The manager stated he would look into this, that he would come back to our table and provide an update and would also discount our order due to the extended wait time. Shortly after this, our food was finally brought out by our server. However, the manager never came back. He never came back to let us know what happened and never checked on us. When it came time for us to get our bills, there was no discount either. The server was super nice, and took our checks back and had the manager add the discount. The main thing is, the restaurant wasn't even full. At least 1/3 of the tables were empty, there were quite a few people waiting for a table outside, as we had stepped out a few times during our wait and spoke with people who were waiting to be seated for over an hour. I did hear the hostess advising people that they were very short-staffed, which would explain why there were so many empty tables. But the manager should have at the very least come back to speak with our table and maybe also jumped in to help in the kitchen or elsewhere to get things moving. Our server was great & did the best she could. By the time we left the restaurant, it was around 10:30 pm.
