Stumbled across this place and was incredibly happy with the food and service. Had the Indo bowl with shrimp. Very well seasoned. Wife had a salad with skirt steak and cilantro lime dressing. Great atmosphere. Great music. Reasonable prices Melissa and Keri Ann took great care of us. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fun place to eat with delicious food. read more

This place is awesome! They have 2 levels including a rooftop bar. I went in a Saturday evening and they had a live band on the second floor. I sat outside on the rooftop overlooking the street, and it was a beautiful view. I ordered the watermelon margarita with tajin and it was refreshing, all you need is 1. I also ordered the shrimp tacos with mango salsa. The shrimp was seasoned well and the mango salsa had a slight kick but complimented the shrimp well. It was a busy night but the service was great. I'll be back read more

We've been really excited to try out this restaurant. As we entered the property, we found it to be very clean and a great ambience. The restaurant has a very coastal Mexican surfer beach vibe. we came about 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. Main dining area was fairly full, but several un-bust tables. We were greeted by one of the serving staff that said sit wherever you like. All unoccupied tables had not been cleared and cleaned. We went and stood by one of the tables. Staff arrived to clear the dirty dishes and wipe down the table. She never acknowledged us or said hello. We did sit down at the table after it had been wiped down. We waited for about 15 min and were never acknowledged by the staff. We were just getting ready to leave when a server came up offered us our menus and for the first time engaged saying that they were sorry that we had to wait. This was a welcome turning point. The staff was much more engaging we placed our orders and the food was served fairly quickly. Our food was actually very good. The venue offers indoor and outdoor dining and is much larger than it looks from the outside offering live music multiple bars and clean restrooms. We were also very impressed with the outdoor areas. What started off as a bad experience ended well. Well, we only experienced a very small portion of the property. We look forward to coming back. read more

Cool spot! Man - it's HUGE inside and out! It was giving off Nashville venue vibes (not in a Country way, but a "they obviously do concerts and can pack people in here" way.) We visited a few weeks ago with some out of town friends and were pretty surprised. Food was tasty and drinks were on point. Had tacos, quesadillas, and angus chunks. Tasty! Would like to see live music here, but noticed they don't have a real website. I'm not a fan of businesses using Facebook as their only means of communicating menus and events, but I guess that's the cheaper way to do things these days. May come back if I can ever find a calendar of events somewhere. read more

I visited on 2/20/26 and had a very disappointing experience. My friend and I seated ourselves at the outdoor bar area and waited about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. After waiting, we politely made eye contact and gave a small wave in an attempt to get service. We were patient and respectful throughout. Despite that, we were not assisted. During that time, other guests who arrived after us were served and had their orders refreshed. A gentleman stood next to us and was helped immediately while we were still waiting. As the only person of color in that section of the bar, I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable and question why we were being overlooked. Whether intentional or not, the experience left me feeling unwelcome. We ultimately left without being served. I hope management looks into this, as no guest should feel ignored or uncomfortable when dining out. read more

Went last night, roof area wasn't open. Two shots that were miniscule were $10 each. They make their own hours. Starting to not enjoy this place. Food quality still good. Needs more flavor. Spending less time here, I can get good drinks & beer next door at Salty. read more

We visited here on Saturday evening about 5pm Place was empty with good service and good food. What a missed opportunity ice thought about how a 65+ people love to go out to dinner at five or 6 PM especially looking for early bird and happy hour. Nomads really missing out on us active retirees we like to go to frigates and other places that offer great drink prices and happy hour menus. I hope you'll consider that. I saw your happy hour menu and that that's not what we're looking for . I do realize you have a younger crowd later at night and that's great but increase your traffic and think about us 65+ read more

