OMGosh did this place bring me back. My Fiance' and I were on our first European trip and we wanted one nice dinner out. He spotted Hotel Nolinski with it's sleek, modern appeal so we wanted to try the resto. For whatever reason, FYI, you cannot make a reser online, you have to go in.
We were out late walking so we stopped in to make a reser in person. As we had a late lunch and are Americans, we made a dinner reser for 9pm which is early here. Having many positive memories of my 1st trip in 1987 to Paris, I was astounded how much this place reminded me of my first trip!
There was a singer with a guitar for the first 1/2 hour, and when he took breaks it was straight up 70's disco in there. It was somewhat disjointed with the white table linen straight laced look to the place, but read on.
The food was incroyable! We had a chicken that was perfection, a delicious eggplant starter and I'm sorry, I forget what my Fiance's main course was. What was amazing, was around 10pm, this place turns into a party. So, into my 2nd Kir Royale, this place starts hopping.
Every Euro type of person was in this place, the lights get low, the DJ starts to play and then the guy with the guitar, intercutting for about 1/2 hour. Then all of sudden there are sparklers galore, someone is making that Arabian chanting noise and every single female in the place (including me!) is up and dancing to the DJ.
I highly recommend this place for it's ambiance and food. I only wished it had been open on Sunday so we could go back. read more
