I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch as well as a dinner at Peppers in Canandaigua, NY this week. The lunch was with a hearing impaired friend. We asked for a quiet spot and were blessed with a booth at the far end of the dining area where it was not only quiet but cozy and conducive to a wonderful two-hour birthday celebration. My friend was very enthused and proclaimed, "this is a place I will be sure to return to". We both ordered the Salmon Caprese which was a daily special. I liked it so much that my husband and I returned to Peppers for dinner in hopes of ordering it again. The waitress said at 6:15 they were already out of the Salmon it was so popular. I had no problem finding a second choice as shown in the photo I am adding. The service was excellent, and our server returned several times to ask if we had everything we needed. I am happy they are only 16 miles from home.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with my dad. All the staff were super friendly and greeted us upon entering. Our waitress was very attentive checking on us several times as well as another staff member making sure everything was going well. We arrived about 10 minutes after opening on a Wednesday. It was picking up and seemed to get quite busy towards the noon hour. We were seated in a cozy little booth and it was relatively quiet during our meal in the restaurant. Our food was delicious and I will definitely eat here again.

Quiche and a cup of soup

Great variety on their menu. From burgers to pasta. Sadly I didn't save room for dessert but they looked great. Service was friendly and fast. Their quiche of the day was great. Bacon, caramelized onion and cheese. Delicious. If you are a soup lover they have a great daily selection.

The environment is very family friendly. The host helped us get our newbornborn child situated at our booth; both our server and the rest of the staff were friendly and had a smile on their face. The food was decent but nothing to write home about, the wrap was a little cold and the chicken was a bit rubbery. For a greasy spoonrestaurant, I would recommend if you can't find anything else.

Stopped in for lunch on an early Monday afternoon. Wasn't overly busy but steady with people coming & going. Friendly and attentive staff. Kind of family restaurant feel. Booths & tables. Clean. Food was good. Had chef salads and chicken nuggets so not complicated dishes to prepare. Will return to try other dishes.

Porky's Nightmare

I can only give this place a four star rating because I was definitely not completely satisfied. I will however start out by saying the actual wraps and sandwiches are priced pretty decent for a place like this, however the other pasta and such meals are too high. I had "Jumbo Shells" the first time I went and they were in fact NOT jumbo whatsoever. I received 5 small stuffed shells with sauce. This was over $20. Jumbo Stuffed shells are way larger everywhere else I've ever gotten them. This time I got the Porky's Nightmare and my wife got the chicken Philly. The wrap I had was extremely good and had a lot of good flavor. Texas slaw was good as well. My wife's chicken Philly was also good, but served on roll and not a hoagie roll and came with what I assume to of been French dip sauce. It was also very good. Now, where I find the biggest problem and ripoff is the desserts. We tried a couple lives of pie and the they were mediocre. However, the cost of them was the issue. We got very small, would even say tiny slices and they were $9 each. One slice was definitely not even close to an actual slice of pie anywhere else I've ever been. Dessert is not worth the price here. Other than that, all else was good.

Tortellini pizza with added meatballs. Omg, YUM!!!!

Five long years later, I'm able to revisit one of my favourite restaurants and I was not…read moredisappointed. Having made reservations for 7:30pm, we arrived early and waited for our table to be ready. We made a note in our reservation for a booth on the fireplace side, and the woman (host) worked hard to make sure that happened. After sitting down, we placed in a couple appetizers. The bacon-wrapped scallops were delightful. The bacon, crispy and the scallops incredibly tender. Served with a side of drawn butter, but these were delicious on their own. As for the loaded potato puffs, we received a generous number of puffs, and each one was also very tasty. The sriracha ranch sour cream was the cherry on top. For mains, we opted in for the prime rib, and Delmonico "cowboy" cut. The prime rim was incredibly tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Served with a phenomenal au jus, this is the best prime rib I've ever had. I can confidently say that about the Delmonico steak as well. This 20 oz. center-cut, bone-in was grilled to the perfect requested medium-rare. Seasoned perfectly, tender and juicy. Although I didn't care much for the gorgonzola cheese sauce, the steak was amazing. We also ordered a side of lobster tail. This was also incredibly tender and really brought the meals together. To end all things, we ordered their creme brulee served in a chocolate shell. This was a great dessert, although I would have preferred the custard to be firmer, and less chocolate sauce overall. I found the generous amount of chocolate sauce on the bottom of the plate, and on top of the creme brulee, on top of the chocolate shell they're served in to be over the top. Nevertheless, we enjoyed this dessert. I want to point out, all the staff members including the owner was very kind and welcoming. From the initial host to our server Lauren, to her boss who came around to ask us how everything was, the staff are very hospitable. Add in a warm and cozy dining room area with a fireplace, this is easily a 10/10 experience for us. We will make it a point to revisit more often and not years in between.

For anyone interested in the prime rib, I highly recommend getting the 20oz (look at the picture!!) because this was massive and could easily feed two people, especially considering it comes with a side. My only regret is ordering my own meal (the Sheridan) and not splitting the prime rib with my BF. Luckily our leftovers made a great second meal. We also tried the garlic bread which was great, and I have to give a shoutout to the free bread that came at the beginning of our meal, because the sweet butter on the side was to die for. Also, love that our servers came to ask if we wanted more bread (we declined because we knew we ordered a ton of food). Finally, please get the raspberry margarita. This was the best raspberry margarita I've ever had. I wish I ordered this to start instead of the strawberry margarita, so that I could've had TWO raspberry margaritas instead of one raspberry and one strawberry. Can't wait to come back!

This was an incredible find! I have been making my own pasta. Something passed down to me through…read moremy family. I've never eaten boxed pastas and will not eat at restaurants that do or have make their own. With all that said. I can no longer make my pasta, and it's been a struggle. I finally wised up, and googled fresh homemade pasta. Bingo! The Pasta Shoppe came up and had 4.9 stars. I bought Spaghetti, Tortellini, their bolognese sauce, and meatballs. I wanted to surprise my husband, because he has been taking care of me, while I've been sick (cancer) I brought this home and made him dinner. Neither of us cared for the meatballs. Which we kinda expected. Cooking meatballs and then freezing them, makes for a rubbery meatball. But if they could figure that out, they would be great, because they had nice flavor. So if you're used to precooked meatballs this is your place. If you are only used to homemade. I'd recommend skipping. The spaghetti was perfect, 3 minutes and whole, just like I make. I enjoyed them very much. Have not tried the tortellini yet. I froze them. But I'm excited for them, they look fantastic. Bolognese sauce was wonderful. I would buy again, but will probably try a different sauce next time. Haven't try them all, right? I'm so happy that Incan gets the quality pasta I'm used to, without all the work. It may seem expensive to some, but it's better than any restaurant, so it's cheaper than eating out.! And if you ever made your own, you know how much hard work and love has to go into it. It's impossible to make pasta without love, so worth every penny.

Got to pop into this adorable shop last week and am SO looking forward to patronizing this spot…read moreconsistently. Close to my home, so many different pasta options, sauces, and more! Parking is easy and if you're in a real carb binge vibe, you can pick up some Balsam Bagels right across the street. The shop itself is quite small. You'll see coolers on the left hand side and fresh cut pasta in the case by the register. I grabbed some sauce for my sister from here. I don't think one thing inside the store is vegan, so I didn't end up with anything for myself. My sister said the sauce was life changing and the variety of pasta has me excited to try them out in a future, non-vegan moment of my life. Friendly staff, community vibes all around. Go scope it out!
