Nom Tea is a great local spot for bubble tea! It's so convenient to finally have a bubble tea shop right here in Rego Park--no more trips to Elmhurst or Forest Hills just to get my fix. I especially enjoy the Vietnamese iced coffee, but the fruit teas are also refreshing and flavorful. Their onigiri is excellent too--cheap, filling, and perfect for a quick bite. My favorites have been the kani and tuna. I'm knocking off one star because the food can take a while if you order in person. On one visit, it took over 15 minutes to get two onigiri, even though only two people were ahead of me. They do accept mobile orders through ChowBus, which might be a better option if in a hurry. The interior is tiny, with just three counter seats, so it's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to hang out. Still, a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

This is a simple, small space for quick bites and bubble tea. I wanted something small to go with my bubble tea. I typically always get Taro. The bubble tea was decent, not the best I've had. I did try the food. I got the shrimp tempura onigiri and 2 piece wings. I enjoyed the food more than the bubble tea. I would come here again to give them another shot for the tea. The wings were really good. I'd definitely get more than 2 pieces next time. As expected with most take out places, service was quick :)

This is a true hidden gem in Rego Park! It's my favorite places to go to for bubble tea in this neighborhood. The staff are always so nice and you can order via the touch screen or at the counter. They have an amazing combo where you could get a chicken sandwich, fries, and a fruit tea for only $11.50. Their horoscope fruit teas are refreshing and their milk teas are creamy with a good tea flavor. This time I got a roasted brown sugar milk tea and a jasmine milk tea, both with bubbles. The bubbles were chewy and the milk teas were delicious! Always one of my go to's!

For their wings alone, Nom Tea deserves more hype. I was not expecting an unassuming tea place -- that seems to be more popular for their drinks than their food, mind you -- to become a regular takeout spot, but here we are. The spicy chicken wings are always perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of breading on the outside and ridiculously juicy chicken on the inside. And most notable is the spice blend they use to season the wings. Whatever it is, it genuinely surpasses most fried chicken in any form that I've experienced so far in my life. There's value to be found elsewhere on the menu, too; the chicken sandwich combo meal, for example, feels downright cheap for what you're getting. As far as quick eats in Rego Park go, Nom Tea is without a doubt toward the top!

I think doing takeout might not be as great as eating it fresh. As ugly as the burger looked. It definitely still hit the spot. Bit on the smashed side but overall its good. Can't go wrong with the sugary drinks too! The Mango Pomelo Pulp was so refreshing! Takoyaki was on point! was still actually steaming when we got the order. I would say a bit of the disappointment was the sweet potato fries. Not sure how other businesses does it. But some knows how to get it to you crispy all the time. Maybe double fry? But, we airfried it again to crisp it up even though it was one piece of mush. Still tasted good. This is a great spot for the youngsters! for old folks like me. This would be a once a month kind of spot.

Absolutely love this place and is definitely a great addition to the neighbourhood. Hubby is Taiwanese and he can't get enough of this place.. their chicken sandwich and onigiri are always on point! We even ordered a party sized order of onigiri (or what my friends refer to as Pokémon food..) bring to our friends and they loved it! Since it was a large order, we asked if there's a discount and the shop owner was so accommodating. I've definitely returned more than 10 times since but we just love it!

I love this place! The food and drinks are all good. The staff have always been friendly and they really care about their food. The place is very small but there's a couple seats in the shop. I have also ordered delivery from them and the packaging has always been top notch. They poke holes in the bag so the fried food doesn't get soggy. My favorite drink is the Pisces drink because we are the best!

Making a decision on what to order was tough! There were so many flavors of tea to choose from, but I went with the White Peach Oolong Tea. It was so good, my boyfriend kept stealing it from me. The flavor was smooth and creamy but not too sweet. While I can't speak much to service or ambiance because this was a food delivery order, I hope to one day visit the location! The Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken was seasoned exactly the way I like it with pieces of crispy basil.

Drinks are generally well made, but my favorite thing here is their Taiwanese popcorn chicken, both regular and spicy. They always fry it very well, crispy and juicy, excellent snack. Service is friendly and quick. Best bubble tea shop around for me.

