I am so happy I stayed at this hotel! The hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful. There is someone present 24/7 in the lobby which allows you to never have to worry about you losing your keys or feeling unsafe. The room itself was just what I needed. Although I had a rear side room, so no view of the street, I was very happy with it. The windows were able to open to the other building however you could have coffee by the window and the room was incredibly private. The blackout curtains were a game changer too! I slept peacefully each night and although the rooms aren't large, they use every inch of the space and was very well planned out. The breakfast was actually one of my favorite parts about being here. You are able to have breakfast in your room or downstairs in the breakfast room. The breakfast rooms decor was lovely and I looked forward to my breakfast every morning! Highly recommend, the staff is lovely and the hotel is clean and my favorite small hotel I have stayed at thus far in Paris. The location is awesome, there are many places to eat and shop (must go vintage shopping while in the area as well). read more

Oh my. Words can't express the absolute gem that this hotel is in the heart of Marais. Perfect location, beautiful decor, cozy rooms, and fantastic breakfast. We had a double room with a small balcony that faced the street. It was perfect in every way. The employees were so kind and helpful and spoke beautiful English to our sad French (but we tried!). We did 4 days in Paris and 4 days in the Loire Valley, returning to Paris for our last night. After staying here during the first part of our trip, I cancelled our 2nd Paris hotel and rebooked this one for our last night. It was that perfect. We adored this charming well located hotel. We had tiny Garrett room with balcony and chandelier oozing with romance. Breakfast delivered and enjoyed on the balcony was a great treat. Fresh, hot and delicious food. Lovely staff. Easy to work with and responded to my college french in French without a trace of impatience. It was not at all noisy as had been mentioned in Rick Steve's book. read more

Oh, my. This hotel is the most memorable and the loveliest hotel I've ever stayed at in my entire life. I've stayed at lots of hotels.... This hotel was perfect in every way. First of all, we arrived early in the morning after many hours of traveling. We were exhausted but also excited to be in Paris! They held our bags and directed us downstairs to eat breakfast while they got our room ready for us. Now, this may sound over exaggerative.. But the breakfast blessed my entire life. I now wake up sometimes from a dream because I feel like I taste the fresh orange juice. It came complete with freshly squeezed orange juice, the most wonderful orange pekoe tea, soft boiled egg, kiwi, chocolate & regular croissants, wonderful white bread, and the most amazing butter and raspberry jam I've ever tasted. I would give anything to have that breakfast right now! The hotel also transports you to the year 1850. There is a beautiful harp in the lobby. The furniture and walls are divine. Our room was so gorgeous, with a balcony and an amazing view! Bed was sooo comfy and had little charging usb ports so that we didn't even need an outlet converter (from USA). Bathroom was wonderful and came with robes for us to wear. I slept like a baby even though I was sick from the long flight The location is unbeatable! We were able to walk basically anywhere. And when we needed to take the train, we got on at the Hotel DeVille. They also provided us with free museum tickets to the Muse d'orangerie and a free boat ride on the Seine! Every day, the man or woman at the front desk was soooo beyond sweet and helpful. Our room, bed, shower, balcony, bathroom, toilet, Breakfast and overall Paris experience was just perfect. It is a dream of mine to return to the loveliest, Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais! At the end of our stay, my boyfriend and I wrote a long letter to the staff to sincerely thank them for the most memorable hotel experience of our lives. My boyfriend and I went on vacation for our 5 year anniversary and stayed in 4 different accommodations in the cities we visited. This, by far, was our favorite. This actually might be the cutest hotel I've ever stayed in in my life. And I've stayed in a lot of hotels. It's a small boutique type hotel with the best customer service you'll ever find. So the airline lost my boyfriends bag, and the lady who works here was in communication with the airline to make sure we got our bags as soon as possible. She was calling them several times a day! What great service! The room itself was very cute and had a small little balcony as well. It was cozy, and decorated in a way where you actually felt like you were in France -- exactly what I wanted. We also tried their breakfast one morning, and wow. It was awesome! It came complete with butter croissants, chocolate croissants, baguette, jams, yogurt, boiled egg, and other things I can't even remember now. My boyfriend, who has lived in France, said it was a very traditional french breakfast. Everything about this place was perfect. We will definitely be staying here next time we visit! read more

If you're wanting that charming Parisian style hotel in one of the best neighborhoods that's super comfortable and has great service from start to finish, you should stay here. It's located a few short blocks from rue des Rosiers, where all the best cheap eats like L'As du Fallafel, La Droguerie and Miznon are. The bed was big and comfortable. The shower was great - big and the water pressure was good. Everyone spoke English and was super nice and approachable. We would definitely stay here again! read more