New restaurant in downtown Melbourne! The vibe when walking in is very laid back and open. The restaurant has seating in a large downstairs area and a camper themed bar, more seating upstairs including a rooftop bar. You will also find Baywatch themed games/photos around the restaurant (I loved that!). Our server was Elena. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, whiling to help with any indecisions you may have. They have a nice beer/drink selection to choose from. They had a menu of mixed beers you could try - ordered the beach bum which is Big Wave and Mango Cart combined. Delicious combo! For lunch I ordered the two tacos and chose to do one chicken and one fish (which was the mahi). Every ingredient they use is fresh, nothing canned or premade. Everything came out fresh and really delicious. I would definitely come back here to try one of their poké bowls! read more

**INITIAL REVIEW** For the past season or so, I heard a lot about Nomads Canteen because it was heavily featured on numerous groups and social sites centered on the Space Coast or the Eau Gallie Art District (EGAD). Keeping up with updates on their building and setup prior to opening just further solidified my desire to check them out ASAP. Eventually, I was able to make the venture to Nomads Canteen (which I will shorthand simply to Nomads for the remainder of this review) and will have to say that the visuals and ambiance are aesthetically pleasing and worth the visit alone. But maybe, just maybe, the rest of Nomads is still trying to find its legs. Ergo, this initial visit was okay, but definitely not worth the hype it received prior to opening. Though an address is given, Nomads is located in between the one-way stretch of Eau Gallie Blvd. within the EGAD. To further understand the location, The iconic The Salty Fox is north of Nomads, right across the one-way westward part of the road. You shouldn't have any trouble finding it as the building is quite big and the patrons on the patio dining area will be sure to wave to you. Upon entering, I noticed just how big of an area Nomads is. This place was probably a warehouse of some sort because it does look like a place that would load crates of ice or something like that. Numerous ample seating at high tables and the bar for the core restaurant area while a much larger seating area is available in a space that doubles as a venue area, too. Not sure if they have performing acts yet, but they can definitely fit much bigger-in-size acts compared to other places I have been. There is also a very prominent beach/surfer vibe going on utilizing woody vehicles, surfboards, and even a beach bus. Upstairs is the outside and inside parts of the balcony. The inside part serves as balcony viewing for the venue stage below. There is also a bar and some seating but the decor seems to get inspiration from moose lounges with their moose hide seating flanked by art collages created by the popular collage artist of EGAD, Derek Gores. There also seems to be artwork by Romero Britto, specifically the ceiling. Outside is like any patio seating. Given we live in Florida, you might want to gauge if you want to sit in Florida sun and heat or Florida sun and heat hidden by our Autumn-like winters. Now initially, here is where I am not impressed: the food and overall service. First and foremost, the food is okay but I would definitely choose something else over Nomads. I had a Kona Big Wave (which you can get anywhere), their version of a hot dog, and the bowl featuring mango and salmon. I don't know what it was, but the food did not live up to being satisfying. Sure, the food is passable in flavor, but the arrangement and what you get just wasn't enough. Top it with the high price of food and it is a definite choice to eat elsewhere. Service wasn't bad but maybe because it was between lunch and dinner, they had to use their whole crew to do things and my bartender, though kind and a pleasure to talk to, was pulled away numerous times to do other things. I hope during peak times, they keep him up front because part of bartending isn't just the drinks and the food, but the conversation and camaraderie. Ultimately, I will give Nomads an okay rating. Will I be back? Not on my own volition but upon it being a choice among friends and family. By then, Nomads will have adjusted themselves accordingly and have a bit more experience operating where they are now. By then, I hope they do better because ultimately, it is the ones that improve that get a better rating. Maybe, just maybe, they'll get their fourth star. read more

I've been waiting for Nomads to open for a long time and finally got to check it out! I was so impressed with the inside, it was much larger than expected and has a lot of seating areas and multiple bars. I'm looking forward to attending when they have live music on the stage. I was disappointed with the service but that might be because they are working out some kinks with the new opening. We didn't see our waitress much and it seemed the servers kept getting the tables mixed up since they kept approaching us with other peoples' food. I got the shrimp po boy sandwich which was amazing but it didn't come with the coconut rice like stated in the menu. Also the duck wings only came with 2 wings - it was very good but I was hoping for more! I am definitely going to come back because I loved the food and ambiance - hoping the slight problems will be remedied soon! read more