This is a cute new spot that opened up in the neighborhood. I popped in for a late dinner and got a grilled chicken sandwich (come with lettuce, tomato, and sauce) without the sauce (the sauce is house-made and is similar to a ranch). The chicken was juicy and moist, and for a straight up grilled chicken , it was good! What would have made this better is if the bun had been slightly toasted. But overall, 9/10 for a fast-food chicken sandwich. I also got a classic milk tea with bubbles (boba is a topping), and a tuna and kimchi onigiri. The boba was squishy and it tasted fresh, and I forgot to ask for no sugar. But even with sugar, it wasn't terribly sweet. Also, major points for using good boba! I drink a lot of bubble tea, and it's my second favorite drink, so I hold high standards for bubble teas. I give the bubble tea a solid 10/10.

Returned to try their taiwanese popcorn chicken. Better to eat right away. Took it home and was steamy but still tasty. Good portion. Their horoscope series tea was still too sweet even when we asked for less sweetness. The mango pomelo is not the same as my favorites from 2 other places, which use fresh fruits. ------ Replaced a bakery and now is a bubble tea/snack place, but more for takeout since has very small counter area by the window (for 2 people maybe). Had their matcha latte. $4.75 for medium. Crystal boba is a new favorite topping bec not sweet at all. Added 60 cents. I have to try how their regular boba is so next time. Also many other drink options - like their horoscope and cake series. Snack food available too. Tried their shrimp tempura and HK (spam and egg) riceballs. Around $4 per. Pretty good. Doesn't beat the price of Sakura ya market onigiri prices where I get sometimes but Nom's are made to order so still warm. Will get from here when craving again. Debit card accepted but 3% fee. :( So cash is better.

Newest addition to the Rego Park area. I got the Korean fried chicken wings and Onigiri rice ball. The onigiri rice ball was filled with so much Japanese mayo that it was not tolerable to eat, the Korean fried chicken wasn't crispy enough the sauce is just okay. The space is small so it's not a sit down spot, more of a take out and something small quick bite to go spot, you order your food through a kiosk. The food comes between 15-20 minutes.

New find in Rego Park - this replaced the former Taiwanese bakery. I love that there's bubble tea and different tea options now - other closest spot would be Gong Cha by Costco. They serve hot food and burgers too. Delicious!

We were greeted with a complimentary popcorn, which was delicious! The waiter was also incredibly attentive to our table and made sure to check on us occasionally. The ambiance is dim, kind of like a bar restaurant without too much noise. It's a great spot for a date night out. We ordered 20 pieces of wings, half with soy garlic and the other half with mango habanero, tteok-Bokki (with cheese) and truffle fries. I personally do not handle spice very well, however the mango habanero was surprisingly good and not too spicy. In my opinion, I thought the tteok-bokki was spicier but not too spicy to the point where I couldn't take a second bite. Although I have been to many other Mad for Chicken chains before, this is my first time in the Forest Hills location and also my first time publishing a review for this restaurant. I would totally come back!

Cuisine: 6 Service: 6…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 6 Let me start off by saying that I have never been the biggest Korean fried chicken fan because I find them somewhat lacking juiciness due to the extra time their frying process needs to make the skin extra crispy and crunchy. The thighs/drumsticks are better, but the chicken wings are always too dry for me. With that said, Mad For Chicken chain has been around for a while, producing one of the more tender and juicier piece of chicken. Unfortunately, we did not love their sauces at this location. The soy garlic felt weak, while the spicy soy garlic was not spicy. Serano chili was okay but nothing special either. Our favorite thing that day was their Bulgogi Toppoki Japchae. It was pretty tasty. Might come back for this dish and give their chicken one more chance.

Seriously, don't sleep on the espresso drinks... you can save a few "bucks" by coming here instead and supporting this small business (hehe, see what I did there?). When they first remodeled from a specialty sandwich shop to a craft beer pub, I was quite disappointed. Now I can't get my favorite chopped cheese or sriracha egg sandwich in the neighborhood anymore. However, I come to realize that having a dependable spot for an excellent burger is a pretty nice too. They do a great classic smash burger with a crispy crust and juicy beef. The toppings are always fresh and the bread is extremely fluffy. While the brioche bun is delicious, I may have a slight preference for the sesame seed bun of the Stack Mac. You really can't go wrong with any of their burger offerings. Obviously, a pub needs some tasty fried foods to go with their nice selection of craft beers. Thankfully, they do. The tater tots and onion rings are both really fantastic. Only thing currently still needs a bit of work is their chicken wings. Not bad for roasted wings, but I wish they were fried. During playoff season, I have come watched games while enjoying their offerings. It's never too busy, which makes it perfect for me. This little craft bar is definitely a hidden gem and I'm happy by me.

