    Pimento cheese hush puppies
    Jenn L.

I was not as impressed this time visiting at lunch. Nice to sit outside! The hush puppies were good, just think cornbread with pepper jam on top, and don't expect pimento cheese. The soup was pretty bad honestly. Very heavy chili seasoning and texture was very off putting. The sandwich was very good which helped get the 4 stars instead of 3.

One of our favorite restaurants in town. Service and food is good every visit. If you like soup, you must try their soup of the day, even if it sounds odd or an unlikely combo. On our last visit, the special was a sausage, kale, curry, coconut (I think) soup and it was so delicious. We often have their soup specials and they are unique and delicious every time we go.

    Tuscan Walleye
    Brad O.

I ordered the Tuscan Walleye for dinner and the flavor was great! The price and quality of food is great in a town the size of Mankato. I would like to try more of the menu! My only nitpick with the dish is that the carrot puree seemed too oily but otherwise great! The drink menu is extensive and you can easily find something to enjoy and a reasonable price. Service was fast and friendly. You can make it in and out in under an hour if you prefer. Ambiance is ok. It is too bright and sterile to match the "main" dinner menu. Maybe they could turn the lights down a bit in the evenings, especially with all the Christmas lights in the windows.

Outside seating with a delicious glass of "SAV"

First- greeted by the hostess " very sweet and "welcoming " " Anika" super attentive, made sure we were shaded properly ..., attentive, great service , knowledgeable all around. She made our visit! Ambiance, inside looked crisp and clean- like Scandinavian clean, (?) not busy with "stuff". Ya know ? We chose outside. No cars driving through with their petrol blowing in your face it really was enjoyable sitting outside. Gochujang Pork belly was like eating door stoppers ( i gotta be honest) except for two pieces - wouldn't recommend you getting that UNLESS your guaranteed tender belly fat. Crab cakes delicious- Sandwiches delicious very generous but hard to eat on such small plates! Its not pretty . All in all if service is GREAT -its the service experience that makes it a memorably good experience. Wishing all at Nolabelle a successful 2026

Steak and fries - medium rare.

This was genuinely one of the best meals i've ever had. We had the blackened salmon, hilltop cocktail, steak and fries, and butter cake. the hilltop cocktail was super good and got me a nice buzz! the steak and fries were yummy and cooked well! but the salmon...oh that salmon. It's a perfectly cooked and seasoned salmon on a bed of perfectly cooked gnocchi and crisp flavorful asparagus on a bed of the greatest red sauce i've ever had. Garlicky! Tomatoey! Peppery! Perfection! I quite literally licked the plate clean. And the butter cake my goodness! It's sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Melt-in-your-mouth gooey goodness with a crispy crust with strawberry whipped cream and macerated strawberry slices. ADDICTIVE. I really could eat myself to death here. And the staff was so so nice!! The vibes were perfect. It just was all around a fantastic experience, and even though i live about 10 hours away, i am considering coming back out just for this place. i'm putting this meal up with my Gordon Ramsey meal i had in vegas. Seriously can't recommend enough.

    Chicken leg

Lovely place in the old town of Mankato. Glad to make the reservation as it seems to be a busy night here. First time being here and this place feels very young and modern. We are visiting Mankato for the first time and chose this restaurant due to its menu. There is a nice selection of burgers, sandwiches, and main courses. We ordered several main dishes and they were all quite delish. Out of all we ordered, I personally rank the following #1 Chicken Leg - I like the spiciness in the sauce. Wish it was a bit more kick for me since I like spices. It also came with broccolini which is my fav. #2 Porkchop - I was surprised that it comes with rice. The pork chop came a little dry for me but I still like it overall. I wish there was more sauce so the rice could be more flavorful. #3 Walleye - this one was okay, I think the flavor is more plain. The charcuterie board is very yummy. All items on the dish are well balanced. The truffle chips are amazing. Sizable portion tho.

    Shishito peppers and carrots

If you're looking for a slightly upscale restaurant in Mankato, it's an excellent choice. I've eaten both lunch and dinner here and the food was excellent as were the cocktails. I absolutely loved the shishito pepper appetizer. The buttered walleye was good, though almost too rich. My biggest disappointment was there are few vegetarian and at the time no vegan options for main course

    Mimosa Flight $16

Do we live in Mankato, no. But driving to brunch will always be a thing in this household. We drove out to Mankato to check out this brunch spot that has been getting rave reviews and I am so glad we stopped in. With an intimate setting with clean lines and an open kitchen plan, the food really just set the experience to a five out of five. I got their lemon, ricotta pancakes, and they were to die for. They were fluffy with a hint of acidity from the lemon and just melted in your mouth. Also got a side of their house sausage, which I totally recommend. You can definitely tell that they make those sausages to order. We also indulged in their mimosa flight, and it was really fun to try different combinations of the traditional mimosa in new and interesting ways.