My fiancé and I had a sunset date night with our pup (Journey) on the upper outside balcony. The food was good as we had 2 drafts on tap & split the most expensive item (steak) on menu. Food is very good and the service is very pleasant. I would recommend Nomads. Also, if you don't mind the seats the upstairs porch is very nice for drinks. It's nice to lookout over the Eau Hallie landscape and the Indian River Lagoon. read more

This is a 3.5 star review....almost 4. Lots to love about Nomads. Beautifully furnished interior with some kick ass music playing, friendly service. I only read the reviews after eating here and would've avoided the chips and guacamole had I known the chips were straight up Tostitos from the bag....not a fan--and it seems that's been mentioned a LOT here on Yelp. I mean, a HUGE portion of chips and the delicious fresh guacamole and pico deserved so much better...why not serve half the amount of the chips and better quality if price point is the issue? So, a disappointing start. Our cocktails were good and strong, though I like a sweeter mojito. Fish tacos with hot salsa were EXCELLENT and I'd order the exact same thing next visit, but definitely skip the chips. read more

I came tonight for drinks and dinner with girl friends and was immediately impressed with the look and feel of this space. They did such a great job renovating the building and I love the Baywatch mural! It was my favorite show growing up. They have a great list of margaritas. I ordered the watermelon margarita from the bar but it's batch made and poured out of a tap. I would increase my rating to four stars if their margaritas were individually made. A fresh shaken craft margarita will always taste better than something batch made out of a tap. The first margarita was very sweet and sugary so I asked them to make the second one spicy. The second one was much better. I ordered the cool cuke poke bowl. It was fantastic and the ahi tuna was super fresh. I loved everything about the bowl. The description said it came with a wasabi sauce but it actually came with a spicy aioli. It was good but I was looking forward to the wasabi sauce. Overall this is a great place to grab drinks and sit on the patio but I really wish their margaritas weren't pre-mixed. read more

Great place. Awesome food pleasant ambiance great and friendly people. Oh yeah, lots of surfboards to look at.

Nice atmosphere with a trendy cool look. Stage area was unusable due to the echo sound and the band vocals so muffled no one could understand a word. drinks were cold, and it is a shame a huge area of entertainment cannot be used to its potential. Called the number listed at 2pm and only got a short recording with a beep I guess for a message. I can be contacted to help with the problem above and our bands would like to play there some day after some sound baffling is added to fix the acoustics of the room. Could be so much better. Staff doesn't even know how to pour a craft beer even though they offer their own. When given the opportunity for music they play outdated hip hop. This isn't a place I would recommend if you want artful sounds and memories. It appears to be a glorified dive bar. The food is mediocre. As a band, make sure you can bring your own sound person because acoustically, your sound gets lost. read more

I'm going to go short and to the point... Ambience: This place is what Eau Gallie needed. Great place. That being said it has a VERY bad case of sound/noise. They need something to tame it (plants maybe?) Service: Our server was super nice. Came to check on us various times. Nothing negative, all positive! Food: Damn. Fire the chef(s)! The food just doesn't equate the establishment. We had the chips with guacamole/ salsa and it was so bland. No flavor. The chips were definitely Tostitos brand (or similar). I had the Spam bowl (forgot the name). I was expecting something creative, yet got something that was worse than a teenager that was high on a Friday night with munchies in the Dorm room of University of Florida. It was BAD!!!! My girl had the sirloin tips. They were good, but why serve them with pesto?!?!?! read more

