last evening, my mother and I took a joyride to sightsee as she is elderly and doesn't get out much/does not drive anymore... Long story short, we found Peppers, and we chalked it up to a diner, which was fine with us. Upon entering, we saw the delicious specials board and the friendly, welcoming greetings.... I had an interesting salad on my mind, and Bam! There it was the grilled chicken with roasted beets over spinach! It is one of the most delicious salads I've had in a long time, and I am a cook, who appreciates lovely, fresh vegetables, especially when they are roasted! mom had the stuffed shells with meatballs, and she was delighted! Our server, Alicia, was most hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu, as she is a part-time cook there! We ordered the strawberry layer, cake and lemon, meringue pie to go, and to our surprise, Alicia had slipped us to a nicest big pieces!!(tasted, homemade and divine) an unexpected surprise, We definitely highly recommend, and we will return!-Marci from Rochester read more

Absolutely the worst quiche (served dried up and just this side of burnt black). Ordered a combo quiche and soup and was charged extra for the soup (no indication that this was going to happen) which would have been bad enough if it hadn't been awful. The waitress was rude and slow. When I complained about the meal I was told they hoped it wouldn't effect whether we returned Hmmm we will not be returning, why would we? read more

March 7, 2019 5 PM - 6 PM Wine is sold in small bottles that contain only two glasses. 15 bucks a bottle. The size of the bottle is not advertised on the menu. My wife had the hay and straw. I had the veal parmigian. Salad was small. Complimentary bread was stale. Hay and Straw was oily and underseasoned. Veal was the consistency of shoe leather. Brought ONLY the veal to the attention of management at the end of the meal. Did not receive obligatory "we are terribly sorry." Received "you should have flagged me down" "you should have told the waitress." and "I am sorry that you did not say something" AND management was SHOCKED when I said that I believe a meal should be cooked correctly on the first try. It isn't my responsibility to monitor their kitchen. Thursday night. The place was less than 1/4 full. Now I know why. read more

Good service and great food. The lobster bisque is fantastic as well as the smoked gouda tomato soup. Lots of yummy desserts. Fast service and a pleasant atmosphere read more

Peppers used to be one of my favorite places for a casual dinner/date night. I was very sad when it closed randomly a few years back with no warning. Ever since it reopened under new ownership, I've been dying to get back to Canandaigua and create some new memories at an old favorite. I went on a Friday night, and as was common back in the day, this place was hopping. Super busy, the parking lot was packed. However, we didn't have to wait very long at all. Maybe ten minutes, no longer than that. The vibe inside is extremely similar to what I remember. There's a nice mix of clientele, which should tell you that the food is just good; appeals to everyone. We tried the fried calamari as an appetizer, and then I had the black and blue salad while my friend had the buffalo chicken wrap. His wrap didn't seem to be very full, so portion size was a little disappointing, but he said flavor was good and that he didn't regret his choice. My salad was AMAZING. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out cooked exactly as I ordered, perfectly juicy and flavorful. I could eat this salad once a week, it's that good. I didn't love the calamari, there was just nothing special about their presentation, and I've had better calamari at many, many other places. I wouldn't reorder. The restaurant was clean, staff seemed generally pleasant, and the prices are very reasonable. I will say, the acoustics in Peppers are pretty bad, and when it's busy it can be very hard to hear even someone sitting right next to you without yelling a little bit or talking directly into their ear. I'm taking off one star because the calamari just wasn't very good, and they could definitely be portioning wrap stuffings a little bit better. In addition, our waitress did seem to be a little but rushed, and while it's common for any server to state the specials for the day at basically any other restaurant, she just pointed to the chalkboard and told us that she doesn't like reading the specials and that if we wanted to know them to read the board. I don't think she was trying to be rude, but the board was not in a convenient location for us to read it, and the list wasn't extensive; it would have taken her a minute to help us out and tell us what they were. All in all, I was not disappointed by this return trip, and I will certainly be back. read more

Have been coming here for years. I have felt that the food quality has been going down hill. Decided to give it one more chance. There are so many other places to spend your money. Ordered our food and waited and waited and waited. Not many customers while we were there so just don't know why it took so long. We finally get our food and I look at my sandwich and go...hummmm?? Ordered the red osier beef with crumbly blue cheese and horseradish sauce. I see the very minimal roast beef but can't see anything on it. So very disappointed. How can I justify charging 11.00 for a sandwich and having it be made with mostly bread? The bread was delicious by the way. Last chance for us...moving on read more