Found this place on our way to Minneopa state park in Mankato. Located probably about 10 mins from the park. It's next to a few other restaurant and stores (downtown Mankato area). Street parking but there is plenty especially on a Saturday. They do have patio available but we opted for high top. Brussels sprouts- sauté with bacon and it was actually very tasty. One of the recommended high seller appetizers and it was great. Burnt pork tip- not a dish I was interested in. If you like pork belly this may be the dish for you... maybe We got sandwiches I think peach + bacon and the cubano. Decided to get the fries and salad upgrade. Fries was crispy and good. Salad was so good! Loved it. I wouldn't mind getting a full salad order next time and maybe add chicken. Service was great and good came out pretty fast. We came during off lunch hour so it wasn't busy.

We love this place! Excellent ambiance in the downtown district. Great food options on the menu. The house-special Old Fashioned is a must-order. The best appetizer on the menu hands-down is the Burrata Caprese. The service is spot on and energetic. The ability to make reservations ahead of time allows for a spot guaranteed in a space that is sometimes hard to find a table on busy nights.

Lasagna soup, dark lager, and the menu

This is a great place to dine if you're in Mankato! Good food, good drinks, and great service! On top of that you'll also be supporting a woman owned business! Not only are you eating well but you're also doing good! We tried this while visiting our warehouse provider in Mankato and by happenstance my wife liked the name so we just went there. We were pleasantly surprised by a clean ambiance, good selection of tap beer, and a great lamb burger! We also tried the lasagna soup (yes, there is such a thing but it's not for the weight conscious) and the buffalo wings tacos, all of them tasted great! Seems you can't go wrong on your selections in this place. Definitely worth a try for you adventurous people out there and for me ... definitely coming back! Oh, did I mention their espresso is awesome! Good people and good food!

I'm a fan of both of those in the northern/northwestern metro, and this place didn't disappoint! They really committed to the "garage" esthetic. The handles were tools, there were car parts all over, and even the bathroom sinks fit the part. We loved it! We sat on the patio, as recommended by the host, and were able to enjoy the gorgeous fall weather. The drinks were refreshing and generally strong. The international was like their take on a Bahama Mama, and the Mercedes was an elevated Vodka Cran. Both accompanied our meals beautifully. I opted for the Spicy Dill burger with fries and seasoned sour cream. I loved the crunch of the banana peppers and the way the cream cheese helped mute the acidity. Their fries are meaty, crispy, and overall delicious. Pair it with the seasoned sour cream and you're set!

It is very bright and airy with a tasteful amount of classic car garb. The service was friendly and offered up plenty of suggestions. Regularly checking on the table. Started with the "Trash Can Nachos". The serving size was pretty generous with a number of tostada chips covered with meat and veggies. Meat was just okay with what tasted like a pretty generic "taco" seasoning. Would have liked fresh sliced jalapeños as well instead of pickled. The "PB&J Chicken Sand (yes, sand) had a really good flavor and the bacon was cooked perfect. Chicken breast was not juicy but not dry and had a very crunchy exterior. Peanut butter was delicious but didn't taste much of the hot jam. "Olive You" Burger was LOADED with cream cheese and an ample amount of green olives. Patty was cooked towards the well done side and could have been more medium. I really enjoyed the space and the staff. The food could have been a little better but it is still new and I'm certain they will iron things out.

For very long time I had heard how weggy's has the best food, so I gave it a try and it did not impress. Then we went back a second time and it was equally unimpressive. This time around, I decided to try breakfast figuring that that could be their go-to, still very unimpressive. It first started off with a waitress who was barely listening to me, followed by an unenthusiastic completion of my order, to the dirty side of the table which she chose to ignore or maybe didn't see. When my omelette and hash browns arrived it was delivered by the kitchen staff who said sorry to me for some reason. I thought the food was delivered in a timely manner but he must just be used to people complaining.‍ I do not know if it is a growing trend, or something that everyone has just become accustomed to but eggs do not come from a carton!!!! The Omelette head absolutely no taste, and I don't know if it was just me, but I could have swore the entire time I was eating my food I was getting a heavy smell of dish soap. I prefer to not think about where it was coming from. The hash browns were all right, although they need to cook them a little bit more because they felt a little cold in the center. But at least I didn't burn my mouth. The one bright side I will give this establishment is their butter is really I had a side of toast with my omelette and the butter they had on the bread really popped. Not overpowering, but also, not too weak. Also, the Aesthetics are pleasing, I really like that they have three TVs over the bar playing different channels, the Ambiance is pleasing to the eyes and the ears. Also, I appreciate the booths being roomy and not cramped in. You can easily sit eight people at one table comfortably. That is really the best things I can say about this establishment. So if you're going someplace for the seating, I guess weggy's on campuses for you.