I will be gentle because they have just opened and are still trying to figure some things out. As far as ambience the place as such a cool vibe and certainly borrows a lot of the theme from its original store in San Clemente. With a combination of a great stage and Soundsystem plus an upstairs VIP bar plus outside terrace bar there are so many places to wander and never feels like your crowded. The food I have found can be a little hit and miss. But for the most part and for the value of the prices it's a fair option when choosing to eat in the Eau Gallie Arts District. I am sure the food will improve as time goes on and they have a solid kitchen staff. for now try to get a live music show or some other special event there because that is where this place has no equal. read more

Went for a work lunch and ate on the first level on Eau Gallie side by the windows. The service was spectacular and I look forward to when Nomads is 100% kicking off for the Grand Opening. Some work is still being done inside which is no big deal because I am so stoked we are getting a cool new place. Soooo excited to hear they are looking at getting national acts on the stage. Brevard also has so much local talent. This venue is going to do very well. I think I'll Uber here in the future at night. Corona Premiere on draft, yay, and Corona specials on Sun Tan Sunday. Love the ambiance and the Derek Gores Baywatch themed collage. Love me some Gores. Check it out now. You know it is going to be slammed busy soon. Oh! The Airstream bar.. read more

Open 10 days at our visit. Grace offered because staff was fired up and loving it. Nice vibe but food SLOW and lacked umph. Soggy from a bag Tostitos chips, guac OK, mines better. My basic entre of rice meat and beans lacked... everything including basic finishes of green onions and cilantro, which would have elevated it to mediocre. Will give them some time to elevate the food to match the work put into the space. ZERO PARKING. read more

Very large facility with pretty cool decor inside. Great band stage, although no band this day. Outside, upper balcony, had a duet playing. Sat in their upstairs VIP seating with a large party. Staff, which consisted of two, was very friendly & knowledgeable of menu. Quick service, immediately with water & taking drink orders. Drinks, appetizers & main course all were timed perfectly. My veggie skewer was served warm & was delicious, & slaw came as side & was very good. Two Mahi tacos were stuffed & very tasty too. No complaints for a first visit, although... menu reads like a book; it has so many items, almost too much to take in, both food & drinks. There is no onsite parking, no handicap parking. Went on Sunday for lunch, parked pretty close... but, probably would not try going during any popular times; Fri, Sat nights. Total bill; one draft, skewer app, 2 tacos - just over $33. Left cash tip. No fee for card users, as most places add on now, & no auto gratuity either. A plus. Would like to return to try more dishes! Very pleased. Wish I lived closer. read more

Finally went to Nomads Canteen last night (Saturday). We got there about 7pm, the place was buzzing. I had no idea how big it is! Great atmosphere, lots of different sections to hang out: outside upstairs and down (kinda) and several great bars and tables inside. Huge video screen over the stage that retracts when the (big loud) band played. Everyone was having loads of fun. We had two fantastic appetizers (duck wings and an awesome guac) and two meals (tuna cuke bowl and a chicken dish) and four very good margaritas. The service was excellent, food (big portions, moderate prices), drinks and ambience. Definitely going back! read more

Service good and quick. Appetizer was guac and salsa which was basic flavor and tastes like from can and not prepared fresh. We all ordered two tacos. Corn tortilla's were cold and not made fresh. Carne asada steak taco had little protein compared to chorizo. First two bites from carne asada was just lettuce and cheese. Shrimp taco still had shell left on a couple of shrimp.13.95 for 2 tacos given the quality was disappointing. Atmosphere is really nice owners did a good job inside. read more

We have been here twice and loved it both times. The first time we went for dinner and to see a band. It was excellent. Great food and drink. The service was great. She told us the best things on the menu and they didn't disappoint. The band was great. We went back. No band but food was still great and our server Sarah was outstanding. Really fun and delicious place. I would go for just a drink too and sit upstairs outside. Overall, outstanding! read more

Great locale, interesting layout. Have no idea about food but will affirm comments made about the SOUND. Heard an impressive band there but it sounded like a metal barn.