It's very quaint and French, in a GREAT location (you can walk to so many places!) and, most importantly, the staff at the reception desk become like local friends who help with everything. This is truly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in it is tiny it is spectacularly clean it has incredibly nice staff and I dictated a run-on sentence filled with praise but I think it's probably appropriate for the run-on of incredibly good service I would go back there in a minute I would recommend it to anyone I stay there because I knew I would have sore feet and when I had time to rest I wanted to be able to be in the middle of things in Paris and that's exactly what I got. read more

We recently spent a few nights and days of our month long honeymoon in Paris at Hotel Caron. It was a fantastic experience! We first checked in and our room wasn't ready...the front desk was happy to hold our bags, provide wifi and give us some suggestions on sightseeing and such. The staff was very nice and accommodating from check in to check out. (They even sent up some complimentary champagne for our honeymoon.) So sweet!! The neighborhood, Le Marais, is the best hood to stay in Paris (IMO). It's close and central to any sightseeing...but you walk out your door and feel like you're in a Paris hood and not some tourist trap hell. (There is a lot of tourist stuff obviously in Paris so I would just suggest not staying too close to any big attractions...ie Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, etc). I just can't stand feeling like I'm in the middle of tourist central but I suppose some people like that. The room at Caron is quaint and comfortable. It's a very modest size room but we never felt cramped. The windows opened right to the street but it's not a main drag so car traffic is minimal. But there are plenty of people walking around nearby to make it feel like "Paris is right outside". It's really cool. We ate gelato and sat by the window at night and had a front, balcony view of some Paris nightlife. The bed is semi-comfortable. The shower/bathroom is average. Nothing negative here. Just nothing special either. The breakfast area downstairs felt a little dark as its downstairs below ground level. Nice and quaint but we never hung out down there and just got croissants in the am at a nearby cafe. If you're looking for a nice stay in Paris, I would highly recommend. If you're looking for a super updated, ritzy type of hotel, this isn't for you. But I'll say...I'm a very particular person when it comes to where I stay, and I would absolutely stay at Caron next time we visit Paris. read more

This hotel is quaint, charming and lovely. I was already staying in Paris at a different hotel, and decided to stay an extra night. My mom messaged me and told me that her patient said I HAVE to stay at Caron de Beaumarchais. Unfortunately, through the chain of communication, I ended up thinking the hotel was a lot of less expensive then it in fact was. I called up the hotel to see if they had a room free for that night for around 120 euros. The nice man on the phone (the manager) told me that they didn't offer any rooms for 120... that their least expensive was something like 170€ per night. Sensing my disappointment, he offered to give me one of their nicest rooms (usually 190€) for 135. Well worth the money! We had an exceptional breakfast in bed and an amazing view. The rooms and the hotel itself transport you to the 18th century, and the location cannot be beat. Highly recommended! read more

This is a charming hotel in Paris, located in a wonderful neighborhood with easy access to most everything. Though it is small, everything is done to perfection. We loved our little room with a usable balcony, the fresh flowers, the delicious supersized breakfast tray we had delivered to our room for just 13 euros. There are so many cute and clever details to the design and atmosphere of this hotel. Most important though, it's the people who work here who add to the specialness of this place. The front desk is manned 24/7 and they are always ready to help you out with directions, info, printing out tickets or greet you with a friendly smile and hello. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and while the rooms are tiny and old-fashioned in just about every respect, we don't mind. Everything is immaculate and warm in winter. We've stayed in Hotels from New York to Tokyo, Reykjavík to İstanbul and none have been as service oriented and accommodating. The hotel location couldn't be better, the restaurants and museums are within a short walk for the most part and the rooms have a definite old Paris feel... in a great way. We disregarded the breakfast in bed for 3 days, but ordered it the last morning and it was perfect! The staff hailed us a cab and brought our bags out, and even gave us $150 Opera tickets that a previous guest couldn't use on our first night(certainly happenstance, but very thoughtful.) Without hesitation, we would stay again every time we visit Paris. 110% recommendation. read more