What a neighborhood GEM!! Kuku Korean was fantastic! Fresh, tasty food at reasonable prices!…read more We (6 of us) were in the neighborhood for a Valentine's Day celebration and searched Yelp for a good ethnic restaurant in the area. We came across Kuku Korean and said YESSS, this is the place to go! The only wrench in our plans was that Kuku Korean doesn't take reservations; not even on Valentine's Day! They warned us that they expected to be very busy that evening, and to expect a wait. Ok, we made plans to go, but also made a Resy with another restaurant close by, as a backup plan in case there was a long wait for a table. But really, Kuku Korean was our preferred first choice. After our V Day event, we rushed over to Kuku Korean to see what the wait time was for a table for 6. It was just after 6pm, and the stars were aligned for us, because we got the last large table available! Woo Hoooo! Happy Valentine's Day to us!! We quickly cancelled our Resy with the other restaurant (sorry!) and perused Kuku Korean's fabulous menu. Our MENU (shared by 6ppl): ~ Seafood Pajeon ($24/large): Crispy battered pancake made with green onions & seafood (mussels, clams, squid, and shrimp). This was phenomenal! So much seafood and such a comforting dish...get this! ~ Veg Japche ($21): Stir-fried Korean vermicelli with Kuku soy-garlic Japchae sauce and assorted veggies. This dish was also available with various proteins but we opted for Veg since we were ordering other meat dishes. This dish was so flavorful and delicious. ~ Kuku Bibimbap ($24): Seasoned vegetables over rice, topped with a fried egg. Served with Kuku spicy bibim sauce. Again, you have the option of adding protein to this dish but we kept it veg. Another great dish! ~ Pork Galbi ($28): Char-grilled Pork ribs marinated in Kuku sauce, served with sauteed onions. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. The pork was cut in thick slices, which was surprising, but wow, this was phenomenal! So tasty and lean, and just delicious. ~ Beef Bulgogi ($33): Sauteed thinly sliced beef rib-eye marinated in Kuku sauce with mushroom, Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. Another phenomenal dish. Bursting with flavor. -- Spicy Squid ($28): Stir-fried squid in spicy Kuku gochujang sauce, onions, hot pepper and carrot. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. This squid was prepared perfectly; not over cooked nor rubbery! Great dish. - Ban Chan: generous unlimited servings; fresh & delicious. These 6 dishes, plus Ban Chan was perfect for 6 ppl to share. We finished everything and were fully satisfied. Every single dish was delicious and we ALL said we wanted to return to Kuku Korean to repeat some dishes and try new dishes. Customer service and atmosphere were great. The busser staff did an amazing job and were even more attentive than our server (who we only saw twice)...kudos to the bussers! They were so hard working, with a smiling, friendly attitude! Give them a raise! Looking forward to a return visit to Kuku Korean...hopefully SOON!!

Tteokbokki is considered street food and its literally rice & fish cakes. And they give you 3 pieces of ginmari. No reason it should be $19. Then for rosé flavor, which is literally just adding heavy cream to the sauce, is an extra $6. Then we ordered the 10 wing + 5 drumstick combo and we asked for half/half sauce assuming half of the 15 pieces are one sauce and the second half is another sauce. First off, they charge you $2 for sauce, which is fine but tell me why they charged us $2 FOUR times. So $8 total for sauce bc they separated the 10 wings into 5 and 5 and put one sauce each and they charged $2 each for that. And then they separated the 5 drumsticks into 3 and 2 and put one sauce each and charged $2 each for that. So total for 10 wings & 5 drumsticks was around $44. I've literally been to every korean fried chicken place on northern blvd and never have they separated the chicken like that and charged the sauces that way. Like why are you charging us for sauce 4 times when it is one single order of chicken. Never coming back here. Its a legit rip off. On top of that, they charge you for to-go containers, which is free at every restaurant. They just charge you exorbitant prices for literally every single thing here. We spent $85, not including tip, on tteokbokki, 15 pc of chicken & an order of fries.