Solid cafe with a wide variety of food. Lobster bisque had a great flavor despite lacking any chunks of meat. Buffalo chicken salad was very middle of the pack. Note that contrary to the hours posted, they were open on a Saturday... Pbj had crust cut off - a nice touch for the kids. read more

Ordered Chicken French, and it tasted like it had been boiled in sum type of sweet sherry. Just in case they didn't know, the sauce part is chicken stock or base, and White wine preferably dry....not sherry...Butter which is used to thicken the sauce is usually melted already not plopped on top in a disc shape still frozen in the middle....Yuck read more

We got off to a bad start with a waitress who had no time to answer any questions or suggest any specials. Drinks were ordered and came on a timely manner. Were not given and options for side orders. Prime rib was a nice cut of meat and cooked as ordered but served without au jus, so very dry and no flavor. Mashed potatoes were left In steam table to long, they had a brownish color to them. No butter or garnish on anything. Mixed veg were a boiled mess of soggy something ? Bread was brought during dinner after my wife asked if it came with our meal. My wife had the strip steak which was a nicely cooked steak. No offer to refill drinks or ask how everything was. The soup was very good. It's also a bit pricey for a dinner type restaurant. Overall it just missed on so many points. Probably more suitable for lunch. read more

Very boring. The desserts were terrible. Service was ok. The soup was awful. Sandwich was dry.

I went for the first time in a while. The price for a meal went up and the portion size went down. Not the greatest quality food.what a dissapointment. Do not recommend . read more

Was pretty disappointed with my BBQ Chicken Wrap. It was not very visually appealing and the taste was mediocre at best. Fries not salted or seasoned and not crispy at all. Calamari was decent though. read more

Excellent meal at a great price. 2 for 2 so far. The waiter was a bit harried and distracted, but dinner came quickly. Desert was a very slow process though, but I gave 5 stars for the food. Next time I can try a different server. read more

We always go there to have a wonderful homecooked meal. You can have a glass of wine or beer. The only wish is that they carried more Finger Lakes Wines. read more

We tried Peppers Deli & Pastas for our first time tonight. It was very good, the salmon was cooked to perfection & very good. My husband loved the prime rib. The waitress was friendly, as well as the other staff. We will definitely be back for sure, not many times you find a good restaurant lately!! read more

Not closed anymore! New Owners since April 2017. Went to Peppers on Saturday for lunch. We had a group of about 12 people. The service and the food were great. The look and the feel inside the dining area gave it warm welcoming feeling. It is an American restaurant with an Italian accent. Look forward to going back! read more

Good food. Excellent menu. Soups are especially terrific. I eat here at least once or twice a month. Service (waiter / waitress) is typically a 7 out of 10. Pricing is on the high side. I would eat here more often if the pricing was better. read more

Medium priced, goof, filling food in a clean atmosphere with good service. You'll like the place. Wine and beer available, though I don't imbibe, my wife does. Suitable for groups, families and couples. Good amount of parking. Daily specials are always good. Portions are perfect. Hostess and service staff are good. The place can be busy for dinner depending when you go, so get there a bit early if you plan on an appointment, concert, or movie afterward. Funny, but the reason I went in the first place was because I'd overheard one of the kitchen workers talking about how good their food was at a nearby mall. read more

Today I was looking around for a different place to eat lunch that my friend and I haven't been to yet. I came across this restaurant and the staff seemed very happy and welcoming. The restaurant seemed okay as in cleanliness. The color scheme of the place was also very well fitting for the name and type of food. Although it seemed to take a while for the food to be ready, it came in large portions. I'm satisfied :) read more

Peppers is so much more than a deli and pasta! Under new ownership, the daily specials are fantastic. The service is excellent. They serve high quality food at reasonable prices. We've been several times and have never been disappointed! It's a nice treat! read more

Great atmosphere! Wide variety of food. Menu for the kiddos. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful!

This place was great when it first opened. Apparently the original owners sold it approx 5 years ago. We stopped in today during the late afternoon and the hostess was non-verbal and made no eye contact. The table still had crumbs from the previous guests. It did not even smell like any food was being cooked. Is everything reheated? We only had drinks and left. The iced tea tasted like water. The restroom was dimly lit and was in need of some major detailed cleaning. Yeeech. read more

Excellent chicken noodle soup! Smoked turkey wrap amazing. Great service from Jessica.