What a gem and a great value! My wife and I just had a fabulous stay at Hotel Caron du Beaumarchais. Here are a few ways I would describe this hotel and our experience there: The character of a great B&B. The moment after, we walked into the lobby, put down your bags and met the staff, we had the sense that we chose the right place. The small but highly functional lobby was adorned with all sorts of relics waiting to tell their stories. It felt a bit like we were guests in the comfortable, elegant but not lavish country home of a cultural historian with a sense of humor. Except that this country home was plopped down in the middle of one of the most walkable neighborhoods in all of Paris. If you are looking for the opposite of the cookie cutter mega chain hotel, this is it. There are just dozens of nice little surprises. Our room had the feel of a cozy hideaway amid the hustle and bustle of the busy Parisian sidewalks below. The fireplace in the lobby also adds to the sense of coziness. Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful staff. Some hotels train their staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. Lord knows I've relied heavily on them over the years. But some hotels manage to hire people who delight in making your experience easier, more interesting and more enjoyable. They seem to frequently go well beyond the call of duty. Hotel Caron du Beaumarchais is such a hotel. My only issue was that I sometimes felt bad for taking so much of their time with very basic questions about the neighborhood, transportation options, etc. because they would give so much of their time. Phenomenal location. It would be difficult to imagine a better location. Within walking distance is a cornucopia of cafes, shops, bars, restaurants, markets, amazing sites, etc. All the major sites we wanted to see and all the neighborhoods inside the city limits were within easy reach. Tasty and abundant breakfast. My wife tried the hotel breakfast while I slept in. She said that everything was fresh and delicious. And abundant! Perhaps even a bit excessive. For 13 Euros, she said that they brought her a croissant, chocolate croissant, a baguette, soft boiled egg, yogurt, a kiwi, two kinds of jam, plus tea, coffee or hot chocolate. read more

Charming small hotel in a wonderful location in Paris. We stayed three nights and loved the hotel. Rooms are small - but its Europe, so to be expected. The owner is fantastic and gives great recommendations. We were told to take a metro or taxi, but were able to walk to the Louve and Eiffle Tower with ease. Breakfasts are not included, but fantastic and provide a TON of food. Great shopping around the hotel as well. I picked this hotel as I saw a blurb in Conde Nast claiming it was one of the best hotels for traditional charm with modern comfort - couldn't agree more! read more

I recently stayed here for 9 days with my girlfriend and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very charming and helpful and the hotel is so frikken cute. The 18th century furniture and musical instruments were comforting and fitting for the beautiful area. Their breakfasts are insanely good and service was always with a smile. The only thing that I wish was that they had an ironing board and iron in the room not one that you have to borrow from the downstairs. I wasn't totally thrilled with being billed for 10 nights when we only stayed for 9, however. We thought we would arrive earlier, but the reservation was already made. I reckon it wasn't their fault, but it would have been nice to have them waive the day we were not present being that we did stay for over a week. read more

Absolutely loved this little hotel in Paris! Not too far walking distance from many of the sites you'll want to see, and incredibly nice, helpful staff. Everyone there speaks perfect English, but they will suffer through your French if you are trying to use it (and politely give you help on pronunciation). The breakfast is tasty, huge and inexpensive - you get several pieces of fresh bread, croissants, etc...a fresh hard boiled egg, tea or coffee, a little jar of pate - we couldn't even finish it all. The rooms are small, but who cares - it's quaint, charming and cute. The oddest thing we couldn't figure out was the shower. There is no curtain or door, and there was also not a working stopper for the tub. So, you had to shower, and no matter how you shower, water will go everywhere. We basically used the handheld head to shower down, turn water off, soap up, and handheld it to rinse off again. Not the most relaxing hot shower after a day of walking all over Paris, but because of all the other benefits to the hotel, we didn't even care!! read more

Cute little place to stay in the Marais. You cant miss it, and tourists will walk by and STOP to look in the window that is how cute it is. Best place for Marie Antoinette-era fans. The rooms are small and quaint, but very clean, simple, with comfortable beds. Staff is accommodating and helpful. The breakfast is very lovely, I recommend ordering the breakfast its extra money but they serve fairly late for a Parisian hotel. It is more than enough to start a day of sight seeing. Request the little room at the top with the balcony! I will be staying here on my next trip to Paris read more

We have stayed at this boutique hotel several times and all I can say is that it's fantastic. The staff a very attentive and gracious. Phillip,Genevieve, and others at the front desk are wonderful. Phillip speaks four languages. Kitchen and housekeeping staff are on the same par. The location is right in between St Paul and Hotel Deville metro stops and a short 2 block walk to the Seine and the Ile St Louis. My wife loves shopping at BHV which is a 2 minute walk at most. Turn right out of the hotel and you will soon find yourself in the heart of the Marais with its many shops and restaurants. I would recommend rooms in the front of the hotel as they are larger than those in the back. Rooms 20 and 21 have balconies over looking rue de veille temple. Give it a try you won't be disappointed! read more

The hotel is very clean and charming, and everyone who works there is extremely nice and helpful. Adorable boutique townhouse hotel in a perfect Marais location. It's not a flagship luxury hotel but more of a hybrid between a hotel and an upscale B & B: but what they do, they do right. The décor is antique Ancient Régime charm, the staff are competent and courteous, and the location wonderful. You won't be swimming in extra room, but the place is done up so attractively that you can enjoy the wallpaper and relax. I would've wished our bed a little larger, but we did opt for one of the smaller rooms in the older front section, so there. Definitely a romantic spot in a romantic town. read more
