I think they tried to press it cause it had a crispy bottom but even with a slop of garlic sauce in the middle, it didn't hold it together cause it was sooooooo dry. The $5 eggplant meze came in a large to go plate with pickles but also dry (how?!?). The $3 meat pie was cute but nothing special or nothing a proper pastry place can't beat. My order came with the traditional bag of pita (which is nice but all legit places do this); I'm only mentioning this cause I thought this changed with $3 pita side option on the menu. And they gave me the cute little baklava (2) they hand out as a freebie dessert (but also not as good as it used to be). Really really sad that it's nowhere near what it used to be almost a decade ago when I lived in Noho. I come here almost once every ~ 3 months and look forward to my takeouts when I get the chance, but after being disappointed consistently, not likely. Good luck tho! I like what you've done outside.

We ordered the zaatar and cheese stuffed mannaish-- blistered, golden, perfumed with wild thyme and sesame. It's the kind of bread that makes you shut up for a minute. The zaatar hits first -- earthy, sharp, unapologetically Levantine -- then the molten cheese pulls it together like a band that's been playing the same neighborhood spot for decades. Honest. Direct. No shortcuts. Then the adjaruli kachapuri lands on the table -- a canoe of blistered dough carrying a molten lake of cheese and egg. You tear into it, stir the yolk through the cheese, and suddenly you're participating in something ancient and slightly indecent. The crust has chew and character. The filling is rich without apology. It's comfort food with backbone. But here's the thing -- the soul of the place isn't just in the oven. It's Hasan and his family. They introduced themselves, welcomed us in like we were regulars, and made it clear this isn't just a business -- it's their table. That kind of hospitality can't be faked. It's either there or it isn't. Zaatar N'More is the real deal: generous food, proud hands, no pretense. Five stars. Go hungry. Leave like you've been taken care of

Boy was I so glad to find Cafe du Liban! Going to be a regular from now on. I ordered for pick up so I can't speak on service quite yet but there's quite a bit of seating for a few small parties inside. The food tastes delicious and is made fresh to order. Portions are generous as well. My highest recommendation is to order the Baba Ghanoush because WOW. It's so good I could cry. When I tell you I ate this entire bowl by myself. I ate it with the saj, i ate it with my rice, i ate with tortilla chips. Insane.

I prefer pita sandwiches that are cut open and stuffed, rather than rolled up like a burrito the way they do here; the latter compresses everything together into a mush and can drip the contents out the back end, which is exactly what happened when I tried eating this one. This would matter less if the felafel were really good, but these were almost completely tasteless and mushy, no nice crisp exterior. In fact, they were falling apart as I was eating. The hummus was okay. Not bad, but nothing special. And the pita bread they included with it was cold, not warm and fresh. Maybe there are other items on the menu that justify the five star reviews. But the felafel and hummus certainly do not, and I'm not sure I'd want to experiment further.

Back then things were a lot different. Food portions were plenty and very good. I stopped by today around 2:45 pm and was greeted by Salim the owner himself. Service was just ok, could have been better in many ways. They have remodeled this place and it has been around for over 25 years or so..I liked the place the way it was before. Place was clean. You order at the counter and they bring out your food. Salim was not that friendly, nor was he unfriendly. I ordered 1skewer of Shish Kabob that came in 4 small pieces of square beef, 1 skewer of grilled big prawns-3 pieces, which came with Rice, Hummus, Pita bread(stale) & was cold, and cabbage salad. My total for everything including tax was $29.65. I asked my Shish Kebob to be cooked medium, and it was way too well done for my taste. Shrimp and the rest were delicious!! My server Cely could have been more pleasant and friendly. She just brought my food out, placed it on the table & didn't check on me not even ONCE!! One of the cooks from the kitchen asked me if I needed anything and I said, I am good. Had to get up myself to ask for water and napkins. Ambiance was dull and boring. There was no one in the restaurant. Right when I was about to leave, another employee by the name of Micalla came to work and right away asked me if I needed anything. I asked for a box to take the remaining of the food to go. Right away she packed my food and I left. Fridge full of cold beverages and my favorite TAN! An Armenian/Lebanese Yogurt drink. Another downside was that they didn't have an itemized receipt. The last 4 star was for Micalla. Will definitely return again some other time. Shared parking with 5 other businesses and has 1 gender neutral restroom. Place was Established in 1999 and is a Lebanese restaurant. They also do to go orders, catering, and pick up..
