We had a very bad experiance last week with the Scallop dinner. 2 people that had the Scallops out of our party of five, got food poisoning. We contacted the health department and determined we were correct. I would pass on this restaurant. It took 2 days to recover. There Health rating is a 66 out of 100. read more

Tonight we picked up dinner from Nolan's. It was wonderful! Everything was well prepared an hot/ cold as expected. As good (well, almost)) as eating in. A surprise bonus of cookies was included. A reai treat! read more

The best Seafood in the Finger lakes i sad the salmon platter my wife had the seafood combination both meals were simply marvelous

I had take out from there. They brought it out to my car. The quality was as good as if I had eaten inside. Great food.

Pretty ok fare. Clean. Soup was good, but bland. Chicken lunch special was cold. French fries are just regular coated restaurant style frozen.. fresh cut would be a lot better. ... Then possibly, warrant a 4 star. Friends had the beef french dip sandwich. This looked better. I hear the cod fish is good ? Service was excellent. read more

We were expecting a good meal as we have heard it was a really good restaurant. I ordered the Fish and Chips. The fish looked good but was extremely soggy. I could not eat it. And it had a strong fish smell. The coleslaw was delish. My husband ordered chicken fingers that he couldn't even bite into. Truly a disappointment. Also, we overheard the table next to us complain about their lamb. We did have one of the best server that we have had in a long time. read more

Called to make a reservation and the lady said we're full you can't get a table at all. Not even it would be an estimated wait so sincerely fuck this place read more

Nolan's took our reservation the day of just a few hours before dinner. When we got there, we were seated a few minutes past our reservation time. The waitress took a lengthy time to come back and get our order (after checking to see if we were ready and we were not yet). There aren't too many wines served there that are actually made in the finger lakes so being a visitor, that was a bummer. The captains platter was actually a great deal. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster was portioned well, the veggies were cooked tenderly & the tomato basil dressing on the salad was delicious. The scallops were melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The penne was slightly over cooked. They serve a great bread. The jumbo shrimp and cocktail sauce had a nice spice. We ended the night with a peanut butter pie which was more like I thick buckeye filling but it was decadent. The staff was rushed but kind. Overall, our time at Nolan's was good and we left very satisfied. read more

I was excited to try the new building after the fire. I was sadly underwhelmed while having my prime rib tonight. My red smashed potatoes were lukewarm at best and so was our waitress. I could see her boobs and that was probably the only exciting thing about her. Not worth the price. Only good thing I could say is they did get us in quickly but I think that's because nobody wants to go there. Not once did our waitress ask if our food was good she probably said five words to us at max. Overall mediocre experience and not worth the money. read more

Stopped in without a reservation and was told we could sit at the bar without a reservation. We found two seats snd as we settled in, another hostess came over and told us those two particular seats were reserved. Get your story straight folks. It was embarrassing after we said hello to someone sitting next to us and having the bartender welcome us. Good food but bad policies. We won't be visiting again! read more

Never wrote a bad review but this time ,I had to. Went with family and friends. Some local. One an Insurance agent in town who frequents this restraint . Wife order was Todds pork chop. Wife couldn't eat it because it was to salty. Server asked if she wanted something different, so she ordered salmon. It didn't come out until most everyone was finished with there's. On the bill, they initially charged $40.00 when the menu said $32.00 Then when her meal was deducted on the bill they only removed $32.00. Then mine which was the 12 Oz prime rib. The menu price was $39.00. I was charged $45.00. Finally, where both items on the bill showed side salad were included and additional $8.00 side salad was charged. Felt I was charged $20.00 over what I understand it should have been. The food was very good but why these discrepancies, I don't understand. I gave a 20% tip with not seeing these discrepancies on the bill because the service was fine. read more

Three stars is all we can give. Beautiful place. Service good not great. Leadership for this restaurant is weak. Everything was attention to detail issues. Pasta with clams and shrimp. Served with 4 clams. One of them was not open (sign it is bad). No one in final inspection in the kitchen noticed? Steak with a sauce on top. Sauce was lazily and sloppily applied. No one noticed? Vegetables served in a bowl swimming in butter. I mean swimming! And finally, bus people far too eager to clear your plates. Simple restaurant etiquette 101, plates are not cleared until everyone is finished. read more

The steak was terrible. One of the worse steaks I had in my life. Poor quality also with the rest of the food. Stay away!

