes. She was so chill and wasn't pushy like other shop owners I know. Didn't end up buying the shoes bc the fit wasn't right but walked out with a new outfit and some cash in my hand. Spent a great morning at this shop and now running back home to look for other stuff that I don't use anymore so I can sell and hopefully get the mink coat they had in the store that I fell in love with.
