Oven-Roasted Wings (10) - Half Order
Taylor Y.

Had gotten many recommendations to try out this place! It was a lovely option for a casual Thursday night dinner. When we arrived, we were seated promptly with no wait. We had ordered two pizzas and one full order of wings to share among four people. They allowed us to split the flavors of the wings. I especially love the truffle pizza, which was flavorful and decadent.

Nonno was really good. It had that kind of dinner vibe but also felt like a fun hangout. The service was on point and our server was super friendly and kept checking in. Tuesday's are Build Your Own Burger night. For $14.99 you get a burger the way you want it plus limitless fries and unlimited refills. Such a good deal. The burger had great flavor and the fries were fresh and crispy. Nothing fancy just good food done right. Overall it is a spot I would go back to for sure especially on a Tuesday. 10/10 recommend.

Excellent service and delicious food. Ambiance was perfect. If you want to sit and enjoy great brick oven pizza. This is the place. Will be returning very soon.

The food here is really good, though it's somewhat limited. They've only got a few types of burgers and pizzas, and fries. It seems really fancy, but it has more of an elevated casual atmosphere. Most of the staff are really nice, but there are one of two who gave me real attitude.

Wood fired specialty pizza, wings, burgers and pasta dishes. One of my favorite places on the Avenue to eat and have one of their rotating brews. Friendly staff.

Food is average or just above on a good day, so I can recommend if you are close and hungry you will probably be satisfied. But one thing that may have contributed to it's decline is employee satisfaction and appreciation. As I go into detail here. Had a really uncomfortable experience last visit. I thought we would try Mangia again but while we were eating we had to listen to the manager (?) berating one of the employees. Not only was it very negative but there was foul language as well. If you have something to address with an employee.. do it respectfully and privately. Not in front of coworkers, and especially not in the presence of customers. A pleasant dining experience is directly related to a pleasant low stress work environment. Disgruntled and stressed employees do not make for a positive experience for the customer. Service will suffer.

Service was excellent and ambience was terrific, especially because it was quiet since only one other table was occupied while we were there. This was my first visit to Mangia and I would certainly visit again.

Food tasted excellent. Service was exceptional. Server Jake was the best. Food is just a small…read morepercentage above local prices but it is only worth noting because the servings on some choices were not very generous. For example... Burrata Fritta is a generous sized and tasty fried cheese appetizer but, it only came with two small pieces of crustini so you'll end up eating most of it with a fork. Seared scallops tasted excellent as well but there was only 3 and they were the size of a 50 cent coin and about 3/8 of an inch thick. They were served over a generous bed of seasoned peas but, you are buying the scallops not the peas. Like I mentioned before, food tasted excellent there just could have been a little more thought out into appetizer creation. Entrees we selected were a just satisfying portion size and tasted excellent as well. We usually like to take home some of our main entrees for a later small meal but we ended up eating them both in restaurant. One thing important to note of importance to local diners is that entrees do not come with sides or salads. They must be ordered separately. Portions could have been maybe 8% to 10% bigger. I am not complaining but rather suggesting. I will definitely go back again to try some of the other entrees offered.

My heart is bittersweet with nostalgia, missing my old apartment, but loving this revitalization & happy for this little adventure in trying Vintners Table. We arrived last night (Saturday) with a 7:15pm reservation. About 8 tables+ were open, so it appeared the restaurant was starting to clear. We were greeted twice and escorted to our table. The Espresso Martini and Grapefruit Martini were first up. For cocktails containing wine (we are not wine drinkers), these were good. The Grapefruit was perfect for Spring. Light, crisp, sour, sweet. Our waiter gave suggestions towards ordering- And we went with the Calamari and Italian Crab Cakes to start. Followed by Calabrese and Roasted Grape Flatbreads. We enjoyed our stay thus far with drinks and conversation. But when our apps came, this began the turn of the night..... The crab cakes were pretty lush. Three aplate. Lump meat with tasty filler. The aioli was thick and punchy, yum! The calamari was crisp. Just crisp. No squid. Just fried. The slices were so small the fry dehydrated the calamari. It was a miss. We ordered another round of drinks. My husband switched up with a Tiramisu Martini- the lady finger was a fun touch. We chatted- however our banter turned to noticing that most patrons had already started finishing their night and we were just waiting. And sat and waited- for 2 flatbreads. I HATE (as I've said in other reviews), being That Customer. The one that closes out. But we waited patiently for over a half hour for flatbreads? No check in, no follow up. Just sat. Once the clock ticked long enough (about 35-40mins), we called it. I approached the bar and asked for our check. One of the girls asked what we ordered and investigated to find they ran out of dough. For our waiter to THEN come up from behind and apologize for not telling us sooner. Dude- you knew and didn't say?! I spoke then briefly to the Manager who was kind and wanted to comp the flatbreads from our bill, assuring their short arrival. Unfortunately, the lack of forthright from service gave frustration enough to not take the offer. Refuting the flatbreads, if almost made, to give as donation to staff meal. The Manager brought our bill and was sincerely apologetic. We tipped for the great bar drinks and paid (thankfully) with a gift card. Because if we were using a true swipe, I might as well felt like it was a card scam. I am sad for my old neighborhood in this misstep from Vintners. For the wait & wonder and definite lack of communication- It's a Wine - No.
