We had an amazing experience for dinner. We were customers to their Airbnb property and they told us to visit their restaurant and it was fantastic. The attention, the family atmosphere, the flavors in our meal was just exquisite. You can see the pictures our food and sorry r forgot to take picture of the dessert but as you can tell the empty plate of our caramel pan a cotta it was deliciously amazing. We also enjoyed their house wine. If you want a true Milanese meal you have to stop here. Thank you Bruno, mom and dad for your exceptional service.

Happiness made real at a restaurant And no, that's not hyperbole - this place is one of those gems that, once you find, you treasure, and keep coming back to. The staff is friendly (limited english, but that's ok. they'll make the translation work!) and ever helpful, willing to discuss the plates at any length that you wish. The food is simply *stellar*. Anila (and her son Bruno) work wonders in the kitchen, and everything that comes out is exactly that awesome. In particular - The pasta. Oh the pasta. I have a particularly soft spot for the pizzocheri and the caramelle, but everything else works too! - The house antipasti contains some particularly excellent salumelle (think salumi tartare) which is hard to find and wonderful to savor - Saturday and sunday brunch spread. They put out a spread of veggies, salumi, and stuff on the weekend for brunch, that is easily some of the best tasting verdure that you'll get. Enjoy! The wine list is really really good. Just ask the host to suggest something, and be happy The bottom line - this is one of those places that you should go, and keep going back to. I know *I* have for a long long time now... (BTW, the place used to be pretty tiny - they've opened up some extra space downstairs in the wine-cellar that is nicely setup too. )

My wife and I were exploring Milano and she got very hungry and we saw this restaurant near by for authentic food in Milano. When I entered the restaurant I right away noticed the beautiful atmosphere and paintings on the wall. The waiters speak multiple languages which made it a lot easier ordering. They really know exactly what to suggest to eat and drink. I can now telI my friends I have tried the best Wine and Food in Milan. I highly recommend trying the food here.

I literally wrote 4 paragraphs and Yelp glitched and deleted my draft…read more Please make sure to ask them to charge you in Euros because we didn't get the option by the owner and he charged us in USD which costs us more. He's been in business for 44 years so obviously he knows but still charged us in USD which is kinda shady IMO. We decided to dine here due to all the reviews and photos posted. When we approached the restaurant, the owner immediately said "Ni Hao" which I thought was kinda racist. What if I wasn't Chinese? Mink felt offended but we committed to dining there so we did. He asked if we wanted to dine inside or outside. Since it was chilly for Mink, we opted to dine inside where it was 90% full due to a Chinese tour group. They all had the same dish so we figured preset menu for them. I wasn't sure what I was going to get but since they all ate the Ossobuco con risotto alla Milanese in Crosta, I decided to order that as it was one of the dishes I was considering. Mink ordered their Spaghetti ai frutti di mare. I'm not sure why but the owner exclusively took care of us. He also made it a point to bring a photo over of Jay Chow saying he's dined there 4-5 times in the last few years. Maybe that's why the Chinese tour group eats there? He was arrogant enough to brag about how much money he's made because of Jay Chow. There were lots of celebrities that dined there from what gathered looking at his wall of fame. I bet he didn't charge any of them in USD *smh* The Ossobuco con risotto alla Milanese in Crosta was really good and probably the best we had in Milan. They must be able to make this dish with their eyes closed at this point with the daily Chinese tour groups dining there. Their Spaghetti ai frutti di mare was decent but didn't have as much seafood in the dish as other restaurants and the flavor was about average. The bread and EVOO offered was legit though! I loved it and I normally hardly ever eat the complimentary bread. Food is good overall and customer service felt extra. If we didn't get charged USD, wasn't getting bragged to about how much money he made off Jay Chow and wasn't greeted with a "Ni Hao" then the place is 4 stars. Since all that did happened, 2.5 stars.

As described, we knocked to get in and we were very lucky to get a table for our family of 4. Chef M, had to turn others away as the evening went on. He provided recommendations and was very entertaining, even sang a little karaoke! The food was so delicious! And even our teenage boys loved everything! Cannot say enough about this place! Reservations are highly recommended. It's within walking distance of the Duomo di Milano. Just as much as the Duomo is a must visit in Milan, so is this quaint restaurant. When you arrive, you will need to knock at the door. It's a tiny place with only seating for 20 in the entire place. Chef Maurizio sat at our table and shared pictures on his phone of all of the dishes. He made a few recommendations and they were much appreciated. The dishes are served family style - to be shared. Everything he served was amazing. I would not have changed a thing. The restaurant was founded by his father in 1952. And, he is carrying on an amazing tradition. His father would be proud.