Made an early Valentines Day reservation and arrived early. Took us right in. Loved that. Our waitress Stephanie was great. Very attentive. Loved the atmosphere. Our food was delicious. My only complaint is the price. $9 for a quarter of a Glass of wine??? Disgusting. Overall...great experience but won't be going again. Too pricey for me read more

Another disappointing visit in the last 2 months, i'll share our experience tonight. We all ordered dinner plates which come with salad and a side, mom ordered a salad with balsamic vinaigrette and got a little surprise at the end as she's tossing the last few salad greens on her plate, a disgusting green worm. We decided to stay and eat our dinner and had a manager come out at the end of our meal offering mom if she wanted to take a salad home (big insult), she then offered to take something off the bill and I went ahead and told her this was not about taking anything off our $161 bill but to have a more sanitary place and ask her staff to be more vigilant. She apologized with a big smile and once our bill came, we noticed a credit for $23 (kitchen error), at this point we paid and left. Be careful with this place, last time my wife's steak had a hair underneath and we were told that no one in the kitchen has long hair, neither does my wife. Never going back. read more

Food was good and service was good. And then my husband came down with all the symptoms of food poisoning later that night. He ordered the special, which was a burger of some sort, medium rare. Sad, because we enjoyed ourselves while there. I ordered the Mediterranean Grain bowl with salmon, which was huge and delicious. read more

The great Wegmans of Rochester, NY, recommended Nolan's, so I went ahead and tried it. You've really lost your mind if you rate this restaurant even 4 stars. The food here is absolutely outstanding. I had my mother's retirement party here, and it was spectacular. I had an open bar, and a choice of beef tenderloin, pasta station, and salad station. We also had homemade desserts by Nolan's. I didn't hear a single complaint from anyone. I really could have never stopped eating the whole evening. Erica, our hostess and coordinator, was friendly and attentive from the beginning. Everything was organized from set-up to the DJ's, everything. A couple grand well spent. I wouldn't hesitate coming back here. Ignore all the reviews from the Upstate NY Homers who want 5 star service, but only want to spend $13.00. Head to the golden corral if you are looking to save. read more

I was so excited to try out Nolan's new location as I had been to the previous one years ago. It was my husband birthday dinner so I was really hoping for a good meal in a special place. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I'll start with the actual ambiance. Nice inside. Nice bar area. I requested outside thinking there was a lake view. I was so disappointed to overlook the parking lot and road. The booths were large and somewhat uncomfortable. The food was super expensive and not well made. My husbands prime rib was very tasty but the fattiest piece I've ever seen. It maybe had a quarter of actual edible meat. My lobster and shrimp pasta was watery, lobster overcooked and pasta had a weird texture. For $30 each I expected a better quality and cook. The worst part of the meal was the service. I haven't had such awful service in a very long time. Our waitress with the purple hair was one of the rudest people I've ever encountered in hospitality. She acted like she was mad we were there. It was very odd. Everything she asked from drink orders to dinner was with a major attitude. Our dinners took well over an hour to arrive. She never checked on us and we asked for the bill to be brought over with our dinners as we had a boat cruise to catch. It was brought over well after we finished. At this point I was super annoyed and mad we spent so much money on such a horrible experience. I usually wouldn't leave such a bad review but it was so ridiculous and ruined the dinner portion of a birthday celebration. read more

We were seated outside and they took our order. Then the server came out and asked for our "membership card" and when we said we weren't members they said they only served members and we had to leave. No information online saying they are members only? Not posted on the door or anywhere else that it's a private club. Read the reviews and I don't see anyone saying anything about it being private so I get the vibe they just wanted to kick us out... read more

This was our first time at Nolan's. Everything we ordered was amazing except for the prime rib. It was actually the worst prime rib I have ever had. Our waitress was amazing and she felt horrible and replaced the prime rib with another cut from a different roast. It was very slightly better but still horrible. Very very dry. But again everything else was amazing including our waitress. We will try it again hoping maybe it was just an off night for coming the prime rib. read more

Enjoy the atmosphere. Love the menu and is as good as my husband would cook. Plus - Debbie is the Best.

We went to Nolan's last night for an early dinner. There were six of us on the outside covered deck with a fantastic view of Canandaigua Lake. The food is OK. I've had much better and yes, I've had much worse. It was tasty but unfortunately cooked to the point of being dry (chicken parm and fish fry) or just plain odd (gray prime rib with a weird yellowish rub on the surface). Fellow diners said the best item was the bacon wrapped scallop app. None of us had steak, so perhaps that is their specialty? Salads were typical iceberg/greens with usual veggies. Nothing special. Our server was very friendly and efficient with one exception (forgotten wine order), but overall no problems there. I wish they had a better selection of NY wines. There were only maybe 5-6 options. I'll go back for the view alone, but def will try some other options like the steak. read more

So happy to have Nolan's back and better than ever. We brought an out of town family member to check out the updates for lunch. We got a beautiful booth with views of the upscale bar and the great room dining area with fireplace. The service was friendly, but mist impressive was the food. Six soups, with seafood chowder and beef stroganoff stew ordered by our party. Delish! I had their special - shrimp salad on a soft knotty role with soup. Salads are a great option with "add a protein" option, including bacon wrapped scallops. Next time, I'll have to try some dessert too. Loved it. read more

I have frightful news. Tonight I ate at Nolan's with my sweetheart. The night began well, good bread and nice soup of the French onion variety. Things were going so well.... until she ordered a steak salad and I the rack of lamb. When our food came, I had to use a magnifying glass. I literally had an ounce of meat on my plate and a spoonful of mashed potatoes. I had expected a rack of lamb for a $34 price tag. What I received was a war ration portion that left me wondering what I will eat for second dinner. Also, where is my side of vegetable? Just potatoes and no meat. WTF?? Also, that Caesar salad with steak, had 4 pieces of steak and literally 4 croutons. We are still here starving. I hate starving. You should too. To sum it up. I spent 130 bucks here tonight with tip, and I'm wondering WTF I did that for, what a waste of money. Now I can't afford a Porsche 911 gt3. Thanks a lot Nolan.. the old woman's gonna beat me. read more

We went to Nolans last night. We wont be returning. The wait staff was very nice and their service pretty good. However, the food was very disappointing. The salad was even bad. No bread which was surprising. My boyfriend ordered the captain's platter and never got the shrimp cocktail. I ordered the steak au poivre which is medallions of tenderloin with a lovely sauce. I asked for medium rare and got something between medium and WELL done. The sauce was thick and no liquid to it all. I told the waitress and she sent mgmt over and they of course offered to remake it but it was late and I was starving so I ate the lobster tail which was good. The worst part of this whole experience was that they didnt bother to take the meal off of our bill!! Unbelievable restaurant etiquette. They did give us a free dessert. read more

Where do I begin, I know it's tough to find back (service) people but the manager/hostess/owner tolerates masks being worn over the mouth only. Special dinner out last night and was disappointed in the food. We were early too, so the kitchen should not have been overwhelmed. Calamari appetizer was drowned in the sauce they listed on menu and ruined the crispiness of the calamari. Was listed as garlic parmesan sauce. Did not come close to tasting like description and lemon in sauce was too strong and did not pair well with the tomato sauce. My husband had the rack of lamb. Grilled well enough, but stone cold. I had the shrimp, penne and vodka sauce. Wegman's vodka sauce is better than what I was served. Sauce was bland and did not resemble any good vodka sauce I have had. Plus the broccoli served with the dish was raw. Not cooked at all. Too pricy for the quality we experienced. read more

Great food, service, and decor. New location on Main Street, food is still great. Cowboy steak is the best deal. Just left the new location tonight - wife and I had our anniversary dinner there - but we've loved the place for a long time at old spot on lakeshore blvd. only reason it gets four stars is because of the skimpy appetizers. At old location, deep fried dill pickle spears came in a basket, now you get five in a wine glass. We also ordered bacon wrapped scallops - we got three, very delicious scallops with a ramekin of drawn butter for $9.95. Again always great food and spectacular service, whether casual or formal. Enjoy! read more

Great food average service My family and I came here for lunch and we were seated in a booth and it was pretty roomy with all 6 of us. Our waitress started off by telling us the specials where I then got one of them which was the chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread, one of my favorites. My chicken was moist, the bread was lightly toasted and the cheese was perfectly melted. The French onion soup was delicious as well, it was filled with flavor My family said they really enjoyed their open faced Ruben and would recommend I probably will be coming back read more

Nolan's has very good food normally. It's expensive but usually, it's delicious. But when I took a large group there we got the worst service we've ever had there which is unusual. And my scallops were undercooked. I don't know what went wrong that night but it really soured my opinion of one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I felt like we were a nuisance to the waitstaff and I don't know why. We had a reservation. Our appetizers came with no plates or utensils. The table wasn't set up for us and our waitress took forever to come back with plates. Then she didn't bring enough. It wasn't very busy that night so it didn't seem like she was overworked, just not paying attention. I had to get up and go to the bar for napkins. We just felt very ignored. And when you have 8 people out for a nice dinner that is going to cost a LOT you expect good service. It's too bad. It made me not want to go back. The times I've been there with just two of us it's been great. So it's possible that it's just not a good place to take a large group. read more

I never have had a bad meal at Nolan's. Great filet, prime rib, lobster ravioli, chicken French--you cannot go wrong. Love their calamari appetizer.
